On The Rocks is a condo in the Sunskipper community of Carolina Beach that offers one-of-a-kind ocean views and a community pool.

UPDATED PHOTOS COMING SOON - Deck furniture in photos is NOT correct, no longer a high-top table and chairs. There is a patio table and chairs. Beach access has changed as well.

Plenty of windows and natural light in this open floorplan offer ocean views from the spacious living area. Look out onto the oceanfront deck and immerse yourself in the sounds of the sea crashing on the rocks below. This is the perfect spot to catch the sunrise.

The Queen bedroom suite includes a private full bathroom, private deck, and smart TV with streaming options. The bunk bedroom offers a Twin over Twin Bunk and an additional Twin bed. The full bathroom off the hallway includes a tub/shower combo and a washer and dryer.

You’ll find several public beach accesses just minutes from the property, making it easy to enjoy the shoreline whenever you’d like. Please note that beach rocks and access are managed by the City of Carolina Beach and are outside of our control. There is not a private beach access at this property.

Head down to the boardwalk for the seasonal fireworks, charter a fishing trip at the nearby marina, or visit the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Carolina Beach offers something for all your friends and family to experience!

Parking instructions:
2 unassigned spots underneath the building, parking passes required to be displayed. Passes are to be left on kitchen counter. Please do not block vehicles with other units in. No additional parking passes can be provided due to strict HOA rules and regulations. Any additional vehicles must park in paid public parking.

**INCLUDED: WIFI, fully stocked kitchen, paper goods and ALL linens, including all bedding + bath + beach towels to save you the hassle/cost of renting them separately ($200-300+ value)! When you arrive, beds will be made with crisp, fresh linens and complete sets of fluffy towels will be available. Beach chairs, cooler and boogie boards are also available for guest use.

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property.

Please notify our office if you're planning to bring a pet as the following pet policy will apply: A maximum of 2 pets are permitted. ONLY DOGS ARE ALLOWED. The pet fee is $250 plus tax per pet. A pet fee will be added after booking. No dogs are allowed without prior approval and payment of a non-refundable pet fee, per pet. Undisclosed dogs will incur a minimum $300 fine plus tax. Violation of our 2-pet maximum policy will incur a minimum of $300 plus tax charge, per pet, plus the tenant will be in material breach of the lease, and grounds for eviction will apply. The pet must be removed from the premises immediately, and your reservation may be canceled with no refund given.

**Please note:  All service animals & emotional support animals must be disclosed at the time of booking to allow the agent to collect records and documentation to support the request in accordance with all state and federal laws. A pet fee will NOT be charged for true Service Animals.**

From April 1st – Sept. 30, dogs are allowed on the beach before 9:00 am and after 5:00 pm. No dogs are allowed on the beach between 9:00 am -5:00 pm. From October 1st – May 31st, dogs are allowed on the beach at any time.

Sea Scape requires that all reservations have a signed rental agreement that will be sent to you via text message after booking. Once you've booked your stay, you will have 48 hrs. to complete the rental agreement to confirm your stay. Sea Scape reserves the right to cancel your booking if the rental agreement is not completed within 48hrs.

Beautiful views, and just as pictured. The beach access is further down from house than expected. The walls, floors, ceilings are thin and i could hear the upstairs guests which woke my family up early.

First family trip after life changed

This was our first family vacation as a family of four and our first time to North Carolina and the Atlantic. The condo was a perfect space right on the beach! We loved how close we were to the beach and relatively close we were to most of the things we wanted to do. The condo was clean, easy to check in to, and had plenty of space. Fans in the rooms would have been a nice things. We bought one for our stay. Also, coffee filters and some basic cooking supplies would be good- oil, basic seasonings, etc. We really enjoyed the condo and our stay!!

Swimming pool not included! Beware! Description is wrong.

Three days of noisy pressure washing and painting on the exterior porches disturbing the relaxing vacation, Painters climbing onto the front porch and back porch, on several days! Plus the listing claims there is a pool. Management could not come up with a security fob for access to the pool. Six days without pool access. The pool was an important part of our vacation decision, and it was not available. In addition there is no rinse-off, spigot, hose or shower to rinse sand off your feet before entering the condo, so the condo stays sandy no matter how much you sweep.

Incredible view. High ceilings. Perfect Locale.

As the title reads. It is a great unit. I did encounter a rather large oversight regarding cleanliness, but the hosts did a lot to make it right, and they respected me throughout the process.Highly recommended.

Comfortable but has quirks

Inside condo was clean but entry/stairs up to it were not. Front door very hard to close and lock and needs replacing. Could not find shower/hose in parking area to wash off sand from beach. Inconvenient and confusing garbage/recycling dumpsters. AC unit VERY noisy in master suite. Beach umbrella in storage shed was broken and unusable. Beds in guest bedroom were hard and uncomfortable. A lot of stairs--elevator would be very helpful. Need high top table on balcony to see over railing. Never found pool but pool key was left by someone on the floor outside the front door in the hallway. Need broom available to sweep up sand. Nice kitchen but simple items like salt/pepper would be helpful. (We left some there.) Unfortunately a stemmed wine glass broke during our visit. Provide map for pool, dumpsters and shower/hose. Trash and feces (from dog or animal) in the parking area. The view and location are beautiful. I don't want to be negative but these suggestions would help improve a vacation. For the price we paid ($2,100 for 3 nights), we shouldn't have had these issues. Thank you.

I would have Captains chairs on deck facing ocean. Get your view higher. Sitting low around the table hinders your view. I would also add a tub to dip your feet at the bottom of the stairs. Cuts back sand tracked in

Short vacay.

Very nice condo. Clean and have what you need for a stay. I would suggest more dishes and glasses but it was fine. The only bad part and this is no fault of owner/management, is the stairs. Otherwise perfect.

February Beach Getaway

Thought it would be nice to getaway with the family since my kinds were tracked out. We loved the open floor plan from the kitchen to the living room and eating area. The kitchen was modern and had majority of the tools needed to make our meals. We had an issue with the sink since it was clogged and things started to back up. The property managers did send someone out to look at the sink. The maintenance person could not figure out where the clog was coming from and we had to wait until the next day for the plumber to come out and resolve our clog issue. Needless to say, it was a pain to wash dishes since we could not use the dishwasher and it took a long time to drain the sink. Communication with the property manager was not that great. The master bedroom need to update the bed from a full to at least a queen. There is enough room for a King. The bed was very squeaky. It was not very comfortable and I wind up sleeping on the living room couch. The view was amazing and we enjoyed our time looking out to the ocean. If it was warmer, I would have spent most of my time out there. I would have given it 5 stars if it were not for the squeaky bed and poor communication with the property manager.

The condo has a perfect location at the end of the island with walking distance to the pier. The sliding doors in the living room welcome the ocean right in. Having the beach gear available saved room in the car. The outdoor furniture was faded, rusted, and jagged. It needs replaced. The inside was clean but the balcony had cockroaches. We were welcomed one afternoon with 80 degrees in the condo due the thermostat dying. This was during non office hours and we were forced to replaced the batteries on our own. The requirements for checking out were to ensure there was no sand on anything but there wasn’t an area to clean off sand when returning from the beach. I am unsure of why I had to pay a cleaning fee when I did the most cleaning. The checking in process was easy. You are given a code to enter the condo. The door doesn’t lock very well, the key pad may need new batteries.

Beachfront beauty`

We had a wonderful stay. The view of the beach is spectacular, and the condo is roomy and clean. I'll echo the calls for a king-size bed in the master bedroom -- that would make a big difference, and it could use another lamp in there also. Otherwise, it was amazing!

We loved the view and access to the beach! The floor plan was perfect! We will book here again.

This is a great location. The view and proximity to the beach were amazing! I’ll definitely book again here. It was spacious, nicely decorated, had great windows with ample amenities and the furniture and floor plan layout was perfect!! I would suggest making a couple of improvements: The main bedroom was very spacious and there should be a king bed instead of double. The mattresses were not comfortable at all. Also, the main bathroom sink was backing up. Need to replace the very old oven. It didn’t work. We did appreciate having the toaster oven. This next comment is obviously no one’s fault, but due to Hurricane Ian, we had to completely pack up and leave Friday morning because the winds and tides were high, water began to flood into the garage and the condo started swaying. We had to stay somewhere else overnight due to flooding and we couldn’t get back in until Saturday afternoon. When we returned, we saw that there was a leak in the ceiling above the beach side sliding glass door and found ceiling stucco on the floor. We bought insurance so we’re going to see about getting reimbursed for Friday night. Other than that, we loved it and we’ll be back. Probably not during hurricane season, however. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful, but....

Lovely building on outside. Absolutely wonderful location with a stupendous view. Not so impressed by the appearance of the stairwell. Doors and walls could use sprucing up and new carpeting as well. Also, the numbering of the individual units could be clearer, instead of just written on a piece of paper with ink. But, we can read so we figured it out. Lol. An outside shower so you can wash off the sand would have been appreciated!! That would greatly help the appearance of the stairwell. Plus, cut down on the sand tracked into the condo. Interior was very clean, new flooring, and living room furniture that was bright and comfy. However, the kitchen needs an update. Especially the countertops. But, on the positive, the unit was fully equipped with paper products, clothes and dish detergents, beach equipment that was abundant and more than sufficient for a day on the beach. That was all very generous on the part of the owners. Biggest negative--the master bedroom mattress! Awful. Especially on one side. It would sink down and not support even the lightest person. For reference, I weigh 109 lbs and my husband 175. The frame squeaked. And, worst of all, the mattress was wrapped in an egg crate foam topper with heavy plastic holding it all together. Everytime either my husband or I rolled over trying to find a comfortable spot, the bed would creak, the plastic would crinkle. Also, the bed is only a queen. This room definitely could support a king and make this unit the castle is should be. My husband ended up sleeping on the sofa. I toughed it out on the good (not so good) side. Plus, this trip was our anniversary. So, consequently, as you can guess, not my dream idea of a romantic getaway. Want to come back next year, because there are so many positives. But, would have to know there was a new mattress in the master bedroom first. Please. Please. Buy a new mattress!! King size!

Clean, great view however terrible neighbors

The property was clean and decorated nicely. The ocean view was perfect! Unfortunately, the upstairs neighbors were incredibly loud and we ended up leaving a day early as a result. If they had been respectful then I would have given this 5 stars!

lovely setting.. a few rough edges

the unit is as described and having two balconies was wonderful! It allowed us to be outside most of our stay. But.. check in and check out was stressful. the old keybox sticks and we had been given no instructions so it took 20 min to get it opened. check out is PROMPT at 10. we found a woman waiting for us to leave at 9:55 and felt VERY rushed to leave. not a good way to end a lovely vacation. I really appreciated that we could bring the family dog! But We had two unpleasant encounters with unleashed and aggressive dogs so please exercise caution if you bring your family pet. while we may be back to that area I will leave my dog at home.

Overall a great stay!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay!! The owners gave great restaurant recommendations and were helpful to us! The property was quiet, and this area of Carolina Beach was family oriented. The condo had everything we needed, and more! Great equipped kitchen, and our kids loved the bunks! The rocks in front of the property did take away from the beach area a little, but that's not the property's fault, and even at high tide, there was still room for the canopy, chairs, etc. A few minor repairs (drywall had been repaired, but not painted, etc) that needed to be complete to make it 5 stars. Would give 4.5 if I could.

Location location location

This condo is in a great location with easy walking to the Carolina beach boardwalk. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions and was great to work with. Coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening on the ocean front deck was just what we needed.
