Great stay!

We appreciated the ranch style home. It made it convenient for our kids, ages 6 and 4. The kids loved their bunk bed room with a TV. The pool was wonderful. The platform steps are nice for littles who can’t swim on their own but want to play. The foliage was beautiful around the pool and you could easily find a shaded area to sit or swim at any point during the day. The walk to the beach was simple. AMI is a relaxed, family oriented place. We would stay again.

AMI Getaway

Fantastic duplex because you don’t even know it’s a duplex. The neighborhood is quiet even when the roads on AMI and beaches are crowded. About a city block walk to the beach. Rent a bike to get to some of the islands great spots since they’re all right there. Our 3ed stay on AMI and we’ll be back sooner than later.

Fabulous location!!!

This home definitively overall exceeded expectations. It was a duplex though… which I wasn’t 100% aware of when I booked it but still maintained privacy as we had our own private fenced back area with pool and hot tub which was glorious! Many of the homes in the area are duplexes so something to keep in mind. The house itself is in an amazing location literally a walk down the street to the beach! The sunsets in AMI are incredible! The house was decently equipped with pool/beach items, towels and carts which was nice. The house was beautifully decorated, updated, clean and well equipped generally. Could have been a better stocked kitchen… we had to purchase quite a bit especially for a two week stay and have stayed in other rentals that had more of the basics. Bathrooms were very nice and showers comfortable although one was much hotter than the other and the master bedroom bathroom doesn’t have a door which is a little odd. Beds themselves were comfortable but bedding could be improved. Pillows and sheets not very high end considering the price of the rental. Overall we would rent here again bc of the location and back yard and the communication with the property management was great! Thank you for allowing us to stay in this beautiful property!

Great location!

The property was clean, so nice, private bkyd, and the walk to the beach short! Beach was phenomenal as well! The management was by far the easiest VRBO we have ever dealt with! It really felt like their focus was about us just relaxing and enjoying our stay. Loved that!!!

Great Location

The location of this property is perfect, beach access is at the end of the street. We did have trouble with the hot tub working. They came out to fix it once but then it still didn’t work correctly after that. The pool was very warm which was fantastic for January but the table in the pool is a little rusty. The inside of the property was clean but the appliances were loose in their places. We thought the microwave was going to come off the wall. Some dishes and silverware were not clean so we purchased paper products. Overall it was a great location and nice set up. Could just use a little TLC.

Met expectations

Very nice house that met our expectation. Quick and smooth booking and check-in/out. Two minor problem though: - the dishwasher was attached to the desk with 2 screws, in a very unprofessional way - the dishwasher door was impossible to close, I had to take the screws away - the "sink chew" (dont know the correct english word for it) didnt work. Exept that, we would very much like to rent this house once more, if we visit Anna Maria Island again.

Highly Recommended

Mermaids Watch surpassed all of our expectations on this trip! This location/amenities are as pictured and described on the website. As a family of 9 traveling from Illinois, a few of us were apprehensive that the location would be comfortable enough for all of us under one roof. Turns out we had no reason to worry! We had plenty of space in this unit and wished we never had to leave. Mermaids Watch, both inside and out, was gorgeous. The proximity to the beach and shops were perfect! The communication between the company and any problems we ran into during our stay, was excellent and addressed immediately. 10/10 will recommend this location to friends and family. Thank you so much for having us, and we will most definitely be returning!

Fantastic!

Mermaids Watch is wonderfully appointed, beautifully decorated, and perfectly situated. We loved the easy walk out to the private pool and spa, our comfy beds, showers with excellent water pressure and endless hot water! The neighbourhood is quiet, and the pool/spa was very private. Being located one block from the beach made for quick trips to and from the property. The handy beach cart with toys, floaties and chairs was a great touch. My only suggestions for improvement would be to replace some of the 'well-loved' beach chairs (rusty, fabric worn) and cookware (Paula Deen non-stick pan has definitely earned retirement!). The bedroom fan in the Queen bedroom needs to be adjusted so that it doesn't tick like a clock. This room would also benefit from some type of soundproofing between the wall separating the Queen bedroom from the pump room. That being said, I definitely don't want to come across as disgruntled! Our experience at this property was wonderful. In fact, these suggestions for improvement merely indicate that Mermaids Watch has been enjoyed by many guests! My family and I are already talking about returning!

Great vacation experience

This place worked out great for my family and I. Awesome location - very close to the beach. Very functional layout in this home, and everything was as advertised. Lisa was amazing to deal with as well. She was very quick to respond to calls / emails and was sincerely interested in making sure our stay was perfect. Would definitely rent again.

House was clean. There were Pool/beach toys,wagon,chairs. House is a very short walk to beach. No complaints other than backyard had no grass for dogs to go to the bathroom had to walk on the street not a big deal. I would definitely stay there again

Spacious, clean and great location!

We all enjoyed our stay very much. The house was a great fit and completely met our needs. From the beginning of the week up until we left, we did notice a few gnats flying about the house. There weren't a lot, but enough to be noticed and an occasional annoyance. The only thing lacking were some supplies in the kitchen (foil, storage bags, coffee filters, etc.) These are items that are not perishable, but when on a one week stay, any amount you purchase will not be used up by the end of the stay. We did appreciate that the grill had a second propane tank (the first was nearly empty apparently) and were able to switch out quite easily! If you are considering a stay on Anna Maria Island, we would certainly recommend renting Mermaid's Watch!

The house and pool were amazing! We had and amzing girls vaca! We will be back ❤️

This house and pool is amazing! A very short walk to the beach, bay, and free trolley! Everything was very clean with all the modern amenities! Two full baths with a house full of women was fabulous! The open floor plan allowed us all to gather without ever feeling over crowed! Can't wait to return ❤️

Perfect for a group or family!!!

Spotless, everything there! Great communication and follow up to check in on us. THE way to go with a family!! Our first time using VRBO...it won't be the last. Red tide ruined a lot of our beach time, but between the pool and easy access to northern beaches, we just day packed further up the coast. We ALL loved this house and all its amenities!!! THANKS!!!!

Beautiful home, close to beach with wonderful pool area.

This home was perfect! It was clean, up-to-date, and well-equipped. The beach was just a five minute walk away and you could hear the ocean from the house. It came equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and more, meeting the needs of our kids ranging 2-17!!! The pool and spa area was perfect for keeping the kids entertained and such an added bonus. Traci was quick to meet all our needs and make our stay as nice as possible. The island is full of fun little shops and eateries and the grocery store was close by. We highly recommend this home on this lovely, peaceful island.

The house was close to the beach with adequate accommodations.

This house was average for our family of 6. The walk to the beach was short and the pool was great for afternoons and evenings after dinner. We had a few issues with the cleanliness of the home when we arrived. The pull out sofa bed had very dirty sheets and the trundle bed sheets were also dirty. Also, we got in town late Sunday evening, and very early Monday morning there were painters on site without notice. They were knocking on the door making sure they were at the correct house. Which we weren't for sure, since we had no idea they were coming. Overall, we had a good stay. These were just a few issues we didn't expect and weren't notified of before our stay. The vibe of Anna Maria Island is very laid back and relaxing, making it difficult for us to be overly upset.

great location for the beach but there were problems

Being only 1 1/2 blocks from the beach with 3 little kids we thought it was easy getting to it without having the beach traffic around us. But there were issues with the house from the very start. At first there was no internet service. It took 4 days before they finally got the internet company to the house and they said it was because of out of date equipment in the house. There was also a problem with the A/C. On the second day we realized it wasn't keeping the house cool and was constantly running during the day. At first we were told that it was related to the internet problem because the system is monitored remotely and without the internet connection it was running at a default setting. Well the problem did continue after the internet issue was fixed. The A/C was finally fixed on the 8th day of our stay. One of the main reasons we picked this house was because it was listed as being able to handle up to 10 people, which we had; 5 adults, 2 middle school kids, and 3 preschool kids. We found this was too many for this house; the max should be 8. We bought an air mattress to make it more comfortable, which we left behind. We also found some of the mattresses are worn out and need to be replaced. There was also an annoyance with the A/C system. Every once in awhile we heard a "loud" pump running from the laundry closet. We believe the condensation from the A/C unit must have been going into a holding tank which was then pumped out. During the day it wasn't bad but at night it could wake someone up who might be sleeping on the sleeper sofa or in the bedroom on the other side of the wall of the laundry closet. On most days everyone was too tired to notice and it didn't wake them up. But on a few "relaxed" days, when not overly tired, it did wake them up when it ran.
