Crystal Beach Subdivision - Key Lime Pie

Just a quick walk to the beach, you will fall in love with the coastal, elegant Key Lime Pie house with many fine upgrades and upscale decor. You will love the tranquility of the quiet tropical backyard with cobblestones and lush tropical plants and palms with patio seating and a private propane grill. The living area offers a soft microsuede sectional, a comfy chair, a large TV, a DVD player, and a CD stereo system. The dining room features a lovely café-height dining table for six and three bar stools for casual dining at the bar. The kitchen is well-equipped with a full complement of housewares and full-size stainless steel appliances. There is also a separate laundry room adjoining the kitchen with a full-size front-load washer/dryer.

The main bedroom has a large TV, a DVD player, and access to the private main bathroom. Both guest bedrooms also feature TVs.

The public beach access is just a few blocks from this incredible home. This house is close to shopping, dining, family activities, beach activities, golfing venues, fishing, and boating.

Good size house and a great location

The house is very open and light. The kitchen is well equipped. It needs lots of updating and care. The location is awesome; no need to worry about safety in this nice neighborhood. You can walk to everything, very convenient.

Nice house and location

We stayed at this bungalow for Christmas week to be near family. The location is convenient to the beach, shopping, and the bridge to get to our family. This house is great for a family or two couples to share. The common areas have room for watching a movie or playing a board game. It is in a really cute neighborhood. The management company is very responsive.

Key Lime Pie House Destin

House was good, needs some updates with furniture and flooring. Pretty well-stocked. I bought and donated a new shower curtain and liner for the master bath because the one there when I got there was disgusting! Yard had lots of debris from a recent storm that I spent an hour cleaning up. I made 2 piles, one in front and one in back. I text property manager and she said she would send someone to pick up. That was the first day and no one ever cleaned it up. Our guests complained of the bed in 2nd bedroom, said they met in the middle of mattress. They tried flipping it but that didn’t help. Also, the master closet is now a built in for TV so no place for hanging clothes on hangers. Fortunately, we didn’t have guests using 3rd BR so we used that closet. Also, electrical in front of house seems to be not working. Neither outlet in master bath worked, had to get extension cord for hairdryer and only one outlet on exterior worked. Small inconveniences but if it was my house, I would want to know. It’s a lot of money to pay to have to go buy a shower curtain!

FLITHY PROPERTY

Unfortunately, the property was extremely filthy. I was shocked at the amount of mold and garbage that was left outside. The inside of the house was disgusting to the point that we scrubbed and washed the table and the countertops five times before we successfully removed a film of filth. I contacted the property manager via text and received an automated message to “ enjoy my stay”. For four nights, the total cost WAY TOO MUCH for the current condition. It’s unbelievable to me that they couldn’t invest in having a cleaning service come in thoroughly deep clean the inside and outside of this house. I honestly recommend a Google search of one Cozy Cove Dustin this is the property behind the one listed here for rent. One Cozy Cove is independently, owned and operated the gentleman who owns it used to be best friends with the former owners of this property. He’s tried to no avail to have VRBO clean up the property, mow the lawn, maintain the debris and garbage outside. One Cozy Cove, Is available for rent including an inground pool, at a much cheaper rate, negotiable, and spotless! Do yourself a favor do not rent from VRBO

Lovely one level house . Very clean. Spacious. Very close to everything. Well equipped kitchen.

Great renting experience. We rented the place for a birthday celebration. Plenty of room. Very clean and spacious. House is literally minutes from anything you want to do in Destin. If we come back to the area again to visit family we wouldn’t hesitate to rent the place again. Extremely happy with the rental.

Overall good.

The house was clean, however there were missing and broken blinds, both front and back doors. I was very annoyed that the service man was inside to replace them when we weren't there and had NOT received a call letting us know to expect someone. When I called the office they were somewhat apologigetic, but hung up on me. I felt that we should have received a text or call advising us to expect someone entering the house. The landscaping needs some attention.

Dirty accomodations

All the furniture is worn out and too dirty to enjoy sitting on. Outdoor furniture is very much worse. Would not even consider using patio and patio furniture. Virtually no outside maintenance recently. Tall grass, snakey, etc. Towels were awful- old dingy hotel towels. Only one kitchen towel. Upstairs was dirty and "beds" uncomfortable. Furniture is dirty. The upstairs banisters are Shakey and need to be stabilized better. Definitely a safety concern. Refrigerator does not get cool enough. AC thermostat is wonky. All blinds need replacing immediately. They are broken and don't close. This place is a maintenance nightmare. Beach was way further away than five minute walk as advertised. Could not get code to pool. We have stayed in quite a few VRBO accomodations. Never been anything but very pleased until this one.

Perfect house for family and pets

We loved staying at The Key lime house in Destin! The house fit me, my husband, 5 kids and 2 dogs perfectly! Great beds, comfortable living room and outdoor space with a gas grill. Huge kitchen that had all of the things we needed because we cooked a lot!The location was great, nice friendly neighborhood, short walk to the beach that had white sand and emerald green water! There were shops , restaurants and grocery stores 3 minutes from the house! Everything was perfect. Only thing I didn’t think to bring was dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent, also couldn’t get on the WiFi but never called to ask about it. Otherwise perfect!!!

Everything you need

We had a wonderful time staying at Key Lime Pie for our Destin vacation. The house was perfect for our needs and was walking distance to the beach. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with what we needed. I highly recommend Key Lime Pie. Loved it!

Not Worth the Money

The house overall was not clean. Food in the sofa, mattress box spring had blood in it, sticky residue on table, dog poop in backyard, dog pee stain on area rug. Not impressed. Lots of traffic through neighborhood including a school bus stop! Backyard not useable, furniture gross, trees and Shrubs not maintained. Rusted bench on front porch. Would not recommend

Spacious and Great Location

We were surprised by how run down the outside of the property was: gates into the driveway were broken, yard needed work, rusty bench on front porch, and broken blinds greeted us. Inside was spacious with a beautiful kitchen. Very nice layout. The week we were there the weather was not ideal. Wish beddings were not so thin and there were thicker or more blankets. Location was great: 7 minutes walk to beach and 5 minutes walk to shopping center. We enjoyed our stay in Destin.

Fabulous... but...

We LOVED our stay at the Key Lime house and our first time visiting the gulf coast. The house was spacious, comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and it would have been absolutely perfect ... but the internet did not work and the fridge did not keep food cold. These two things significantly impacted our stay. I called more than half a dozen times and received no communication back from the local management. After a few days I fixed the internet myself but had been unable to do the work I needed to do and that caused so much stress and anxiety- unable to get work done or attend the virtual conference I had arranged to do during our stay. It basically caused many sleepless nights and ruined my ability to relax and enjoy the rest of our stay. Our food was ruined and I had to rotate a gallon of milk in and out of the freezer to prevent spoiling. If not for those problems ... our stay would have been heaven! I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the house, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, ample linens, well stocked kitchen... it was just fabulous. But I was soooo disappointed that after days of calls to the managing company that no one came by to fix the internet or check the fridge. By the third day we gave up trying to wait around 24/7 by the phone for their call and just tried to go enjoy why we were there. (We did have returned phone call once from Vacasa located in Oregon, but they could not get ahold of local managing staff to actually address any problems. They basically took messages and old us many time they were moving our call back status up to urgent and then to red or whatever- but it didn’t change anything... no response or action at all locally)

Nice neighborhood

We had a great time at the Crystal Beach rental, the house was adorable and the neighborhood was family friendly. The house had plenty of room with most everything you would need, other than beach supplies. We had a few lights out and they came and fixed then the next day after we called the office. My family had a good time revisiting Crystal Beach and enjoyed the home. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet family Destin vacation.

Perfect house for a family and pet

The house was clean, comfortable, well appointed and had a well equipped kitchen. The location was a few blocks from the beach in a quiet and attractive neighborhood. The pool was a block away. It was perfect for our family with ages from 3 months to 60 years. We did not want to be right on the beach or have a pool in the yard due to the young children, but wanted to be within walking distance. There was a lot of shopping close by for everything we needed including groceries and pet store. Our small dog was able to come with us which was nice. Some places that allow pets can be a bit run down but this one was very nice. We felt right at home.

Relaxing getaway

Our stay at Key Lime Pie was everything we had hoped! The house was beautiful , clean and a short walk to the beach. We arrived in Destin very early the day we were to check in so planned to kill a LOT of time. Amazingly got a text within an hour that the house was ready - at about 11 am ! Kitchen is very well equipped and the grill worked great. Comfy beds and LOTS of towels on hand We will definitely be back !
