I’ll start by saying I would rent this house again. I grew up in the area and this has always been one of my favorite neighborhoods. It’s a perfect old Florida ranch home. And to be on the lake is special. It’s a convenient location with friendly neighbors. The house was exceptionally clean, and the beds were comfortable. The pull out couch mattress was terrible. A mattress topper would be appreciated by any guests that may have to use it. Our family member who was going to sleep on it ended up moving into a bedroom in my mom’s house instead.What I found very aggravating was the communication with the rental company. It felt like an interrogation. Too many people asking the same questions. Me sending what I felt was too much information to too many people. They asked for details of my underage children, which the lawyers in my family said I should not have to do. When I expressed my frustration, they apologized. That was appreciated.The kitchen is well stocked, except there were no oven mitts or pot holders.We had three towels for five people staying for nearly a full week.There were two showers, but only one bottle of shampoo. And the pillows were much too large and very uncomfortable. I ended up borrowing pillows from my mom‘s house. There is an obnoxiously large house next-door with obnoxiously bright floodlights that illuminate the master bedroom. If you want perfection, this is not the house for you. If you can adapt to the missing pieces, it’s decent.
