You can stock up on all your favorite foods (and plenty of vacation treats) at Publix, which is just a six-minute drive from the house. Don’t want to cook? You’re in luck! You’ll find many restaurants catering to every taste. For a meal to remember, make a reservation at The Oyster Society, or for a relaxed brunch you can’t beat, check out Doreen's Cup of Joe. If you want to grab takeout for a picnic at the beach, swing by The Brooklyn Delicatessen for some of the best deli-style sandwiches in Florida.
Speaking of the beach, Marco Island is home to some of the most idyllic stretches of powdery sand in the state. Tigertail Beach is two white-sand beaches in one — known as the inner and outer beaches. The inner beach offers easy access and plenty of amenities, making it a great choice for families who want to relax in comfort. The outer beach is accessed by wading or paddleboarding through the shallow lagoon and gives adventurous beachgoers a quieter stretch of sand to explore. For the chance to spot native Florida wildlife, spend a few hours strolling along the boardwalk at Briggs Nature Center. Keep your eyes peeled for river otters, hawks, and gators among many other interesting species.
