I’ve stayed at this house several times over the years, and each time, it feels like coming home. My most recent visit was in late March, 2017 - right after the World Cup finals left town. The snow was great, and it was a thrill to ski the legendary “America’s Downhill” course on Ajax with the dye still visible from the gate markings! After a great day of skiing (or hiking or biking or any kind of outdoor fun), coming back to this house adds a whole new dimension to your Aspen experience. It feels as if you’re on top of the world, with a spectacular panoramic vista encompassing all four Aspen ski areas and the jagged peaks beyond. As the sun sets, the high peaks change colors, from dazzling white to soft pink to deep purple – an amazing light show. Step out on the deck at night, and you’ll see the Milky Way above and the lights of Aspen twinkling down below. It’s a relaxing and magical setting in every way. But the surprising thing is, it’s an easy, five-minute drive into town. The house itself is perfect for any type of group: couples, families, gatherings of friends, etc. The luxurious bedroom/bathroom suites are all widely separated from each other, so they’re quiet and private. Each is well supplied with homey comforts. Everything flows together into a huge common area, with plenty of spaces for socializing, dining, watching TV, hanging out in front of the fire, whatever. The kitchen is large and well-appointed. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. This spectacular house will do far more than just “provide accommodations” for your visit – it will enhance your Aspen experience and give you many great memories for years to come. Enjoy!
