Read the Fine Print!!

The room was really nice and we have stayed at the Compass Cove resort before and really like it and the location. The main issue with this booking was that the fine print in the listing says that you are not allowed to use a lot of amenities at the resort. My daughters were heartbroken that the resort staff would not allow them to use the water slides. My wife was very unhappy that she was not allowed to buy coffee from the on site coffee shop that serves Starbucks. That is on me for not reading the fine print. I would not have booked the room if I had. Don’t make my mistake. What is not on me, is that the main listing showed an available amenity as laundry and sited a coin operated laundry room in the building. Then in the fine print it says that we were not allowed to use the laundry on site. Since complaining about this to the host they changed the listing to “nearby laundromat”. We are a family of 5 and were only given 7 towels for the entire week. I was forced to lose a half a day of my vacation to go find a laundromat and wash towels for hours. This was false advertising and is the reason for my negative review. When I brought this up to the property management company they only offered me a late check out (2 hours later). I have no use for late checkout because I have a long drive home and needed to leave early. I would not have booked this room if I had known that I would be required to go find a laundromat and wash their towels.

Excellent place!

We couldn't have picked a better location.we absolutely loved this condo. Everything was clean, easy instructions to follow .My only gripe was the parking. But that's more on the end of compass cove resort. We always found ourselves parking across the street..But overall, this was an amazing place! Views were beautiful and we had plenty of space.. apartment came with beach chairs, umbrella, pack n play, beach toys, books and crafts for kids. The people really took the time to accommodate for all your needs..we will definitely coming back.

Beautiful views condo is very updated. Would definitely stay there again.The rental agency was amazing no problems checking in or out. Stayed in contact with us while we were there.

Great Geataway!

This condo was a great little get away! The view of the beach from the balcony was perfect. The condo looked exactly like the photos and was clean when we arrived. To my surprise it was very kid friendly furnished with books, coloring books, and toys for kids. They also provided beach chairs, umbrella and pack and play for use in the closet. The Master bed was very comfortable with a Murphy bed and sofa sleeper available for the kids to sleep on. The decor was adorable and fun! The main property however was not the cleanest (hallways & elevators), there are a lot of pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers, and two water slides to keep the kids busy. Overall our stay was very fun and enjoyable. I would definitely rent this unit again!

Nice unit in a mediocre property

Positives: The unit was very clean and nicely updated. The ocean view was nice. The AC worked well and with the doors and windows closed it was relatively quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and utensils and seasonings. There were some nice beach chairs in the closet. The property management team was very responsive when I had a minor issue and the instructions they provided were thorough. The property is on the beach so access was easy and there are outside showers. Negatives: There were a couple of issues with the property in general and not the unit but I feel are necessary to bring up to potential guests. We did visit on a weekend during the busy season but parking in the main lot was full when we arrived and all of the temporary unloading spots were also full so we had to park across the street in the overflow parking and drag our suitcases across the street. Whenever we left in our car and returned we would check parking in the main lot and it was always full so we had to park across the street again. We noticed several cars doing the same. The elevators were really slow and there were a lot of guests at the property so there was always a wait of 3-8 minutes. We also got stuck in one of the elevators for a few minutes going up to our room. The other properties around seemed dated as well so this could be typical of the area. I didn't receive the check in instructions at check in time so I had to ask but they were sent quickly after I asked.

The facility itself and the unit was dirty. We did go without water for a few hours which was a big inconvenience and no credit or anything was offered. While I understand it was out of control, the facility, offered credits. The facility does not have enough elevators. There were a few things both maintenance and housekeeping did not fix/do. There is a pack’n play, umbrella, and a few chairs which is nice but without that info in the listing we still packed. The pools can be accessed in all buildings which was also nicer the location overall was nice but in a busier area. Great access to beach. Unit is nicely decorated and some kids activities were available which was also nice.
