The first room we were assigned to was next to a long term resident who had cats living in their room. I saw a cat in their window and the litter outside — which is fine — except our room next door smelled so strongly of cat droppings and litter that it was nauseating. I asked for our room to be moved and I was accommodated, but the next room we were assigned to had a different, yet strong, odor, and was dilapidated. The room looked next to nothing like the photos, except for the orange wall. It was dirty, there were cigarette burns in the quilt, there were black and brown scrapes and scratches all over the walls and floors, splatters by the trash can, bugs in the corner of the ceiling, and the bathroom mirror was coming apart. We decided to cut our losses and check into a different hotel that same day. I am very, very confused as to why anyone would rate this hotel anything more than one star. I would like to add I am an extremely go-with-the-flow person and I never cause a ruckus. I knew it was a motel 6, I was not expecting luxury, but I was expecting what was in the photos, and this was not it. If you are thinking of staying here for the cheap price, I highly recommend splurging an extra couple dollars to stay at any other hotel.
