The campground is surrounded by trees creating a bright forestlike atmosphere The eastern side of the campground faces Lake Towada and you can enjoy canoeing and standup paddleboarding from the campground Nearby attractions include the Yasumiya district home to the Maiden Statue and the Oirase Gorge making this campground a convenient base for planning trips
Open fires are strictly prohibited on the campground but fire pits are available for rental in the management building Firewood charcoal fire starters and lighters are also available for purchase so you can enjoy a bonfire without bringing your own equipment
