MOUNTAIN JOY COTTAGE # 8 - LITTLE BEAR

  • Mountain Joy Cottage # 8, Little Bear, ble bygd tidlig på 1840-tallet og var Medford-residensen til Iron Duff / Crabtree-området og ble flyttet til sin nåværende beliggenhet tidlig på 1 + 50-tallet. Denne hytta har eksponert logg innvendige vegger som gir den en unik appell. Denne hytta har interessante detaljer som vi har lagt til for å minne oss om de svarte bjørnene som er vår opprinnelige til vårt område.

    Opprinnelig var Maggie Setzers hjemsted, for hvem Maggie Valley ble kalt, landet som Mountain Joy sitter, et spesielt sted. Du vil bli fortryllet med fjellets sjarm, familie atmosfære og karakter. Vi tilbyr alle moderne bekvemmeligheter du kan forvente med året rundt tilgang og tilbaketrukkethet som svært få kan tilby.

    Nyt den fredelige landsbygden av våre hytter. Vi har en, to og fire soverom hytter alle utstyrt med peis, peis, kabel-TV, internett og kjøkken er klare til å lage et hjemmelaget måltid. Utenfor verandaene har gyngestoler, slik at du kan nyte morgenkaffen din eller nyte solnedgangen på fjellet om kvelden. Vårt glass vedlagte utendørsbasseng (sesongåpent) tilbyr et herlig sted å slappe av.

    Mountain Joy Cottages ligger sentralt i hjertet av Maggie Valley, bare ett kvartal unna Setzer Cove Road, med lett tilgang til alle områdets attraksjoner. Vi er bare minutter unna Scenic Blue Ridge Parkway og Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Området er lastet med håndverk, antikke og gavebutikker. Den store naturen tilbyr ridning, golf på området fjellbaner, ørretfiske i bekker, rafting og naturskjønne stasjoner. Snø ski og slanger er tilgjengelig for hele familien på Cataloochee Ski Area. Nattelivet inkluderer alt fra jazz til bluegrass, tett eller middagunderholdning. Våre hytter ligger bare en kort kjøretur til Great Smoky Mountain Railway, AshEville og The Biltmore Estate, Cherokee og Indian Reservation og Harrahs Casino og historiske sentrum Waynesville.

    Uansett årstid, har Mountain Joy Cottages og Great Smokies noe spesielt å tilby. Fra vildblomstene til våren, til brannfargen i høst eller vinterens ro, besøk og gjør varige minner på Mountain Joy Cottages.

Amazing Stay!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay in Maggie Valley!! 100% recommend this cabin! The Elk came through every day for a visit and the cabin was cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.

Small problems make a big difference

We stayed in this same place in Oct 22, and noted some problems then. Sinks not draining properly, only a few clothes hangers, coffee maker has wrong carafe and made a mess when we tried to brew coffee. These problems still exist. Oh, and now they have a new policy of not providing paper products or cleaning supplies. We had to make a trip to buy our own. For the price, we will stay somewhere else next visit. It's too bad because the bed is super comfortable.

Great place for a famioy reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great property. Along with family members, we occupied 8 of 12-13 cabins. The grounds are lovely with a huge area for kids to play and grown-ups to act like kids and a fire ring to gather around and enjoy s'mores. During the summer months a very nice pool is available. Everyone was quite happy with their cabins.

We had some trouble with the WIFI but it was corrected immediately. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen nicely equipped and we even had a visit from an elk one evening.

Enjoyed

The cabin was exactly like the pictures. It is a pleasant alcove of 12 cabins surrounding a beautiful green space with a great playground for the kids , a beautiful covered pool and mountains all around. An addition was the wild Elk that wandered in to eat crab apples right off the tree. A fantastic property.

We had a problem opening the door we called the office and someone came out ASAP and gave us an extra key and showed us how to unlock the door. The doorknob should be replaced so no one has to struggle to unlock the door. The only other thing that should be replaced is the mattress. It is horrible. A good nights sleep is very important to an enjoyable stay.There was a strong smell of smoke from the fireplace especially when you first walk in. That should be taken care of.

Cute Nice Small Cabin

My wife and I stayed in this cute, little cabin. It had everything that we needed. 1 bedroom with a King bed, 1 bath with all the necessities. We enjoyed our stay. We mostly sat around enjoying the mountains and shelling pecans. The scenery is wonderful and it is a good place for a couple to get away in!

I found the cabin to be too dark, stuffy, and uncomfortable. The bed, in particular, was extremely uncomfortable. I was also surprised that, when I went to check out, the office staff were not wearing masks. I wouldn't recommend this cabin.

Right off the main road so there is noise from motorcycles and cars but it stops around 8pm and doesn't start again until after 9am. So overall the road noise was not an issue. We had an issue with the cleanliness and the cleaning crew leaving something of significant value from the previous renter that they should have seen. Bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. Overall the place was pretty good and I would definitely go back. I just think the management company needs to find a new cleaning crew.

Nice peaceful place

Overall nice only had 3 rags and towels for a 2 night stay also no hand soap and only a half roll of tp other than that we haf a very nice stay it's a simple cabin but all we needed we would recommend to stay again.
