The upper level of the cottage features a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people, a 4 and 3-piece bathrooms. The entire level is well-appointed and cozy, with comfortable bedding and plenty of natural light in the living/kitchen/dining areas.
The lower walkout level of the cottage has an additional bedroom, a full bathroom, a laundry room, and a spacious family room. The family room is perfect for indoor entertainment, with a ping pong table, board games, giant Jenga, and a propane fireplace for warmth and comfort.
Outside, the cottage has a deck area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding natural beauty. There is a screened area, with kids foosball table, for enjoying rainy days or keeping out the mosquitoes if they are bothersome. The cottage's location near McKellar, Ontario, offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, or boating. Parry Sound is just 15 minutes away and offers plenty to do - shops, the harbour, public beaches plus all the amenites you'd expect in a small urban area. You may want to explore the scenic ruggedness of the Georgian Bay coast or venture up to French River, or even Science North up in Sudbury.
You'll also want to plan some time at the outdoor market in McKellar, held every Saturday at Minerva Park on the Lake Manitouwabing shore. Since Saturday is changeover day, maybe linger in the area just a little longer while enjoying some of the many local vendors at the market.
While this cottage is not waterfront , it's situated amidst natural beauty directly across the road from lake Manitouwabing, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities nearby. There is a small trailer provided to tow kayaks around the area but your car must have the proper hitch with a 1 7/8 coupler. Please ONLY use if you have this hitch.
Rentals include a cleaning service; however, the cottage must be left in a tidy condition
All garbage must be removed upon checkout to avoid being charged
The cottage is not waterfront, but free public access is available minutes away
Garbage and recycling removal prior to departure is required
New security cameras: The first is a camera on the shed at the entrance of the property which only sees the entrance and part of the driveway and cannot see any part of the house. The second camera is a doorbell camera on one of the doors.

Nearby Trails. There are lots of hiking trails nearby, including Spring Hill Road - Colonial Trail - West Road (East), McKellar Market - Spring Hill Road (via 124 HWY), Spring Hill Road - Colonia Trail - West Road (West), and McKellar-Ferguson Boundary Road - Spring Hill Road, Balsam Trail (3 mins drive), Bunny Trail Falls (20 mins drive), and Hurdville Spillway (14 mins drive), which has small waterfalls, but no trail (within 5 mins).
Public Beaches. There are several public beaches within 20 minutes of the cottage: McKellar Public Beach (less than 5 mins), McKellar Township Beach & Playground (20 mins), and Maplewood Beach and Playground (20 mins).
Golfing. Within 20 minutes you'll find 3 golf courses - The Ridge at Manitou (10 mins), Granite Valley Golf and Country Club, and the Parry Sound Golf and Country Club (both 20 mins).
Winter Activities. Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activities - over 45 kilometres of ski, snowshoe, biking and hiking trails (10 mins); Snowmobiling - Minutes from District 10 trails (Manitouwabing Lake), and McKellar Township Community Centre ice skating rink (less than 5 mins).
