Cabins on Knopp School-Czech Cabin - Private Hot Tub - Romantic Getaway

The Czech Cabin is a perfect country getaway experience that is located just 6 miles from downtown Fredericksburg. This cabin was built using antique oak logs from an 1800’s log cabin and yet has all the modern amenities and conveniences including a full-size kitchen.
Enjoy your glass of wine or morning coffee on the porch rockers; sit in front of a beautiful limestone fireplace; take a long soak in a claw-foot tub (plumbed with shower head) or relax in your private hot tub surrounded by a stucco wall.
Take a stroll around the property where wildlife and song birds abound. Tranquil and breath-taking hill country views, beautiful sunsets, and amazing star-gazing await you. The owner has purchased 2 new golf carts for guests to use to drive around the property. (No one under the age of 18 are allowed to drive the carts!) Please return the carts back to the garage after you use them.
Please note that Czech Cabin is perfect for couples. The homeowners request no pets and no children.

Hiking stay

The cabin was just the right size and the view was good. We were visited by many animals which was fun to watch. Hot tub after hiking was great and watching the stars relaxing in the hot tub was amazing.

Wonderful Weekend

We enjoyed the cabin and its setting. The hot tub was very private and the view from the kitchen of the pasture and cattle was very peaceful. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect anniversary getaway

Great place to stay!

My wife and I spent our 7th anniversary here and had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful with lots of wildlife to keep us entertained between our trips into town. We had such a lovely time that we have told everyone we know to visit.

Nice private getaway

This is a great property. The privacy of the enclosed patio with the hot tub was perfect. The bed was comfortable. The living, kitchen & breakfast nook were all comfortable, which made the home feel roomy. We spent the mornings on the front porch drinking coffee & watching the deer & cows. Suggestions for the kitchen would include a better coffee pot & not relying on the prior guests to have cleaned their dishes. We felt we needed to wash everything we used before we used it (like lipstick on a coffee mug). The bathroom could use another table or pedestal for setting toiletries & some bar soap, but these were minor issues. Access to the property was easy & we felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. We loved being five miles out of town. That really fit our speed. All in all, we definitely recommend this cabin for a couple seeking privacy & avoidance of the crowds. We enjoyed it.

Labor Day weekend stay!

Cabin is beautiful! Not the cabin we initially chose to stay, somehow “keys” might have gotten mixed up. Over all was a great stay! Very clean and location and scenery is beautiful!

Peaceful, Quiet, Blissful, Relaxing

This little cabin in the country is exactly what we needed. I booked the weekend to give my wife some quiet time away from the kids for her Birthday. This place is exactly what the DR ordered. Ken & Henrietta have done an amazing job decorating the cabin. It was furnished with everything needed for a weekend. trip. All we needed was out clothes and a toothbrush. The hot tub was a great amenity in the cool evenings. In the morning we sat at the breakfast table drinking coffee watching the deer play in the pasture. Even though the owners were on the property, we did not feel like we were pressured or being managed at all. Henrietta came back from a morning run while we were walking the property and we had a nice chat, and that was our only interaction with them. The cabin is in really great shape. All the things you need. One slight thing that might be updated in the future would be a new mattress for the bed. Its getting a bit up there in mileage. But it did not cause any sleep issues for us.

Beautiful cabin but uncomfortable host

The cabin was beautiful and the inside was very nicely decorated and had all the amenities of home. The view from the porch was gorgeous and just as advertised. However the bed was uncomfortable and the mattress needs to be changed out, I did not sleep well. The only really negative part of the stay where I will not be returning was the encounter with the hosts as we were leaving. We were heading back into the house to make sure the A/C was turned down to the correct level. My husband forgot to close the gate behind him when he went back inside. I was angrily confronted by the host who didn’t even wait until we were fully checked out, who rudely reprimanded us for not closing the gate. I tried to explain to her that it was an honest mistake by my husband, but she wouldn’t let me talk, just kept yelling. In addition, she said that she had been looking into our “private” area during our stay and reprimanded us for leaving the back sliding door open for “20-30” min that morning. What was supposed to be a private romantic weekend away with my husband was completely ruined by nosy hosts who acted horribly. Beware if you are looking for a relaxing getaway, I left with my anxiety levels heightened from someone who doesn’t have common decency to talk to others in a nice way.

Short getaway

Peaceful and serene cabin in Central Texas Hill Country

Wow! This is such a beautiful cabin great for enjoying some romantic time away. While it feels so remote, it's 5-10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg and great wineries. The hosts are super friendly and keep the cabin and property in amazing condition. Or, if you just want to stay in, it has a really well equipped kitchen/bath/living room. For comfort, the sofas are great. The bed is a firm mattress and while there is no ceiling fan in the bedroom, they do have a fan in the closet if you prefer more airflow (or white noise!). And, there is great privacy for the hot tub.

Perfect getaway

This property was amazing! Every little detail was well thought out and the cabin was adorable! I always worry about cleanliness when staying at B&B’s, but I can honestly say that this place was spotless. We loved the hot tub and the privacy. The cabin is about a 5 minute drive from downtown, but we didn’t mind. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again next time we visit Fredericksburg!

Amazing cottage getaway

This is the most incredible place to stay when looking for a cottage in Fredericksburg!! This place is super cute and clean! It has a great kitchen, claw foot tub, and access to a pool and hot tub. The owners are amazing!! They are so considerate and want their guests to have the best stay. Thank you and looking forward to another stay soon!!

Picturesque and Perfect

Beware: You may have intentions of spending time in/around Fredericksburg, exploring shops, museums, and restaurants—but once you arrive at this cabin you may rethink your plans. My husband and I ended up spending the majority of our time in the rocking chairs on the front porch, admiring the views, swimming in the pool, and plotting our return. The property owners were the perfect hosts. This is an easy drive to/from downtown Fredericksburg but you'll feel like you're in your own little world.

Relaxing retreat

The property is pristine, exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed for a relaxing anniversary getaway. Owners are onsite and very friendly. Pool and hot tub were relaxing and the porch breezy and great for wildlife viewing. Would definitely return.

Husband and I needed a quick getaway, found this property with pool as we couldn’t get to the beach this summer. Owner was fantastic! Location is great: far enough for peace and quiet but close enough for things to do in Fredericksburg. Thank you for our rejuvenation!
