Sterling Lodge is a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath cabin! Updates include spacious accommodations for 16 guests, private wooded acreage, and a seasonal in-ground swimming pool! Sterling Lodge is located on the same road as Hideaway Cabin, Secluded Cabin, Water's Edge, Tranqulity Ridge, and Coal Mine Ridge ! It works great as a stand-alone vacation destination, or part of a large group rental! 25+ to rent. AWD/4WD Recommended.

Weekend with Family, and friends

The house was a great find for our group. With 6 adults, and 6 kids it was a great combination of space, entertainment, and fun. The kids enjoy up her the hot tub and the movie theater, the adults enjoyed the pool table and large space to spread out. All parties agreed this would be a great place to rent again during the summer to use the pool as well.

The outside of the property is just breathtaking. It has a movie area but the internet isn’t great. Our dishes were dirty so we had to wash dishes before even cooking. Master bed was broken. They did offer to fix it. It did look like someone attempted to fix it. The internet is a downfall.

Relaxing getaway

This cabin is a nice secluded getaway. The basement area was spacious and ended up being where my family spent most of our weekend. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There are two things I would like to point out however. The fire pit is located out of the way on the side of the property, would’ve been nice if it was by the hot tub and outdoor seating area. Also the tv’s did not have ESPN, and the WiFi was pretty poor.

Good stay! Some cons

House was okay! Good size for 12 adults and 6 small kids. Pros and cons listed. I’m not sure if we’d stay here again if we had the choice due to multiple other housing options in the area. Pros: - Good size - Kitchen was stocked with dishes/cooking supplies - Basement and covered porch were good hang out areas - Secluded - Close to Hocking Hills State Park - Close to Walmart/restaurants Cons: - Electricity was wacky. Multiple lights didn’t work, especially outdoor lights - which was a pain after it got dark to not be able to see to play games/swim - Basement was FREEZING. Multiple family members had stuffy noses/colds by the time we left. Only one thermostat on the main level, set at 72, basement was still 62 at the warmest (our baby monitors gave us this info) - Pool is small, freezing as well, not much lounge area around the pool, lots of tree cover that blocked the warm afternoon sun - Outdoor TV did not work. We contacted the manager about this, but her tips to get it to work didn’t help - WiFi was okay, but service was terrible. Which was fine, but there was no way to call for help in case of emergencies. There was a landline present, but this didn’t work either. - Minimal fridge space. On the listing, an “extra refrigerator” is listed in the basement (along with the two mini fridges), but there was not one - Dead animal smell - was SO strong. Was better after a good rain, but then came right back. 3 of us have livestock, this smell was worse!

Great spot for a family trip

We spent 4 nights here with our family (7 adults, 5 kids) and it exceeded all of our expectations! The house was incredibly clean - likely the cleanest VRBO I have stayed at. The beds were comfy. There was a ton of space. The internet worked well overall considering how remote the house was. We spent all day and night at the pool and our kids loved it! We would definitely stay here again! 10/10 recommend.

Great weekend stay

We were extremely surprised by how cool this house is. Lots of open space and the game/movie toon in the basement was really great. Since the Wi-Fi didn’t work I would highly recommend this property if want to disconnect.

Beautiful cabin, no WiFi

The cabin is beautiful with huge rooms, giant game room basement, pool and hot tub! The only issue was the WiFi would not connect and there is no cell service for several miles. The property manager did send someone to check it but it was never resolved. There was a land line which also stopped working halfway through our stay. Overall a clean, beautiful cabin and location but if you are traveling with children or absolutely needed connected this wouldn’t be for you.

A Great Family Place

The property was so beautiful! It fit our family size perfectly. It was private, exceptionally clean, quiet, wonderful pool and patio area. Hot tub was enjoyed as well. Outdoor decks were wonderful. We weren’t crowded. Highly recommend this property.

Everything about the property was clean, comfortable, and great. The only issue was their verbiage in describing when the pool would be open. "mid-May" or if "unseasonably hot" did not come to fruition. Pool opens after Memorial Day.

Family Christmas

Our family made a last minute decision to take a short vacation down to the Hocking Hills area for Christmas 2021 as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves a couple years prior during Thanksgiving 2019. We were extremely fortunate and thankful to have found the Sterling Lodge. The property was absolutely amazing and the pictures online don't capture all of the comfort and richness this cabin provides. We were pleasantly surprised that a Christmas tree was set up and lit to welcome us when we arrived. The cabin was big enough to spread out, yet cozy and comfortable in every space. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds that we have ever slept in in our many years of traveling. The pool table, theater seating large screen TV area, and hot tub made this stay enjoyable for the entire family. We were thoroughly impressed with the communications received from Jenel Bentley, our contact from Buffalo Cabins and Lodges. Jenel responded within minutes of our emails on the few questions that we had getting acclimated to the cabin and surrounding area. We will definitely be returning to the Hocking Hills area in the near future and will be looking to stay at the Sterling Lodge again.

Family Reunion

The lodge was amazing. Clean and well stocked. The trash dumpster was over full when we arrived and not emptied during our stay. Menu on the hot tub said it was in need of being refreshed when we arrived. Location of the lodge is very secluded and quite. Love all the rocking chairs on the front porch. The pool was a lot of fun with all of our little ones. We had a photographer come for family photos during our stay. Great setting can’t wait to see how they turn out.
