During the winter season, guests enjoy convenient access to the snowmobile trail system using nearby trail connectors and road riding typical for the Upper Peninsula. Under normal winter conditions, trailering is usually not required. The property offers ample parking for trucks and trailers and sits directly on Town Lake, making it a popular choice for combining snowmobiling with ice fishing and quiet winter relaxation.
This is also a great winter option for larger groups when booked together with nearby Hiawatha’s Hideaway and Maple Ridge (approximately 0.2 miles apart). Please ask for details if you’d like help booking multiple cabins.
Spring, Summer & Fall
In the warmer months, The Perch truly shines as a lakefront retreat. Guests have direct access to Town Lake via stairs, making it easy to enjoy the water throughout the day. Kayaks are available for guest use, perfect for paddling, relaxing on the lake, and wildlife viewing.
A beautiful main-level deck overlooks Town Lake, offering an ideal spot for morning coffee, sunset views, and outdoor dining. On the lower level, a screened-in porch provides a comfortable, bug-free space to relax, read, or unwind after a day of exploring.
