The gentle waters of the lake, the green mountains surrounding it, the calm of dawn in an ancient village: this dream will come true during your vacation in THE LAKE HOUSE!



This original apartment, inside a small building located in the heart of Gandria, has the style of old lake houses. 

On the left, opening the first door you will find yourself in the lovely kitchen, fully equipped and with a dining table for eating with friends.

Going down the ladder (there is no door, but a curtain), there is the bathroom, with a cute little bathtub on the right, and the toilet on the left. Continuing, there is the bright bedroom, with a French double bed.

Crossing the staircase of the building on the same landing, you open the door and are greeted by the spacious and bright living room, furnished with a comfortable sofa, which becomes a double bed for the night (Please note: The sofa bed will not be prepared as a bed for your arrival, as we deem it proper to use it as a sofa during the day. You will find the bed linen, pillows and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa.), and a comfortable armchair, to watch a movie or relax reading a book in full relaxation. From here you can access the balcony, overlooking the wonderful panorama of Lake Lugano: enjoy this beautiful view while sipping a coffee in the morning, or having an aperitif at sunset!

Going down the stairs of the building, there is the patio with a stone table for outdoor dining, and a direct access to the lake.



ATTENTION: the fireplace is only decorative and CANNOT BE USED!



Please note: The living room and the rest of the house are separated through the internal staircase of the building, accessible to the other inhabitants of the condominium! Your privacy is ensured within the premises.



Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. 

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

Smoking is strictly prohibited. 

Any commercial activity within the apartment is prohibited.



The apartment does not have a private parking space. Guests can park in the public parking lots within a 5-minute walk from the apartment (N.B. The village has many stairs and climbs to walk up!).

What\'s nearby:

Gandria is a picturesque and well-preserved village, among the most beautiful lakeside villages in Ticino, whose houses set on the mountainside, on the slopes of Mount Brè, are reflected in the waters of the Ceresio. The narrow buildings are reached via stairways and alleys. Some houses date back to the 16th and 17th centuries and are embellished with frescoes and stucco decorations. The village is easily reachable by boat from Lugano, by car and by bus via the scenic road, Strada di Gandria.

Next to the apartment there is the Roccabella Restaurant, which offers menus of local dishes and also provides breakfast service upon request.

Among the most celebrated points of interest is the famous Sentiero di Gandria, an extraordinarily beautiful path that follows the lake among green Mediterranean vegetation, olive trees, typical lakeside houses, and the lake within walking distance. 

Cantine di Gandria and Caprino are also easily reachable by boat, on the other side of the lake, where you can walk along a path through the greenery and taste Ticino delicacies in the typical grotti restaurants.

By car you can reach Lido di Lugano and Parco Ciani in just 10 minutes, the center of Lugano in max 15 minutes. There is a nice little Lido also in Gandria, at the beginning of the path on the Castagnola side, the Lido San Domenico.

Italy is also just a stone\'s throw away: the Gandria customs is 2 minutes away, and by crossing it you reach the beautiful Italian shore of Lake Lugano, with the small villages of Valsolda, such as Oria (famous for the Villa Fogazzaro Roi, a FAI heritage site) and Porlezza.



How to arrive: 

By car, from the A2 motorway take the Lugano Sud junction and set your GPS: in 15 minutes you will reach the car park.

By train, from Lugano station take bus No. 2 direction \"Castagnola, Capolinea\" for 5 stops and get off at \"Lugano, Palazzo Studi\" stop. From here take bus 490 direction \"Gandria, Paese\" for 7 stops and get off at the stop \"Gandria, Strada.\" In 3 minutes walk you will reach the apartment.
