A-Frame of Mind is a perfect cozy getaway in a lakeside community!

A-Frame of Mind is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath home that was completely remodeled spring of 2021. We are located in a scenic lakeside community on fabulous Rough River Lake. We are 300 yards away from a community boat launch with parking at top of hill should you decide to bring your boat or kayak. No need to climb hills with coolers and so on. The boat launch is close and convenient. The home offers large kitchen with island and all the amenities. You’ll have wireless internet connection. We have a TV in the family room and one upstairs with a play station. We have a large dining room table with plenty of room for the whole family. The home offers covered porches front and back as well as a large deck equipped with a gas grill and ample seating. We have a fire pit in the back yard stocked with dry firewood for roasting marshmallows or just simply enjoying conversation around a fire. We have two full bathrooms both with walk in showers. The home does have a washer and dryer. A Frame of Mind is centrally located in the heart of Rough River Lake. We are 10 miles from Rough River State Park which offers dining, boat rental, a beach, Friday night concerts, and many more activities as well as a small airport. We are 15 minutes from Lafayette Golf course. It is located 20 minutes outside of Leitchfield and 45 minutes to Bowling Green and about an hour to Mammoth Cave. You can access the lake at the boat launch area for fishing and swimming as well. We are a golf cart, side by side, 4 wheeler friendly community. Bring yours along and enjoy some sight seeing around our large lakeside community.There is also typically nightly deer viewing from the front and back porches. We also have 2 other homes within 1 mile of this location in the same neighborhood that sleeps 8 and 6. All 3 homes have plenty of parking which is a rarity among lake homes. Plenty of room for multiple trucks with boats in tow.

Great place to stay

The place was really nice and clean. The boat dock is close. We enjoyed staying there a lot. I was able to meet Joe, He was really personable and cool to chat with. The next time I stay in the area I will be booking one of their properties for sure.

WONDERFUL!!!

This property was so great, not just because the house was clean and beautiful but the neighborhood was FANTASTIC!! The first day we met a wonderful lady that told us all about where we could go fishing and how wonderful the lake was! Then we just kept meeting all the neighbors, just sitting outside on the porch people would stop just to say hi!! Even the owners of this home stopped to apologize for mowing the lawn while we were home, they were worried they woke us up!!! It was so great and I can't wait until we can travel again down there because we will stay at this house or at least in this neighborhood again!!

A-Frame is A-1

It’s a nice house. Two downstairs bedrooms a cozy and dark. The upstairs is a little more airy. The house stayed cool and had plenty of outdoor lounging space. Nice kitchen that was well equipped with utensils and cooking hardware. Boat ramp was easily accessible and the folks there were very friendly. For those concerned, lake level in this cove was fine. We didn’t have any problems at all launching and recovering. Great place.

Windy Road to the A Frame

Be prepared to travel up and down some windy back roads. The home is in the country with little service. It was pleasantly modern & very well kept! The beds are … OMG comfortable! We travelled here for a motocross race at South Fork & it was the perfect house for us! We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back this way for a race!

Perfect vacay for big family on a budget

This Vrbo property was perfect for my family of 6 who decided to go on a last minute vacation. This house is conveniently located 45 minutes away from Mammoth Cave National Park. The owners communicated immediately with any questions I had. This house came complete with everything listed, perfect.

House is cozy and Quiet.

The house was beautiful. We loved it . Very cozy . We had deer out in yard . Very relaxing . The hallway floor is very slick . I fell and my husband almost did as well. On arrival finding dead bugs and spider webs every where . And swarms of flies every time a light was turned on they swarmed .. Everything else seemed cleaned. We paid a high price for cleaning . No one had cleaned in a while .You need a new cleaning person.

Lake getaway

We had a fantastic long weekend stay at this adorable A-Frame. It’s well appointed with 3 bedrooms and two full baths. Nice cold AC, good internet connection (if needed) and a large sectional perfect to relax after a long day out on the water. The kitchen was stocked with the basics needed to cook each evening and even a propane grill on the deck! There is a beautiful dining table large enough for everyone to enjoy meals all together. The community boat dock was a very short drive or a nice walk away. Everyone in the community was very friendly, including our hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed make the most of our stay. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Perfect Weekend Gataway

A Frame of Mind was perfect for our weekend at Rough River! The house was so cute and accommodated everything we needed. The owners were great. The back deck was our favorite spot. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

Best lake house we've stayed at so far

We stayed for 3 days and the place was great! Nice patio area, short walk to the boat launch ramp. Just a really nice cabin with nice decor and plenty of room for guests. We took the master bedroom with its own bathroom and balcony and it was just a great stay. Highly recommend. Only negative thing I can say is that it's not directly on the waterfront. But the boat ramp/dock is not far at all. Perfect if you have a boat.

Excellent fishing location!!

The place was excellent for our little fishing group! A ramp close by for our boats and the host was very accommodating to us in the event we needed the extra room for parking boats.. Weather was extremely cold and windy, but we caught several quality fish!!! Will be making this a destination for future trips!! Thank you so much for having us!!

A-Frame of Mind

A-Frame of Mind was absolutely perfect!!! It's a gem!! We will definitely be back to stay there. The house was sparkling clean, had everything we needed..the owners thought of everything..An added bonus was the neighborhood itself, Super friendly people and laid back. The owner and his wife are wonderful, we really enjoyed meeting them and can't wait to go stay again.
