The North Shore takes you from the hustle of Honolulu to explore some of the most pristine beaches nearby including Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay and Ehukai Beach. This is your perfect getaway paradise for those seeking for a calm, private, and relaxing Hawaiian vacation. The sand and water are just steps away, you will love the sound of the ocean lulling you into relaxation. The amazing lush greenery surrounding the home will give you that fresh and tropical experience. Our 3 bedroom cottage offers a large, private yard, beach is steps from the yard, and is close to many activities on the north shore.

Attention: Due to the proximity to the ocean, the salt air can accelerate the deterioration of metal surfaces, appliances, and other materials in and around the home. We want to ensure a comfortable stay and maintain the quality of our beachfront properties.

Please be aware that while we conduct regular maintenance and inspections to address these issues, some signs of wear and tear may still be present. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve these beautiful homes. If you notice any specific issues during your stay, please inform us immediately so we can address them promptly.

The Hawaiian Islands have some of the most remote tropical rainforests in the world. Nevertheless, like any moist and fertile environment, you may find some ants, mosquitoes, roaches and critters like little geckos that share this beautiful world with humans. To keep out bugs, remember to close the doors right after entering. Don't leave food or crumbs on counters or tables and avoid eating at the bed because ants are really smart and fast.

Awesome house, awesome location

This house is right on the water. The home is outfitted with everything you need and is very spacious. It’s also very private. Couldn’t have been happier.

Excellent Place

We had such a wonderful time at this property! It was well stocked with most of the things that we needed. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for a family. The ocean in the back yard was awesome! We did see some Man-o-war jelly fish on the beach which they should have a warning sign for. Had some roaches in the kitchen but realize it is a tropical environment. Overall, the good outweighed anything else. We would stay here again and highly recommend the place to others.

Beautiful View on a secluded beach

We had 7 adults stay and was very comfortable. The jack n jill bathroom shower did not work but we made do, but everything else in the house worked great. The house was fully stocked with all the amenities needed for a week stay. My mom loved the charcoal grill so much she ordered one for herself. The view and secluded beach was perfect. We would defiantly rent again :)

Dirty home on a quiet beach

This home is on a secluded beach. The water right in front of the home is fairly rocky but you could walk a ways down the beach in either direction to find better swimming spots. We found the home to be very worn and dirty. The window and sliding door tracks were really gross and looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. The windows themselves were almost impossible to see out of because they were so dirty. The shower curtains were moldy and should be replaced. The boogie boards and beach chairs were broken. It would have been nice to have air conditioning, at least in the bedrooms to make sleeping more comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The top bunk wasn’t usable due to the fact that the ceiling fan was so close to where someone would sleep. It seemed very unsafe to have a child up there when the fan was on. The dirt road at the base of the very steep driveway was kind of washed out and it got worse every time we drove on it. It was hard to make it up and down the driveway without bottoming out the sedan we rented. It definitely needs some attention. There was a good amount of seating for lounging and our kids enjoyed watching tv in the evenings when they were tired from being in the sun all day. The best part of the house was the covered deck that allowed us to be out of the sun but outside. We spent lots of time out there since the house was so hot. It did seem like the deck was falling apart. There were a lot of places on the deck where it felt like you might fall through because the decking wasn’t supported well underneath. There was plenty of extra sunscreen and lots of beach towels to use. It was nice to have a washer and dryer inside the house with laundry soap provided. There was plenty of shampoo, hand soap, toilet paper, etc. We did some cooking at the house and though it wasn’t a dream kitchen, it was well enough equipped with what we needed. There were dressers in all of the bedrooms which made it easy to unpack and make ourselves at home. The house was very private with no people staying at the house right next door. We spent lots of time walking on the beach. We walked to goat island from the beach one day which was a fun adventure. Overall, this house was adequate for our stay. It was nothing special but was satisfactory. It was a good jumping off point for many activities. A more thorough cleaning and air conditioning would have made a big difference in how much we enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful get away

We really enjoyed our time in Kahuku. The house was spacious, is just a few steps down to the beach, has a great location to shopping, state parks and food trucks. We enjoyed the patio that overlooks the beautiful ocean. We did have an issue with the washer spinning out but, we contacted the rental mgmt co, who put us in touch with the property care taker right away. She was very nice and sent someone over to assess the issue with the washer. Kahuku us a little slice of heaven for sure! We will definitely be returning.

Location saves the stay

Location was the only thing that kept me from giving it 3 stars. The cleaning crew should be fired. You could hardly see through the windows/screens, they were so dirty and the ceiling fans were absolutely filthy. For Such a large cleaning fee I would expect the place to be cleaner. I get that it is a tropical location, humid, with wind and sand, but honestly it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Definitely not before our arrival. Garbage disposal, shower in the jack & jill bath didn’t work, 2 of the 4 floor fans didn’t work, outlet in master was off the wall, and I’m guessing the safe needed batteries because it didn’t work either. As VRBO owners ourselves, and frequent renters around the country, this place was disappointing to say the least. They require a 10 day minimum stay and provide you with a 3 days supply of toilet paper & paper towels, which seemed a little cheap to me. When we tried to contact the caretaker we got no response until we contacted the VRBO property manager. It took over 36 hours for them to get back to us and send out a plumber when the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain. The actual house, and location was absolutely spectacular! We were close to groceries, food trucks, attractions, and the beach. We suggest the owner make a surprise visit and invest a little money to repair, and clean things up a bit.

North Shore Paradise

Enjoyable clean beach home just feet away from the ocean. We spent most of our time taking walks on the secluded beach, sitting on the porch watching the waves and wind surfers, and just plain relaxing. Perfect home to feel “at one with nature.”

Nice location but needs some TLC

The house is in an amazing location and the layout was perfect for us. However, the property needs some TLC. Only one shower worked and some of the outlets were not working. We did contact the manager about the shower and he offered to have someone come and look at it: but, we decided that we didnt want anyone in the house while we were occupying it. Hopefully it will be repaired for the next guests.

A winner for sure

Our stay was very enjoyable. Beautiful empty beach. Great deck to watch the ocean all day. Kitchen could be updated a bit. Only 1 small fry pan and toaster oven barely heats. Runners for screens and doors should be cleaned more frequently so they don’t stick. I would definitely come back.

Laie Getaway

Our stay on the North Shore at Laie Beach was a much needed vacation for our family and friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. The home was awesome and exceeded our expectations. Watching the sunrise each morning and viewing the moon and stars at night was spectacular. Plus having the beach to ourselves was amazing. We also enjoyed the country lifestyle mixed with the convenience of the nearby shops, restaurants and of course the food trucks. We can’t stop thinking and talking about the whole experience. great location,,, right on the beach, you hear the surf all day. ok so you got us with that,, but come on put some effort in the place to be more accommodating. first have k cup coffee maker and coffee it's 2022! we asked if there was bikes no response and no bikes or boogie boards beside the broken one. no snorkeling gear and we asked. beach chairs have been worked over and thrown under house. you can do better. the beach is awesome and no crowds.

Great Views!

This house was literally right on the ocean with a private beach. Absolutely stunning views. I gave it 4 stars due to work that needs done to house and cleanliness. Beds were very comfortable with clean linens. House clean except a lot of dust on top of frig. Screens were half off, torn on windows, and sliding door screens are worn. Someone did come and fix one screen while there. The lanai is not extremely safe. It makes a cracking sound in areas. There is one spot that really felt like if you stepped there again, you might fall thru. I told mgmt tho. I wish there was a mop on hand as floor gets to feeling dirty from mugginess Good supply of beach stuff on property...check before you buy/rent anything. Mgmt nice and answered all texts. We had a great time. We would definitely stay there again. We had a great time!

Awesome location!

Loved the beach sounds, gteat air flow and overall awesome house. Needs a little attention on the floor boards outside and some electrical issues but nothing too bothersome. Really enjoyed our time here and was able to really relax.

Beautiful Views

This location is fantastic! The ocean view from the back deck is beautiful...we spent a lot of time relaxing in the ocean breeze there. We also took advantage of the supplied body boards...good waves just a short walk up the beach from the property. Very pleased with this property. Thanks.
