Great weekend!

Vaiden Inn is a very comfortable place to stay. The property is beautiful and the hosts are very communicative and gracious. Coming in the fall afforded us some beautiful foliage on our way to Williamsburg. Although the kitchenette is small, it was well appointed. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds were so comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Awesome Family Location!!!

We have 12 in our family that stayed at the Vaiden Inn for our annual "Cousin Camp", 7 adults and 5 kids. The location couldn't be more perfect. Wonderful house, grounds and hosts.Jess and Bonnie made the stay perfect.

Peaceful and perfect!

Beautiful historic home with well tended gardens, large lawn, and peaceful woodland in the back. The hosts were welcoming and extremely helpful. We also were impressed by the little “extras” thoughtfully provided. The house is perfect for a family, with room to spread out. My husband’s parents stayed in the king room on the first floor connected to a sitting area and the full kitchen. They appreciated the space and were the early risers of the group, so enjoyed coffee on the patio while others woke up. It was possible to close off their room and there was a full kitchenette attached to another cozy downstairs living room which also had a bathroom…so the older kids could stay up and enjoy themselves longer. We also enjoy a fire one night in the large outdoor fire pit. Overall we highly recommend!

History and Comfort

The whole area around New Kent is full of history, but not all can boast of housing Martha Washington and hosting George as he courted her! It was a treat to be able to stay here. Marty’s Kitchen, across the street, offered tasty local dishes very reasonable priced. The only challenge we had was the location of the bathrooms. A couple of guests had to go through the room of another to get to the bathroom or go downstairs. Coffee availability was plentiful in the form of Keurigs in both floors. There were also carafes for brewing coffee and an ample supply of cream, sugar and substitutes along with a variety of teas. These were wonderful to have on hand so that we didn’t need a trip to the grocery store for those basics. The hosts met us promptly in person at checkin time and were more than gracious. It was a grand time for 5 long-term (never say “old!”) friends!

Wonderful Property!

Six adults, three children and two dogs thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Bed & Breakfast over the holidays! With plenty of space for everyone, and the most comfortable beds, Vaiden Inn couldn't have been more perfect. Close to Williamsburg, on 8 beautiful acres made for a great vacation.

Perfection!

Coming from a family, who owned a Victorian B&B for 2 decades, we know what going the extra mile and thinking of every little detail looks like. We have stayed in a lot of places, but have never felt more at home or more spoiled by every little “extra” amenity. From the first correspondence (Jess is amazing) to our departing conversation with Bonnie, the whole experience was amazing. We were there with three generations and we all loved it and cannot wait to go back. Thank you so, so much.

We loved this historic Inn!

Our extended family stayed with us for a wedding at the nearby Jasmine Plantation & are extremely happy we stayed at this historic & very charming Vaiden Inn which met or exceeded every expectation we had! For instance, there are multiple coffee stations, ice makers (which came in handy), very comfortable beds, a piano, claw tub, back porch, beautiful grounds (we even found a hammock!), fire pit, and so much more. If we could give our stay more than 5 stars, we absolutely would! Plus, the Inn's manager was exceptionally helpful in every possible way which was the icing on the cake. We will find a reason to stay here again!!

Bachelorette Party

This is the perfect property for a big group. We had a group of 6 people and everyone got their own bed. The inn was one of the highlights of our trip. The property is extremely well kept and gorgeously decorated. We appreciated the coffee stations, kitchens, and the multiple showers available to the group. The host was kind and communicative. When informed we were coming to Howl-O-Scream, she went above and beyond to put out Halloween decorations for us. Everyone really enjoyed themselves!

What a beautiful property!

What a great place to stay! The rooms are beautiful and there is so much space for everyone! The set-up of the inn is a little weird but that is because it is an old house that has been renovated. So when you rent the whole house you walk through some bedrooms to get to other rooms, but no big deal when you are with your friends and family. The weather wasn't great so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors but we did do a fire one night and the kids got to explore the property. The set-up upstairs didn't match what the pictures look like, but the rooms are big and beautiful and plenty of room for everyone. Bathrooms are great! So happy we rented the whole house! Great Family Vacation

The inn was beautiful. Plenty of room for our family of 12. It was a great homebase, within 30 minutes of the places we wanted to visit. Lots of historic spots throughout the area. It rained a good bit while we were there, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor spaces as much as we would have liked, but there are hammocks and several sitting areas. We absolutely loved the home. Any communication with Jess was answered very promptly.

Wonderful Inn

Jess and her property were both fantastic! The inn is awesome and was so full of history and just neat everything. Very close to Williamsburg and the historic triangle. Restaurant directly across the street. Tons of parking room. Would definitely recommend this inn!

Family Christmas Vacation

What a WONDERFUL experience my whole family had in the beautiful Vaiden Inn. From our 2 eight year old grandkids, 14 year old grandson, and all the adults, we were all so comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy and do their own thing. Tons of games for the kids and adults to play. The grounds are spectacular and we all had so much fun around the fire pit at night roasting hotdogs and making s’mores. Thank you so much to Jess and her family for helping us make this year a Christmas full of memories we will never forget. A.F.

Warm and Welcoming Inn

Vaiden Inn was the perfect spot for my family to stay for a local wedding. The bedrooms are spacious and gorgeous. There were so many nice and thoughtful touches for guests. Two fully equipped coffee bars, televisions and little fridges in each bedroom, two areas for gather and relax together indoors, to name just a few. Our hosts were responsive to any questions we had during our stay and even checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We didn't have time to enjoy all of the amazing amenities outdoors, so are planning another trip in the near future to enjoy those as well. Thanks for everything, Jess! You have a lovely place.

Wonderful historical home!

Jess' love of this house is obvious-well maintained and super clean. Lots of convenient extras like paper towels and to go cups as well as a good variety of coffee and tea k-cups to choose from. We walked the property with our dog, Teddy, which was enjoyable. Although it is easy to get to places like Williamsburg and restaurants/stores from the house, there isn't a whole lot going on in the immediate area. This could be great or not so great depending on people's preferences. We read through the owner's binder with lots of very useful information plus history of the house which we really appreciated. We truly enjoyed our short stay. Thanks, Jess Angel! =)

Relaxing vacation

Excellent home for family! Spacious. Comfortable. Jess was an amazing hostess. She has considered every detail that took care of all our needs. The kitchenette was well stocked. She called local restaurants to find us places that were open on Christmas Day. The grounds are spacious; our dogs loved the woods. Williamsburg only 30 minutes away. Very relaxing holiday.

Vaiden stay

Felt very comfortable, didn't realize others were living in the other section of the house. When we arrived there were no other cars then a woman appeared out back, it was weird and we were alarmed. Then later we learned they stayed there. Missed being able to cook, the hot plate did not work, had to eat out alot but we made due. A 30 minute drive to the Williamsburg, not to bad, local places are still struggling from Covid for employees, so their hours were limited. We had a nice relaxing vacation.
