Nestled in the picturesque Coconut grove, this classic Florida Cottage adorned with a 100 year old Oak tree and lush greenery, makes it as beautiful and charming on the outside as it is on the inside. The kitchen is spacious and inviting to prepare all kinds of meals. For dinner, enjoy the separate and grand dining space. We love the living room’s focal point – views of the pool – ideal for game nights or evenings spent with a bottle of wine.

★ LOCATION:
The "Grove" packs in a whole lot of charm, history and culture into a relatively little area along Biscayne Bay. Mixed in with the bohemian bungalows, independent book shops and locally owned cafes. CocoWalk and the heart of Coconut Grove are less than a 3-minute drive or a 15-minute walk.

Lush greenery surrounding the back patio featuring a large pool, seating and dining areas. Please note the pool is not heated but open year round and warm from the Southern Florida tropical climate.

Washer and dryer in the garage.

★ PARKING:
Ample driveway space for up to 4 vehicles. There is a large driveway and a 1 car garage.

★ PACKAGE HANDLING POLICY:
Package delivery to the door; guests are responsible for package retrieval and lost packages.

★ PROVISIONS:
Includes WiFi, Pack and Play, Smart TVs, ironing set, laundry facilities, and starter toiletries. Note: Washcloths and kitchen towels not included.

★ GUEST SCREENING:
A check-in procedure for security will be conducted.

★ SAFETY:
We adhere to CDC cleaning and sanitation protocols, ensuring thorough disinfection. Surveillance cameras monitor the property's exterior for added security. Please note that the property has a groundskeeper that may access the pool for service, landscaping and other upkeep needs for exterior grounds.

★ EXTRAS:
We offer concierge services to our guests. Wishing to rent a boat, engage a chef, or book a massage? Our concierge can arrange these and more upon your request.

★ OBSERVATIONS:
Strict no-smoking policy and low noise levels post 10 PM. Parties and large gatherings are prohibited.

The Neighborhood:
Hugging the shoreline of Biscayne Bay, Coconut Grove is an upscale, leafy neighborhood with relaxed sidewalk cafes and chic shops in and around the CocoWalk mall. The area's several green spaces include bay-front Barnacle Historic State Park, home to a mangrove forest, and the iconic Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, centered on a lavish Italian-style villa.

Getting Around:
We recommend renting a car or taking uber.

Host was unable to follow through with having the pool clean for our use. The code did not work two nights in a row, requiring an after hours call to let me in the property. Two of the 3 toilets were not situated for very large people's use. The management service provided nothing but lip service. The after hours crew are the best thing going for this property.

Terrible Do Not Rent

First let me say I am a born and raised Floridian so I am used to FL bugs but I also know how they should be treated. Below are the list of issues with the house:Mold in the house-you smell it as you walk in the house and days later still trying to get the smell out of my clothesDead and live spiders on the ground and bedsRoach legs everywhere Black stuff on the ground and wall of the pool house (appeared to be bugs or feces of bugs)Pool dirty and needs to be redoneLight outside does not work in the backyard Light in spare bedroom for ceiling does not work Couch and chairs have multiple stains and had not been cleaned (food particles still on chairs)Master bathroom tub and floor had someone else hair in there not cleanedToilet seat in spare bathroom needs to be replaced pool house and bathroom was not cleanAnts in the kitchen (sink area and counter tops)The pool house bathroom was absolutely filthy and dirt all of the floor Tub in master bath needs to be replaced-it’s so old that you continue to slip on it while taking a showerLive worms everywhere We had to sweep areas ourselves when we first got there. I have pics/videos of everything. I notified the host of the following issues immediately: bugs in the house, broken light, stains on chairs/couch, and hair in the master bathroom. Nothing was done and then host/rental company said I did not tell them even though I have all documentation of communication.VRBO was zero help even with all documentation

Not the stay we were expecting

I'm writing this review to share an honest experience about our recent stay. While the property appeared lovely in the photos, the reality was disappointing. The pool was a major issue—it was dirty upon arrival and, despite the property managers' attempts to fix it during our stay, it was never cleaned to the point where we could use it. This was a big letdown, as the pool was a primary reason for booking this VRBO.On the positive side, I do want to acknowledge that the property managers were responsive and did try to address the pool situation. We appreciated their effort and received a partial refund due to the inconvenience, which was fair.However, beyond the pool, we noticed several essential items missing from the house that would be needed for a comfortable stay. I hope the owners will take these points into consideration for future bookings to ensure a better experience for everyone.

House didn't live up to description

Overall we were disappointed with our stay at this listing especially for the price. This house was in a great area if you're looking to stay in lush Coconut Grove/Coral Gables area within a short drive to Main Hwy shops and restaurants and Shops at Merrick Park. The house was nicely staged and was spacious but it was clearly old and was in disrepair. Although the beds were clean and nicely made, the bathrooms were very dated and clearly had not been cleaned prior to our arrival with hairs in the bathtub, garbage still in the trash cans and dead flies in the sink. The backyard also had not been cleaned - the patio and the pool full of leaves. The backyard was also quite old with a falling apart fence, floaties strewn around everywhere. The pool is not heated so if you travel earlier in the year it will be cold. There was also a cockroach problem - the first day we saw several live ones and woke up to 4 dead cockroaches as the hosts said they had just treated the property and the treatment was "clearly working". The hosts denied my request to cancel my reservation and be reimbursed for the subsequent days but they were responsive to me and sent pool cleaners the day after we arrived and cleaned the bathrooms and sent pest control the day after that.The initial impression left a bad taste in my mouth for this family vacation I had booked for my husband and I, our two kids and my mom. The remedies the hosts provided made it livable but I would not rebook.
