Stunning Lakefront Escape:Open Water Views, Boathouse, Outdoor Kitchen & Firepit

Lake vacations are meant to be enjoyed outside and this yard is a great reason why! With a HUGE boat house, it is the perfect area for lounging, grilling, and experiencing a beautiful view of the lake.
The enormous backyard boasts 125 feet of beautiful lakefront that has a rare sandy bottom that is ideal for wading, swimming, and water volleyball. You’ll love the large grassy lawn too. In the evenings, relax around the fire pit that is ideal for roasting marshmallows.
If that wasn’t enough, the boat house is great for fishing on the lake or watching sports on the two TV's outside. Though the watercraft that is there is not available for use, you can use our anchors for jet skis or tie your boat up as well!!

We have recently added an outdoor kitchen with grill, mine fridge and plenty of space to serve and eat. We have also added a docspider system on the parameter of the boat house and doc. No more fighting spider webs every morning. It is safe for kids and dogs (we have both too!).
We have plenty of toys for you to use as well! 2 kayaks, lawns games and more!
The vacation home is fully furnished and has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and can easily accommodate up to 9 guests (6 adults, 3 children) comfortably. The kitchen, dining room and living room are a comfortable place to relax after a day on the lake and the living room boasts a picturesque view of the dock and the lakefront.
An easy hour’s drive from downtown Dallas and just south of Gun Barrel City, the house is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants. Canton’s First Monday Trade Days (held on the weekend prior to the first Monday of every month) is only a 30-minute drive and filled with fantastic flea market finds. Plenty to do nearby and a lake view that never gets old…Come experience paradise at Cedar Creek Lake. You'll never want to go home.

Panoramic view of the lake

The lake and view were awesome. The house was not clean. Very dusty and floors were not clean. The kitchen sink and fridge smelled like fish, strong. Firepit had trash and an old chair in it. Boat house where there was furniture was dirty. The water trampoline was very low on air and I let Stacy know and she did not respond. Would not rent again. For the money they charge there are many more better options.

The property has many extras…2 kayaks that my grandkids loved, plenty of board games, plenty of yard activities but it was too hot for us older ones. The deck was amazing and perfect for relaxing. My husband always goes prepared and took two large fans to keep us cool. We had seen an earlier post that indicated that there were lots of spiders but we saw no spiders and figured the webs are good to catch flies/mosquitoes. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, plates and cups.

Nice quiet cove

Nice area and nice house. We had a really good time catching fish off the dock. There is a huge covered area and dock to fish and gather around. The only Con we have is the dock and covered area were not clean. We spent about two hours cleaning up all the spider webs. However the host was great and easy to communicate with. House and everything else was very nice and comfortable. We caught a good amount of fish every night.

Perfect Family Getaway

Had a wonderful family time right on the water. Beautiful views with coffee on the dock. We fished, swam, kayaked and played games. The view from inside the house was amazing. I would come back again. The deck was perfect for more family fun. We watched TV, played darts and fished. Caught lots of catfish. Fed carp and turtles. No end to the fun. Wish we were still there. Stacey was an amazing host. Very quick to reply to any questions had.

Beautiful property

We really enjoy our stay. You have everything to have fun. The level of the lake was pretty low, but other than that everything was great. Stacey was very helpful and responded to all our request very quick. I definitely recommend the property.

Great access to water

We enjoyed our time at the house. The access to the water is great and the deck was super need, although we do wish it had been cleaned before we arrived. The kids really enjoyed the kayaks and the lily pad, huge win for us. Contacting the owner was seamless and she responded quickly.

Weekend Family Getaway

We had a great time at the property! The lake level was low so we couldn't enjoy all the water sports we would have liked. We did some golfing and kayaking on Saturday and Sunday. The large deck with two TVs sitting areas and grill was wonderful for evening meals and time together. Coffee on the back deck was so quiet and peaceful. If we decided to come back to Cedar Creek in the future, we will be looking at renting this property again. Thank you, Stacey, for your quick response to all of our questions!

Relaxing weekend getaway

Enjoyed our stay very much! The deck is a perfect hangout to grill, watch tv, fish, and relax. Property was very clean and cozy. We also appreciated the secure fenced in yard for our pups!

Great yard, boat house, & host

If you're looking for a great outdoor hangout - this is it! We really enjoyed the yard + fire pit, as well as the dock/boat house. When the weather is right, the yard plus all the extras make this a really nice family getaway. The house itself is nice with a few quirks... The upstairs area is newer and nice, but the access is not good. The tiny winding staircase inside is cumbersome at best, there are also stairs outside but that isn't always ideal either. The hanging bed (upstairs) is cool in concept but doesn't make the best nights sleep for 2 people. Downstairs the "king" size bed in the master is actually 2 twin beds that make it king size... it was decently comfortable but if you sleep in the middle of the bed you'll be right on top of the "seam". The downstairs bathroom is also very small... the shower is slightly bigger than one you might find in a travel trailer. That being said, we had a good time and there were no deal breakers so while not a 5 star in our opinion, is was definitely nice enough that we would go back. Last but not least, Stacey (the host) was fantastic! She was very accommodating and communication was really good.

Great place and fantastic host

Looking for the perfect spot to stay with the family is not always fun. Specially when you are attempting to make everyone happy. Y timer found this spot. The location was perfect and the host went above and beyond snd for that I would highly recommend you stay here! The home was perfect and very comfortable. I will stay here again without any doubts. Again, the host made it all very welcoming and pleasure to deal with at any given time.

Beautiful Property

We had an incredible time at Stacie’s place! The outdoor space is incredible and blew us away! We spent a great deal of stay catching catfish and taking advantage of the outdoor grill! One thing to note for future travelers is that one bathroom and master bedroom is on the second story and only accessible through a narrow staircase. We had some older people in our party that had wanted to stay upstairs and weren’t comfortable with the stairs. We rearranged a few sleeping plans and it all worked out!

I review with hesitation!

This property and its location was simply amazing. I hate to even do a review because I want it available for the inevitable repeated returns! It is surely a hidden gem and escape oasis that is sure to bring peace and relaxation to all who have the opportunity to visit. The dock living area as I like to call it was my home for all the hours we were there with exception to sleep time. With the TV, grill and games all under a cozy cover, it satisfied everyones needs and wants. Stacey COULDN NOT been more accommodating. She basically made all my dreams come true for this birthday weekend. Thanks SO much Stacey.... it was the best experience I have had on VBRO or any of the rental sites.

Great Place!

Had a fun filled extended weekend here with family and didn’t have to leave the place. Theirs home has everything you could wish for and kept us (all ages) entertained. The games, the fishing, the spacious lawn, the big boathouse, and panoramic views kept us thoroughly happy from check in to check out. Night crawlers at sunset right from their dock instantly caught us multiple catfish. The owners were so accommodating and available for any needs/questions. We’ll be back for sure and I would highly recommend their home for your next lakefront stay.

Perfect lake house getaway

This was a perfect lake house getaway for us and friends. It was a quiet cove and we loved that we could bring our dogs. They loved swimming in the shallow area and we loved the fenced in yard when we wanted to keep them away from the water. The house comes with kayaks, corn hole, fire pit and a dart board in the shaded boat house / entertaining area. We took advantage of all of it and we pretty much hung out on the dock all weekend. We also brought our boat —the launch was just two doors down and we tied up to the owner’s dock and left the boat overnight. This was a huge bonus for us! We look forward to coming back.
