Peaceful Southern Pines Getaway – Near Golf, Carolina Horse Park, & Fort Bragg

Unwind in our cozy 2-bedroom guest house, set on a peaceful 7-acre property in Southern Pines. This home comfortably sleeps 6, with each bedroom featuring its own bathroom and a comfortable bed for a restful night’s sleep. An additional overflow sleeping area with a daybed and trundle provides extra space.

The open living space includes a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for home-cooked meals, including a Keurig coffee maker (coffee and snacks provided). Relax in the cozy living room with plush electric recliners and Smart TV, or step outside to enjoy the large garden, spacious yard, and ample outdoor seating. A solo stove fire pit and a charcoal grill (available upon request) are perfect for evening gatherings. You may even spot our friendly chickens wandering around, adding to the homestead charm.

Our property offers plenty of yard space for outdoor play while maintaining a quiet, private atmosphere. We are just 5 minutes from downtown Southern Pines, where you’ll find an array of restaurants, shops, and local charm. Pinehurst Resort and its renowned golf courses are 20 minutes away, with other top courses like Talamore Golf Resort and Pine Needles Lodge nearby. Equestrian enthusiasts will appreciate that Carolina Horse Park is a 10 minute drive, while the 4,000-acre Walthour-Moss Foundation with its equestrian trails is just minutes away. For nature lovers, the Weymouth Woods Nature Preserve is within walking distance, offering serene hiking trails through old-growth pine forests. Fort Liberty is only a 30-minute drive from the property.

In addition to vacationers, we welcome traveling nurses and other professionals, as Moore Regional Hospital is a short drive away.

With family-friendly amenities like Wi-Fi, Smart TV, books, games, toys, and live plants, this is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Private parking is available, and guests are asked to keep outdoor noise down after 10 PM.

The house was very clean and inviting. Loved how peaceful it was. All we could hear at night were the crickets outside chirping. Loved the arcade games for our teen boys. The beds were so comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in the area.

Amazing place to stay!

We could not have asked for a better property to stay at. Tom and Jackie were amazing hosts. The house was very roomy and clean. Lots of space to relax like you should when you are on vacation. We had a wonderful time and if we go back we will definitely stay there again!

Graduation

We were very happy with this quaint, country home. Such a comfortable and spacious place. We came for a highschool graduation and had such a good time. The hosts were awesome and let us pet their dogs, cats and chickens. :)We were welcomed with snacks, drinks and fresh farm eggs. Such a nice touch. Highly recommend this and hope to be able to visit again. Southern Pines is such a great place.

Great stay for families on beautiful property

Our family of 5 had an awesome time at this property. A welcome basket was provided that included local beers and fresh eggs from the chickens. Our kids loved the old arcade games and it was nice having Netflix, Disney plus etc on the tvs. Plenty of dishes and kitchen stuff to cook your own meals. Location is great for exploring southern pines. The hosts were super friendly and let our young kids help with the chickens and they provided some kids activities in the house. Check in and out was super easy and host communicated fast. The property is set back off of the road and surrounded by trees so feels secluded other than the hosts house. Overall this is one of the best houses we’ve stayed in and would highly recommend, especially for families. nearby.

Horse show wknd

The property was clean and very spacious! The owners are a joy; great communicators, helped us out by lending us chairs since we forgot ours, and provided us with delicious fresh eggs and a beer sampler that helped us decide which local places to eat! The dogs are so friendly and will only visit you if you want them to! This was a gem to discover because it’s one of the only places to stay close to the Carolina horse park, and it is a wonderful place to stay!

Wonderful & so Peaceful

I was visiting my son and 2 young grandchildren from out of state and attend another grandchild's highschool performance in a musical. We so enjoyed and appreciate the time the owners gave us showing the kids the chickens, turkeys and sweet loving dogs!! Allowing the kids to assist in gathering eggs was a big hit and so much fun for us all and made for a great breakfast as well. This was a wonderful place to stay and i hope they will add pictures of the outside showing the chickens, turkeys and their precious dogs right next to this great guest house.

Away from the crowded areas

Being the first to stay at this VRBO, we found it to be very relaxing. The location is far enough away from the center of activities in the area but close enough to easily reach most any golf course in the area. It is apparent that the owners of the property have many improvements and updates in mind and given their status as military veterans, they will accomplish what they intend to do. At present, the accommodations are minimalist in nature yet more than adequate for a couple of golfers looking to just eat, sleep and relax after 18 holes. The owners are not intrusive in any way.
