ABOUT THE RENTAL
Situated on 100 feet of private frontage on Pickerel Lake, this cozy cottage is ready for you to come relax! The main floor features an open floor plan with the living room, kitchen, and dining area overlooking the lake. (Fireplace non-operational) Enjoy meals and drinks indoors or out on the back deck with seating for six or at the picnic table located by the lakefront itself. One full bathroom found on the main level for great convenience. Take the wood staircase up to find the main bedroom with a king bed and large deck, perfect for morning coffee overlooking the lake! The second bedroom is also located in the upper level with two sets of twin bunk beds. The second full bathroom with laundry located off the two bedrooms. Dock for jumping into the water to swim, outdoor firepit for bonfires and smores, mooring for your boat and yard space to play – what more could you ask for on your summer vacation?
This cottage is a quick trip to many exquisite resort towns like Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Indian River. But don’t limit your trips to those – Mackinaw City and the Mackinac Island are a quick day trip too! Located close to Petoskey State Park, Burt Lake State Park, and plenty of unique stores and restaurants! Something for everyone in your group!

*This property allows two dogs, maximum. A non-refundable $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged per pet.

Great place to stay!

This is a great place to stay to enjoy the inland waterway. Very quiet lake and can watch the sunset from the middle of the lake. We took the inland waterway to the Cheboygan river and had a few great days of boat trips from this location.

Summer fun

We really enjoyed our stay, Kayaked, paddle boarded, floated on the water, It was very peaceful. We did bring a memory foam mattress topper because we remembered from last year the bed feeling pretty firm and that helped a lot. The house was well stocked with what you need in the kitchen, except for a frying pan - a quick text to the property manager resolved the issue immediately. i highly recommend this property and would stay again.

Great Summer Getaway

We had a great time staying in this cottage. The cottage is very well stocked and equipped. The owners have thought of everything. We enjoyed the lake, the fire pit and the nice deck. It was an added benefit that our dog Moxie could join us on our summer vacation. Overall a great getaway.

Great place for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

Wonderful place for a family vacation. The house was very clean and stocked. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, which was clear and seaweed free. The lake is pretty quiet and the views are beautiful. Downtown Petoskey is only 15-20 min away. We will definitely be back!

Very relaxing

Very clean home in a very quiet neighborhood. The back was a plus with tons of open land so there were lots of deer to look. The fire pit was very large and peaceful to sit around looking out at the lake.

Beautiful lakeside home

Met all expectations. It was just as described on site. It was especially nice that linens were provided Great base location enabled easy access to Mackinac island, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Harbor Springs, Torch Lake etc. We enjoyed the fire pit and also swimming in the lake from the dock.

Very relaxing

The place was immaculate. We really enjoyed being outside the whole week. We brought our kayaks and paddle boards and used both almost everyday. We did go on 2 longer bike rides one into Harbor Springs starting at the fishery and one into Petoskey The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and prep our meals. The grocery store in Conway was a great place to pick up groceries. We are hoping to come back next summer. Highly recommend!

Fantastic!!!

What a gem! We found the house clean and welcoming. We have stayed at several cottages over the past few years, this one was far and away the most thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need. Beautiful lake is steps away. Wonderful spot to kayak and bird watch. Bald eagles and Northern Flickers abound. Owners are attentive and helpful. 25-30 minute drive to Petosky and Harbor Springs. Highly recommended!

Nice lake view

Very clean and beautiful interior. Great kitchen and storage. Back decks (upper and lower) great for watching lake. Very nice Sandy bottom lake front that is almost entirely free of reeds and deep enough for bringing a boat in close. We typically rent in Petoskey to be closer to family living there and this was a great alternative week for us - much quieter than the city. Internet is DSL with only 1-2 mbps and connecting can be intermittent if that’s important to you.

Even Better Than Last Year!

We love staying at this house, the owners are fantastic, the house is fully stocked and in the best location, close to everything you love about the Petoskey area. We rented a boat and wave runners from the local marina and had a blast tubing, fishing and wave runnering. It was the perfect combo of fun and relaxation. Can’t wait to come back next summer!

Clean and comfortable

This cabin was such a great place for my family and I to spend a week in Michigan! It was beautifully decorated and very well stocked. The dock/mooring access was so perfect for keeping our rental boat. We explored the nearby rivers and lakes, such as Burt Lake, Crooked River, Pickeral Lake and much more! We visited local shops and restaurants, had campfires and swam off the dock in addition to lots of boating! Dove was so helpful and so kind! We had an amazing experience at this cabin and would definitely recommend!

Lake getaway

We enjoyed the house and property. The house was clean and well supplied. The lake was fabulous for swimming, boating and fishing. We took our boat through the Alanson lock and went into Burt lake. What an enjoyable trip. Just wish we had more time.

Wonderful Cottage

We were really happy with our stay at this amazing cottage. It was exactly what was described in the listing and the pictures. It was so well stocked in the kitchen, as well as the bathrooms, linens, etc. It was very clean, also. The property managers were very helpful and very nice to deal with. The location was perfect, the lake was great, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We were sad to have to leave. We would live to return sometime.

Peaceful Getaway

We loved our stay and plan on returning. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house was everything we needed. If you just want to relax and enjoy the lake this is the place for you. If you want to eat out every night this might not be the best choice. The house is only a short drive (10 minutes) into Alanson but there was really only one restaurant and a Dairy Queen. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with standard items plus a stand mixer, food processor, immersion blender and Keurig. We did not have mobility issues but the stairs are a bit steep to the second floor and on the porch down to the yard. My husband was really happy to have the storage area to store his bicycle at the back of the garage.

Northern Michigan Pet Friendly Gem

Wonderful experience from the moment we reserved. Dove Day was very helpful with any questions. The house was gorgeous, clean, and fully stocked with necessities. Just bring groceries and your good to go. Property located on a more quieter lake which was perfect for kayaking and fishing. Your located near all the popular sites. I would definitely rent again. Beautiful area for boating

Everything was great, Not much room on property for maneuvering boats, tuff getting in and out and the boat launch is on the other side of lake. Other than that we had a great time the home was perfect!!!

Great quiet place!

This was our second time staying here and both times were great. We love how quiet and peaceful it is and plan to return next summer. Very clean and great location. Property managers are pleasant to deal with. Our (my wife’s) only compliant is the mattress in the master is too firm for her liking.

Amazing!!

We just returned from our stay at this beautiful home. It was just as pictured, the home was well stocked and had everything we needed. Our kids claimed this as one of our best vacations and they have been everywhere! We rented a boat from a nearby marina and enjoyed our days tubing and cruising the inland chain of lakes. Close to so many places, we managed to visit a couple of our favorites in Petoskey and Harbor Springs. We are already planning our trip back here for next year.

Great Rental!!!!!

Beautiful lake views and a very well stocked home. Nothing was needed and all supplies were there. The home is new and very clean and quiet neighborhood. Only drawback is that we were looking to use the dock which was quite wobbly in certain areas. Also there was no tv service in master bedroom which was not stated on site although there was a dvd player and hundreds of movies to pick from which was nice....watched a lot of great movies! Also the furniture was new and clean which can be hard to find in rentals....They had EVERYTHING! It was like being in my own home!
