Gorgeous lake house


This freshly renovated and eclectic family home on beautiful Seneca lake, situated 4.5 mi south of Bellhurst castle and 30mi north of Watkins glen features 250ft of private lake front for swimming kayaking etc.. a beautiful dock for fishing and swimming. Boat space available depending on lake levels And size of boat(at your own risk) spacious front yard with hammock and fire pit after long days on the wine trail or in the water. Unwind and relax with a hot outdoor shower with on demand hot water or soak in the wonderful hot tub. New mini splits means you'll be comfortable no matter the weather. Large soaker tub and private balcony in master suite over look the lake and is a great place to take a cappacino or espresso from the espresso machine. High speed internet and streaming tv and cable in each bedroom as well as in the living area means everyone will have thier own space after long days in the sun. The kitchen is a dream brand new 60" aga range with 2 convention ovens and 6 powerful commercial style burners means even the most discerning chefs have what they need. Quartz counters and plenty of prep space to get everyone involved . Dining room off kitchen/ living area with its own outdoor space complete with fire table and outdoor sofa are a great place to take a nightcap or after dinner cocktail. This house is truly a great way to unwind and relax. Come see why this home is so special to and soon sure to be special to you. Feel free to reach out with questions and check out our reviews..We are dog friendly and encourage your whole family to come make kashong a summer tradition for years to come... a few comments from past guests. Rene has a lovely, eclectic house that felt welcoming from our first steps out of the car with the beautiful flowers outside. There were also some vases of flowers inside. The house was clean with everything we needed. We played lawn games on the flat grassy back yard, swam from the dock, took out our rented pontoon, sat in the hot tub, made fires in the fire pit and also around the gas fire outside on one of the few cloudy days.
Rene had lists of different places to visit. The house's location is close enough to Geneva for access to stores and restaurants but still close to some great hiking trails. Our 10 days were not long enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our second year visiting this amazing home! Rene shares not only her home but all of her treasures contained within, that speak to creativity and a family feel. We used the hot tub atter tubing all day long, enjoyed game day in the dining room on rainy days and delicious evening BBQ dinners (located across the street) that we could walk to with ease! There was plenty of room, comfortable beds and living room air conditioning was a welcome thing during the humid evenings. The canoe and paddleboat and kayaks were excellent for our teens to fish and explore and we even saw a bald eagle! Just love this house on the lake! Thank you for sharing! Peaceful lake house with glorious views of the sun and moon rises. Host was very gracious and thought of EVERYTHING we might need. She even availed to us the use of her 'water toys. Host was readily available when questions arose. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the lake. My husband and I vacationed with our two adult children and our family dog. The house was even better than what we expected and had everything you could possibly need. Rene was so very sweet and accommodating. The area was quiet and being right on the lake was exceptional. The property is well maintained and the flowers were beautiful. We do hope we can return again!

Rene's house and property are absolutely lovely. She has thought of everything and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one from fishing rods, plenty of towels, a Smores kit, firewood, etc. Any questions we had, Rene answered promptly and helpfully. The hot tub and outdoor shower are great bonuses and the lake is clean and clear for swimming, kayaking, etc. The house and property are so well cared for and well loved--clean, beautiful and the garden was full of flowers. The area is wonderful--Smokin' Pete's BBQ is right across the street and has Trivia Night and great food. Geneva and Wegman's is about 10-15 minutes away and don't forget to try the Spotted Duck in Penn Yan (10 minutes away) for great ice cream. There's also Sweet Acres Creamery (10 minutes away)--an Amish grocery store with great ice cream, produce, groceries, etc. We rented a boat from Roy's Marina--five minutes up the road and just had an awesome time cruising around the lake. All in all, a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning.

Gorgeous Spot On Lake

My wife, 2 grown daughters and I spent a wonderful week on Seneca Lake. The house was just as advertised and very clean! We could tell that Norene took care of a lot of details to make our stay the best we’ve had on the lake. The flat and grassy backyard was perfect for sitting and reading in the sun. I especially enjoyed sitting at the end of dock early morning and evening watching birds and boats float by. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was perfect, and living room cozy.

Four Generations

We had such a wonderful time at Rene's home. Everything was beautifully decorated and very homy. She is stocked with all you could need during your visit and responded within a few minutes to any questions we had. We hope to one day visiting this home again!

It was a beautiful spot On Seneca lake for a week. Lots of activities for all of us. We spent time with family and friends in the area. The hot tub was a hit for everyone all week. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. Sunrise and sunsets on the lake were awesome. Lots of Breweries and wineries were great. Could not have asked for more.

Lovely Lakefront Retreat

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed a relaxing week in this lakefront home. We enjoyed the ability to swim and boat from the shore and dock. The hot tub was an added bonus. The home is cozy and decorated with a whimical flair. Kitchen is well appointed for cooking.

Home away from hime

This property was great! Amazing kitchen and outdoor cooking space, big yard, lots of privacy from the neighbors. Perfect for a small group to relax! Water was shallow enough to walk out and float around without worrying about boats. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful home and property for a relaxing stay

We so enjoyed our stay at Norene’s home. The house was incredibly clean, comfortable, and charmingly decorated, with much care and thought given to the details that make a stay relaxing and easy to manage. We particularly liked the backyard with multiple seating areas, and spent a lot of time floating in the water and on the paddle boat. The location was great with easy access to Geneva and the gorgeous area. Norene was a fantastic host, she checked in early in our stay to be sure we were settling in and was very responsive throughout the week.

First family vacation with grandson

This was the perfect home away from home for my daughter, son in law and our just turning 1 yr old grandson. Gorgeous garden and decor

We love to cook and this kitchen is obviously a cook’s kitchen. The stove was a little intimidating but actual was just like our gas stove. The hints of the finger lakes are everywhere from the antiques, to the photos and the Corning glass. We enjoyed the dock and boats. We were a little nervous about the trains, but loved when they came by and often you did not notice. Swimming

Lovely home with a zen vibe!

Our adult children and spouses enjoyed a beautiful week at this property. Lovely amenities with a nice lawn area and very conveniently located near wineries, restaurants, breweries and the Spotted Duck!! Definitely would stay again.

Seneca Lake joy

Norene was a FANTASTIC host and the property was amazing! I can't say enough about how beautiful it was. The location was perfect...right on the water and level so there was no need for climbing steps. It was also very close to Geneva and any number of wineries and breweries. The house was clean and very comfortable and fully stocked with all kinds of kitchen equipment, games, and water toys (canoe, kayaks and pedal boat). The hot tub was a real plus for us and it was pet friendly Norene was a great host and Very responsive to any small questions or issues. Please note that the master suite on the second floor is not completely private with regard to sound. It is visually private however it is visually private

Perfect Lake Getaway Place (with your furry family):)

We stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time! This home was absolutely just what we needed and soo welcoming for our dogs! We were greeted with a goodie bag from our hostess full of S'Mores materials and a few toys for our dogs! The fire pit, covered porch area with the gas fire pit, the long dock and the outdoor deck were our favorite places to be. The dining area was full of games and had an inviting feel that made us want to sit around the table and play for hours. The kitchen had more accessories than we knew what to do with and even a Kitchen Aid mixer too! Kayaks and a canoe were at the ready and plenty of lifejackets for us all. Beautiful gardens surrounded this home and we felt secluded and cozy at all times. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning next year. Nora was a thoughtful and responsive hostess~!! We enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thank you for a wonderful week :)

The perfect summer vacation on Seneca Lake

Our host Noreen was super helpful and responsive to all of our needs and then some. The house is way more beautiful than the online photos can show. And the property and location is just perfect for access to the whole Finger Lakes area! Of course with the wonderful hot tub, kayaks, fire pit and other amenities there's really no need to leave the property. We would love to stay again!

Awesome place to stay

We had a wonderful time at Rene's!! The house is amazing, the views of the lake are awesome and the sun rises are spectacular. Rene thought of absolutely everything. We spent two weeks there. The first week was pretty rainy and outdoor activities were limited, but the wineries around kept us entertained and then we watched a lot of movies on Netflix! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and well organized. The kitchen has everything you could possible need, including tons of spices! She had little treats around for us, which made it feel so special. Rene was always immediately responsive to any questions we had. We would love to go back next year! Than k you, Rene!!

Perfect Vacation!

Wow!! This home is located on the most gorgeous property! Lovely huge yard goes right down to the water. Perfect for doggie swim lessons or launching kayaks or paddleboats. The dock is fabulous for coffee in the morning or fishing. Everything is beautifully maintained from the two firepits to multiple decks and seating areas. Flowers everywhere! The property is so incredible if you are traveling with your dog. Our pup thought he was in heaven! The inside of the home is jaw dropping with so much attention to detail and artistic touches that will amaze everyone! Every comfort has been thought of! Many areas for everyone to spread out or be close together! Plenty of room and equipment for cooking. High quality appliances and cookware. Feels like being home only MUCH better view. This location is perfect! Close to many wineries, restaurants and shopping, yet very private. The view is the best on the lake! Norene is the most gracious and generous host we have met during many years of renting vacation homes! Thank you so much for sharing this exceptional home!

Family Vacation on Seneca Lake

The area and region are exceptional. The home was the perfect spot to enjoy the lake and the region. The host and thought of everything. When we arrived she had s'mores and firewood to start out our vacation right. That set the right tone. During our stay we were able to relax as a family. We enjoyed local wine tasting, excellent local restaurants, running, biking, kayaking, swimming, blueberry picking, cooking, and local ice cream at the Spotted Duck. Sometimes we just sat and also enjoyed the sunsets, the lake, the gardens and the surroundings.

Fabulous!

Friends long weekend getaway... couldn’t have been better! House is beautiful... full of interesting art, stained glass, and everything you’d need in the kitchen. The yard is large and full of flowers... and did I mention the lakefront access with dock, kayaks, fire pit, hammock, deck? We had a wonderful time and hope to come back. The host is very responsive and kind! Highly recommend!
