This is a cozy cabin great for families and groups of friends with panoramic views of the forest. Our balcony at canopy level gives a birds-eye view from your private spot, perfect for taking in the local forest. The cabin is made of wood part from our balcony you can get up to feel like you are resting in the middle of nature and enjoy a cup of coffee and see the beautiful view. You are invited to explore and enjoy this quiet secluded house and property which includes our very own access to the river, which is an easy hike to the base of the property. from 1 acre Green is a spacious and comfortable cabin with a mountain view and is only 15 minutes from downtown The house is Completely private for you we have a pool next to the river and the rainforest. The combination of really high ceilings and the location on the edge of a hill with a constant breeze and you can take a cup of coffee/wine or beer from our balcony and enjoy the always amazing rainforest Every room has an A/C with comfortable beds, The fully functional kitchen with granite counter tops is equipped with everything you need to prepare energizing breakfasts or delicious dinners. After dinner or just in the afternoon sit around and share memories in our comfortable living room or go to the playroom with a pin pong table, billiard table, and big open space for playing around. We have a trail on our property, you can walk around and explore the rainforest, looking for sloths and wildlife There are lots of tours to keep you entertained for days, Volcano hikes, Zip Lines, Hanging Bridges, ATV tours, Kayak and Paddle-board tours, Rainforest and Waterfall hikes, Horseback riding, Hot Springs, Wildlife watching tours, and more. Our concierge is always available to help you book tours, find the best restaurants, book a massage and get the most out of your time in the area We are going to be close if you need something Chachagua 15 minutes from Fortuna Town, a rural and peaceful town . We have restaurants, supermarket, pizza place just 5 minutes walking from our house Green Forest is 15 minutes from la Fortuna, you can set up your rent a car or contact us and well help you with the transfer The pool is next to the river you should walk from the house to the pool.

Fabuleux

3 families, 11 personnes pendant 4 jours. La villa était parfaite, la surface extérieure couverte avec grandes tables, lits suspendus, table billard, ping-pong nous a permis de vivre à l’extérieur malgré la session des pluies. Accès au BBQ était génial. Le restaurant voisin nous a bien dépanné pour quelques soupers. Les piscines et le spa exceptionnels et d’une grande propreté. Rien à redire sur la qualité de cette villa, un excellent séjour dans la région de LaFortuna.

Stay in La Fortuna

We had an amazing time during our stay in La Fortuna! Danny was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. Our original property that we booked, the pool was not ready, so we were moved to a different property. It definitely felt like an upgrade though! The property and was gorgeous and brand new! Each room was its own casita and the layout was really cool! We all loved it so much!! Excellent experience!

Most magical place

I can’t say enough great things about this house and the manager. It was exactly like the pictures and more. Danny helped coordinate a private chef and all our excursions and transportation. It was such an amazing time and we felt taken care of our whole visit.

Outstanding!

This place is spacious, with shops and restaurants just a 2 minute walk, while still being secluded and private. The hot tub was definitely a plus. Lots of wildlife visits, and we found a sloth with a baby in the trees by the river, just a short walk away.If we weren’t sleeping, our entire group would be hanging out on the SPACIOUS patio, playing pool and ping pong, having drinks and snacks. Our host Danny, was responsive to any needs we had, but we didn’t need much. Completely satisfied!

Magical stay in Manuel Antonio!

Our group of 11 absolutely loved our stay at Villa Tortuga. The host, Jackie, was very communicative and checking in was a breeze. Everything inside and out was beautiful and clean. It truly felt like a luxury resort! Plenty of space for everyone to gather together for dinner or playing games, and a unique multi-level layout to give privacy as well. The property is well-equipped with A/C, an amazing chef's kitchen, and tons of towels.The location is spectacular with a stunning view of the ocean, and close to shops and restaurants. There was wildlife everywhere -- little anoles flitting about the property at night, sounds of monkeys calling to each other, and toucans flying right in front of the huge picture window! The kids had a blast playing in the pool and the adults loved getting massages and hanging out on the huge covered outdoor patio. Of course, all the other reviews are right -- the highlight of our stay was Chef Ricardo and his wife Alba making us amazing meals every day, even on Christmas! Our group is all vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate effortlessly. Every meal (breakfast and dinner) was delicious and unique, and they made a special Anniversary dinner one night as well. Not needing to cook (or clean!) kept us in vacation-mode our whole stay. They were wonderful company, and even allowed our 5 kids to "help" them make dinner one night, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.If we are fortunate to return to Costa Rica, we would 100% stay here again!

Beautiful, peaceful property close to everything

We loved our stay in this home. Pictures don’t do it justice. It was clean, peaceful, well-appointed. There’s a little river out behind the property that gets a lot of sloths in the summer. We had rain every day during our stay, so we didn’t get to hear any monkeys. We did see a few toucans and macaws flying by.We hired the chef to make us breakfast daily. We also used their tour office to help with transportation and activities. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Then again, that’s everyone in Costa Rica!

Great House!

The location of this house is perfect - it's only a 15-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. We had tons of privacy for 8 adults and 3 children to celebrate the holidays and a retirement. The hot tub and pool were great after a day out and about, plus the grounds are lovely! Danny kept in touch with us throughout our entire week stay to make sure we had everything we needed, plus more! We were also put in touch with tour organizers and a private chef for wonderful meals. The restaurants in town are so delicious and Pollo Chachagua will deliver plated food right to your front door! The bakery, sodas and shops in the small town were all wonderful. :) Just a few things to note: The two downstairs rooms are accessible that way only - each has an en suite bath and one of them opens up to the pool area. The other room/bathroom has a few "screens" only so they hear all the noise. Better lighting, a nightstand here and there, some lamps and storage for the downstairs baths would be great. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time at the Green Forest Villa!

Great Stay in the La Fortuna Area

This was a big house with more than enough space for the six adults in our group. We especially loved the pool and hot tub, and we could see hummingbirds from the back porch in the morning. Table tennis was a hit with some people in our group as well, and the food at the restaurant on the property was good. The listing description is generally accurate, and we'd happily stay here again. But the house could use a little TLC (minor repairs) in places, and some brighter lighting, and the kitchen isn't especially well equipped (but we're a family that likes to cook in).

Family Vacation in the Jungle

We were looking to stay in the La Fortuna area and stayed at the property from 5/24 - 5/27 with a family of six because of it's unique location and layout. It was a perfect spot to hang out between excursions to the Arenal Waterfall and surrounding natural spots. The property is expansive and has wonderful meticulate landscaping. Lots of birds and wildlife all around. There is even a creek that runs through the property with trails for evening or morning walks. You truly feel like you're in the jungle. We spent most of our time in the upper pool, which was the perfect temperature for soaking through the jungle heat. Can't say enough about the pool! Each room has air conditioning, which provides relief from the sometimes intense heat and humidity outside. Be sure to watch the video Danny provided to access the property, as it's tucked behind a restaurant and a little tricky to find. The roads are a little scary to navigate and the place comes up on you fast. Also, we ate at the restaurant next door one evening and the food was excellent and much cheaper than tourist locations in La Fortuna. In retrospect, we should have eaten there each night. It's a great spot for a family, with the pool table and ping pong table on the patio. It's off the beaten path a little, but that was exactly what we were looking for. *Note: If you are coming from Liberia at night, consider driving the route that does not go around Lake Arenal as the road is narrow, and very windy.

Excellent Home and Stay

This is an outstanding place to stay. Everything was very clean, and the place is as advertised. There are 2 rooms on the bottom floor (with their own bathrooms). This area was great to give our teens some of their "own" space. We had 2 families with us, and there was plenty of space / beds for everyone. The pools were terrific (there is a newer infinity pool, kid pool and hot tub) - all were great to have right there at the house. Then there is a larger, shared pool that is down below (a little walk away). Danny was very responsive to any of our questions. We utilized Antioneta to help us book some of the excursions. She was TERRIFIC and is very connected. She was able to set up some outstanding excursions. Everyone was very happy with all of them (hikes, hanging bridges, hot springs, zip lining, white water rafting, canyoning). Also, the restaurant right next door was very good (some of the best chicken we have had), and they would bring our orders right to the house. We also had a private chef come in and prepare a meal one evening (Antonieta set that up). I would highly recommend this property. Thank you, Danny and Antonieta!!

Great place

We stayed with our family friends. It is a nice place to hang out with big group. The description of the property can be updated to state there are bedrooms downstairs. We booked this property thinking it was all in one flloor. It was not an issue but could have been nice. The communication with property manager throughout our stay was good. He send a video walked of the property and details which was helpful. The bathroom flooded during our stay on the last night which they could not handled differently but other than that it was good.

Great place

We loved staying at Danny's place. The beds were nice. Showers were hot and the hot tub was super nice to come home to each evening. Danny was super responsive when we needed something. Location is good away from the hustle and bustle of la fortuna but it is 15 drive to town just like the listing says.

Great house for family time

The property owner was helpful and communicative. Our kids absolutely loved the hot tub and pools. We also appreciated having air conditioning and hot water for showers. It was about 15 minutes from the downtown la Fortuna area. It was only a couple minutes walk to a nearby grocery store and bakery. There’s a restaurant right next door too.

family vacation

beyond what we expected. usually, people pick best points only in listings, his house and property had it all. the place is tropical and pretty. house was bigger than expected. Host was very friendly, and one night power outage happened the host responded immediately and help notify crews to get us up and running. would recommend this place highly.

Unique Property!

Fun place to stay out of the hustle of Fortuna. Hot tub and dipping pool- all outdoor space was magnificent. Watch the toucans fly from tree to tree and the geckos cavort at night!

Absolutely Perfect

I considered not booking this place because we ended up only being 8 and it accommodated way more but I kept it and I am so glad I did! It was clean and the perfect place to hang at the end of a day of touring or early in the morning before you start your day. The kids enjoyed the river and finding frogs and critters. The pools and Hot tub were enjoyed by kids and adults alike! Restaurants within walking distance as well as a market and pizzeria. Location was great. Just a short 15 minute drive to La Fortuna where many of the tours start and works with a local vacation planner to help with the endless things to do there. Fabulous vacation can not wait to go back!!

Beautiful Property
