Om dette overnattingsstedet

MOUNTAIN JOY COTTAGE # 8 - LITTLE BEAR

Small problems make a big difference

We stayed in this same place in Oct 22, and noted some problems then. Sinks not draining properly, only a few clothes hangers, coffee maker has wrong carafe and made a mess when we tried to brew coffee. These problems still exist. Oh, and now they have a new policy of not providing paper products or cleaning supplies. We had to make a trip to buy our own. For the price, we will stay somewhere else next visit. It's too bad because the bed is super comfortable.

Great place for a famioy reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great property. Along with family members, we occupied 8 of 12-13 cabins. The grounds are lovely with a huge area for kids to play and grown-ups to act like kids and a fire ring to gather around and enjoy s'mores. During the summer months a very nice pool is available. Everyone was quite happy with their cabins.

Enjoyed

The cabin was exactly like the pictures. It is a pleasant alcove of 12 cabins surrounding a beautiful green space with a great playground for the kids , a beautiful covered pool and mountains all around. An addition was the wild Elk that wandered in to eat crab apples right off the tree. A fantastic property.

Celebrating anniversary

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the experience was great. We had a problem opening the door we called the office and someone came out ASAP and gave us an extra key and showed us how to unlock the door. The doorknob should be replaced so no one has to struggle to unlock the door. The only other thing that should be replaced is the mattress. It is horrible. A good nights sleep is very important to an enjoyable stay. There was a strong smell of smoke from the fireplace especially when you first walk in. That should be taken care of.

Cute Nice Small Cabin

My wife and I stayed in this cute, little cabin. It had everything that we needed. 1 bedroom with a King bed, 1 bath with all the necessities. We enjoyed our stay. We mostly sat around enjoying the mountains and shelling pecans. The scenery is wonderful and it is a good place for a couple to get away in!

Little Bear Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great. Cabin was clean, well supplied. Property was as described, very family oriented. Directions to cabin were great. Communication with Carolina Properties was not the best, no email to confirm stay or give directions about checkin. Got there on a Sat afternoon and no way to checkin or contact the management. Fortunately were able to peer in a window and get an emergency contact number to get our checkin info. pretty stressful beginning.

Weekend at Little Bear

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed at Little Bear for four nights. I found the cabin to be too dark, stuffy, and uncomfortable. The bed, in particular, was extremely uncomfortable. I was also surprised that, when I went to check out, the office staff were not wearing masks. I wouldn't recommend this cabin.

Beautiful place. Would recommend in spite of some issues.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful cabin in a great setting. Right off the main road so there is noise from motorcycles and cars but it stops around 8pm and doesn't start again until after 9am. So overall the road noise was not an issue. We had an issue with the cleanliness and the cleaning crew leaving something of significant value from the previous renter that they should have seen. Bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. Overall the place was pretty good and I would definitely go back. I just think the management company needs to find a new cleaning crew.
