This well-appointed, modern, Nordic style chalet spans over 3 floors, and has 4+ bedrooms which can comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests. Inside you will discover stylish decor with repurposed materials and large bright windows in which to admire nature and take in the outstanding lake view. Step inside with your door code, and take your first look at the lake, through the unobstructed view across the cottage, through the floor to ceiling windows. Rest on the antique church pew to remove your shoes, then hang your coat in the closet with the antique barn door or on the authentic toboggan coat rack.

Feel at home on the upper floor, where a magnificent mezzanine serves as a cozy reading nook with throw blankets, ergonomic chairs with footstools, and a quaint “Take a book, leave a book” library. At night, look directly across the lake to the little village of Cayamant through the great windows, and see the blue lit cross of the town church lighting up the night. The open concept main floor common areas offer a breathtaking view of the backyard and lake. With its white-washed pine cathedral ceilings and 100+ year old hand-hewn beams, this NEW build will charm you with its rustic yet modern, tranquil feel.

The kitchen is well designed, functional and fully equipped with a central island covered in old, repurposed tin, and facilitates group meal preparation. A large wooden table invites 8 to dine and the floor to ceiling windows enhance mealtimes with family and friends. The staircase is a feast for the eyes. It is hand made with old barn beams, rustic pine boards and boasts a sleek and one of a kind metal conduit railing. On this floor, you will also find the spacious master bedroom with a cowhide focal wall, dresser, closet, ceiling fan, wireless phone chargers, plus a luxurious bathroom with a large glass shower, stone topped vanity and storage for your personal items. Next to the bathroom, find a fully equipped laundry room with a washer/dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, cleaning materials, a drying rack, step stool and extra kitchen amenities such as a Nutri bullet and Crock Pots.

The generous walk-out basement features a heated floor and bright windows. This second versatile living space is comprehensive yet cozy and the pull out sofa transforms it into a fifth bedroom when necessary. The final bedroom has three twin beds and luggage racks making this entire level perfect for multi family use or for a group of friends looking to spread out and find their own elbowroom. There is an entertainment area, with a Roku TV, DVD player, Atari gaming system, waterproof bluetooth speaker and an array of DVDs for guests of all ages. Children will particularly enjoy the kids area which is stocked with games, lego, books, a variety of activities, plus an air hockey table. An additional two piece bathroom makes it very simple to run in from outside for a quick pit stop before returning to the activities at hand. You will also find a private, designated work space, and a second refrigerator/freezer for your convenience. Just outside, a screened room with a comfortable conversation set and an amazing view of the lake will quickly become a favourite hangout.

The exterior offers multiple play and relaxation areas. Off the kitchen you will find double glass doors which open onto a 28’ x 12’ deck with a pergola, outdoor eating space, meal prep area, grill, lounge and Adirondack chairs. This large retreat has a set of stairs leading to the expansive yard with a gate to help keep pets and little ones safe. A second small covered deck, perfect for watching wildlife and listening to the breeze in the pines, can be found at the front of the cottage. After an adventurous day, relax by the fire with free firewood and listen to the song of the loons.

You can be as active or as settled as you choose with the available snowshoes, kayaks, paddleboat, canoe, stand up paddle boards, water floats and of course, the extensive dock and swimming area, perfect for diving into the tranquil Lac Cayamant waters. Bring your own motorized watercraft and take advantage of the free boat launch across the lake and the 7kms of nature just waiting to be explored. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the many kilometres of hiking/biking trails, and climbing Cayamant Tower for an expansive view of the entire lake. The south end of the lake has a large sandy beach and an island where many gather in their boats to frolic in the shallow water. The snowmobile and ATV trails are accessible directly from the cottage. Fishing is a favourite sport year round.
