I prepaid one night at Alex Hotel & Spa through Hotels.com and arrived late evening expecting a quiet and comfortable stay. Instead, the hotel was completely locked and dark. There was no staff, no answer on the phone, and no response at all. I was left standing outside alone with my luggage after traveling from Da Nang.
While waiting, I checked reviews and found that other guests had experienced the same thing. This is clearly not a one-time mistake, but a pattern of irresponsible behavior. In my 57 years of life and extensive travels, I have never experienced anything like this.
I paid in full but was denied access to the room I had booked. No apology, no explanation, and no accountability. I was forced to find another hotel late at night in an unfamiliar place, causing stress and extra cost.
This is not hospitality. This is negligence and complete disrespect toward paying guests. Do not risk your time, money, or safety here. Stay somewhere else.
