Welcome to our magical woods! Relax, unwind a world away but close to home.

Acres of Peace is situated in the deep woods of the northern Illinois wilderness. Quiet, enchanting, peaceful. On the edge of Bramble Creek,with tree frogs, owls and night birds lulling you to sleep.

Make memories around the campfire, Our "camp host" Tiller the big black dog will come to greet you and check on you throughout your stay.

Your well stocked campsite is nestled in your own part of the woods. Apart from the other sites with it's own path for your privacy.

Your fully stocked with campfire wood, fire starters, a lighter, trash and recycling containers,hand sanitizer and near the world's cleanest port a potty.

We have new, small tents for sale if you need one. The sites are all pack in pack out, but our tractor will cart your things to and from your site, so no heavy lifting for you! You cannot drive your vehicle to your site. However we do allow vehicle camping at the edge of the woods, no hook ups. Please contract for availability.

The purpose is PEACE and all proceeds go to benefit The Acres of Peace Center which provides equine, animal and nature therapy for free to Veterans, 1st responders and others since 2004.

We love the Zen, the harmony and the wonders of nature. People always tell us that our woods are "magical" We have hosted scout and church groups, family and corporate reunions, Girls weekends, yoga retreats, drum circles, bachelor and bachelorette gatherings, friends weekends, WEDDINGS(we recommend that you rent the entire space for this), inexpensive family vacations, and more. We are LGBTQ+ and LatinX friendly.

Close proximity to many State Parks: Starved Rock, Illini, Mattheisen, Buffalo Rock, and more. County Parks: Dayton Bluffs, Catlin, and more. County Fairs,local festivals. Or just star gazing.

Acres of Peace is located behind our working farm. You can come and meet the animals by appointment and if our schedule allows, take a riding lesson - sorry no trail rides.
