The house is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. It worked, and the owners were very responsive and allowed us to check in early at no extra charge, which we appreciated. However, several issues affected our stay. We booked this cabin for a winter trip and the full cabin experience. A fire pit was listed as an amenity, but after arrival we were told it could not be used due to a past incident. While understandable, it should not be advertised if it’s unavailable, as we booked and paid expecting to use it.The washer and dryer were also advertised and were a major reason we chose this home, especially traveling with three kids. We used the hot tub and went to the snow expecting to wash clothes and dry bathing suits. Being offered reimbursement to use a laundromat is not a realistic solution while on vacation in a small town. Had we known this in advance, we would have booked elsewhere. There were also safety and supply concerns. The staircase was missing a newel post/rod, leaving an opening that posed a safety hazard for young children. Because of this, we spent the entire weekend being extra cautious instead of fully relaxing. Additionally, the house lacked basic essentials: very few blankets for a cold cabin stay, only two regular drinking glasses for seven people, and just 4–5 towels total despite having a hot tub.Overall, the home is lovely and the hosts are responsive, but unavailable advertised amenities, safety concerns, and lack of basic supplie made this a 3/5 stay
