Your Frogtown FarmHaus circa 1790 getaway with 2 foot stone walls in this amazing house, which has been in the family since 1923 with deeds tracing back to William Penn. It is secluded off Conestoga Ridge Scenic Byway with a beautiful view overlooking farmland, cows in the pasture, Cedar Run stream, pond, & Welsh Mountains, located between Churchtown & Blue Ball.

With 4 bedrooms, including 3 queen beds and 1 twin bed, there's plenty of space for you, including a reading room on the second floor. Master bedroom & one full bathroom are located on first floor. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub (upstairs has bathtub, too) shower, toilet, hair dryer, etc. House features all the essentials you need for a prefect stay with washing machine, dryer, WiFi, heating & central air conditioning.

There is plenty of space for you & your quests to relax, unwind, or start touring PA Dutch/Amish County & cooking. Close to Shady Maple Smorgasbord (largest in the country), market, gift shop, & Good’s Store.

Shady Maple Smorgasbord was recently voted the top buffet in the country by “USA Today” reader’s choice. In honor of our closest neighbors winning this award - Stay 5 or more consecutive nights at Frogtown FarmHaus & you will be rewarded with a $100 gift card to Shady Maple Farm Market, Smorgasbord, or Gift Shop.

You can make your own breakfast in a fully stocked kitchen (4 saddle bar stools) with combo coffee & Keurig pot, toaster, etc. Also, on the first floor is dining room, den/living room with smart TV, utility room & access to the covered front & back porch. Enjoy the sounds of rain (on the tin roof), geese & ducks on the pond, songbirds and the twilight sounds of frogs & “lightning” bugs/fireflies.


Nestled in a serene location, this property offers a tranquil retreat for your vacation.
We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our house & maybe, the sound of rain on the tin roof.
This is a working farm, you are welcome to observe, take pictures but the barn is off limits.
Outdoor games, books, puzzles, table games, etc. are available for you to use & enjoy.
Outside landscaping is a work in progress this Spring & Summer.

It feels like this place is our new “home away from home!” It literally has everything you could possibly need or want. Helen and Loren are amazing hosts and the cows are the best welcoming committee you could ever hope for. The house is spotless, the rooms are cozy, the kitchen is a dream, and the views are incredible. I seriously don’t have one negative about this house, which is why we continue to come back! Our new favorite memory is flying a kite in the yard with the cows cheering us on! The serenity is unmatched. Our daughter has even dubbed it, the hotel house. We will be back! Don’t second guess yourself, book this place immediately!

We had such a wonderful stay at this charming house in Pennsylvania! From the moment we arrived, the thoughtful touches made us feel right at home — the goodies on the counter and fresh milk in the fridge were such a treat. We especially loved sitting outside and watching the cows, which made the experience even more relaxing and memorable. The location was perfect and very convenient to our events. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming place to stay!

A beautiful restored old farmhouse! It was spotless and smelled fresh and clean. It is a working farm so we enjoyed watching the cows. The host was very attentive and answered quickly if there was a question. A basket of goodies awaited us including a gift card to Shady Maple Smorgasbord. This restaurant is about 1 mile away. The scenery at the farm is gorgeous and there are 2 porches to sit on and enjoy it. They have a well stocked kitchen and we enjoyed cooking together. There were plenty of fresh towels and washcloths. All of the beds were comfy and freshly made . All in all this is a lovely place to stay and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Lancaster Co.

Our stay was wonderful. The house was immaculate, and there were many homey touches, including a lovely basket with local jelly, apple butter, glow sticks & lots of pamphlets for local places. The home was exactly as described, with plenty of space for our party of 7. The kitchen was well stocked & we were able to find all that was needed to cook a meal.We loved being up close with the cows, seeing the Amish buggies go by, and just the peaceful setting. They had games, and even a croquet set, which we enjoyed!

Amazing place! Spotless, comfortable, and very beautiful. It is on, but separated from, a working farm with friendly cows you can pet. They are kept separate from the rental property by fences, so no worries about them intruding. Plenty of lighting everywhere, complete with night lights to aid in navigating the place in the middle of the night. Although the house is over 200 years old, the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry are all new. Convenient to all the interesting places Lancaster county has to offer, and a short drive to Gettysburg, Philadelphia, and for a longer outing (leave early in the morning), Chesapeake Bay. Helpful friendly hosts who give just the right amount of attention to you, without intruding on your privacy. In fact it was so nice, we even asked if we could extendour stay. Can’t recommend this place enough. Oh, one more thing: turn up the driveway with the frog town FarmHaus sign, not the other one.

This farm house (haus if you will) was INCREDIBLE! The house was so clean and looked very new inside! Lots of homey decor which makes you never want to leave. The farm is gorgeous and the cows frequently moo-ed a hello. Loren and his nephews were kind and let us see the cows across the street and give them some hay. We will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely time at this wonderful farm house!! Cows to see, geese in the pond, maybe a Blue Heron standing by the pond. The house was well stocked and supplied. We really liked the beds already made!! We felt like we were “home”!

The FarmHaus property is amazing! Very quaint and charming. The back porch offers amazing views of the fields and pond. Watch the workings of the farm itself from the front porch. The kids love the cows and birds! It is so quiet. We were overly impressed with all of the little amenities and personal notes and touches. The Internet service was great. The property was clean and so many small things provided- like a Keurig coffee pot and filters, laundry detergent, and wonderful hand soap in each restroom. The hosts were very available when we had a question. If you want to truly experience the area, skip a hotel and stay here!

I have called the Lancaster area Clop-Clop for years, as i love to hear the horses pass by. Staying in a restored rock house just intensified my experience! It was amazing! The home's personality was so inviting, and the restful porches were used to take in the beauty of the homestead. Thank you for this amazing vacation!!

Peaceful and relaxing

This was a unique vacation house…..very old and charming. There were cows in the barn that you could pet, and also see the cows and the geese while sipping a cold drink on the back porch. The lovely porch was also splendid for drinking a morning cup of coffee while waking for the day surrounded by nature. Everything was very clean and you had all the kitchen items that were needed. I highly recommend this house!One note: the stairs leading to the upstairs are very steep, but carpeted nicely and have a railing.

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay! The house was well done with plenty of information about the history of the house as well as fun things to do around Lancaster. My son loved waking up and running to see the cows every morning. It was a very peaceful place in the evening to wind down, loved the wind chimes on the back porch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was extremely clean and well furnished, kitchen was well stocked, property was gorgeous. There was ample space for 5 adults and 2 young children to sit and relax both indoors and outside. The house is situated far from the road so it was very quiet but we enjoyed seeing the buggies go by. My young grandchildren enjoyed visiting with the cows daily. We hope to return again next year to create new family memories.

Wonderful House! Beautiful Location!

Wow! What a superb experience we had at Frogtown Farmhaus! The historic house was bright and cozy, accommodating, well-appointed, and well-provisioned. We lacked for nothing while there. There were sufficient public spaces for our party of 6 (3 adults and 3 children) to enjoy being together and private spaces for more solitary moments when desired. The hosts/owners could not have been more gracious either. They kept in touch with us throughout the rental process, dropped by to greet us personally during our stay, and even provided a welcome basket full of local goodies. The grounds and nearby dairy farm were a HUGE hit with our grandkids (ages 7-10). They loved visiting with the cows, doing cartwheels, tumbling, and running all over the pastures adjoining the house, and flying kites. Though in a rural setting, the house is within easy driving distance to restaurants, shopping, and amusements (highly recommend Dutch Wonderland for this age children). For a peaceful and fun getaway, Frogtown Farmhaus can’t be beat!
