Perfect home away from home!

Our stay at Salida Sol was delightful. The house itself is very comfortable, colorful, light-filled and spacious. Everything you need is provided. Outside, the wrap-around deck provides a wonderful space to enjoy a sunny morning coffee or a quiet evening enjoying the stars, a view of Tenderfoot (S) Mountain and listening to the soft trickle of the creek which passes by the house. The house is located within an easy walk to downtown Salida while the Monarch Spur Trail takes you to the Arkansas River in minutes. We would happily stay here again in the future. The hosts, Caleb and Dan, were helpful and quick to respond while we negotiated a change to our stay. Thank you!

Comfortable Stay, No Hot Tub

This property listed a hot tub as a searchable amenity. However on arrival there was no hot tub. I contacted the property owner with the issue and attached a screen shot of the property posting clearly listing a hot tub under the amenities. The property owner did not acknowledge the mistake but continued to assume I made a mistake with booking. I felt this lacked professionalism. Otherwise the property was as stated and we had a comfortable stay.

Fantastic efficient 1 bedroom

Cute southwest décor 1 bedroom home. Good location to bakery, market and restaurants. Salida has a pretty downtown park for strolling and watching activities.

Great place and location!

Location, location, location! Literally a 5 minute walk to all the cool places in downtown Salida. We walked most of the time except when we went up the mountain or to visit neighboring areas. The place was cozy, spacious for the size and everything you need for a nice stay in Salida. Highly recommend! Thank you -

Ideal spot for adventure and rest - without needing a car!

Wow! What a comfortable place to stay. Right in the heart of town - it was a treat to WALK to the grocery (across the street), or stroll down the Monarch Spur Trail to the waterfront 2 blocks away. We had zero need to move our car the entire time. Trails for walking, hiking, running, riding are out the front door. The beautiful mural and electric charging station was a cool thing to observer across the street as well. The waterfront was cool and beautiful. It seems to be the heart of town, and we loved spending the warm afternoons cooling off in the water and resting in the shade. The home was perfect for us. Bright, open, airy and well organized. A perfect base camp. The laundry and full kitchen made it even more comfortable. The pictures were spot-on.

Spacious rental in Salida convenient to downtown businesses

The location was perfect for Salida! Shopping and dining was all within walking distance. The property was adjacent to the Monarch Spur Trail. Also had a great view of the big "S" at the end of Spiral Drive.

Loved the place and the town!

Walkable to restaurants, river, shopping. We wish we had a chance to spend more time. Washer and dryer was a plus! Close to river rafting, hot springs and hiking.

Nice Location

Nice location close to downtown Salida. A couple items to note: - There is only street parking available. If you have a lot of items to bring in the home (coolers, bikes, bags, etc.), you have to walk up a short dirt path and metal stairs to get up to the front door. Not the most convenient. - Bed sheet were dirty on arrival... There was another set in the laundry/bathroom that I had to use. The dryer had towels in it from I'm guessing the previous occupants... - There is no AC in the property... It was very warm in the house during my stay.

Cozy, Clean, Colorful & Convenient!

Salida Sol provides the perfect home away from home for visitors to Salida. Located right on the Monach Spur Trail, this cozy house is just a couple blocks away from historic downtown and the Arkansas River. Parks, restaurants, breweries, distilleries and shops are within easy walking distance, and great hiking trails can be found just a short drive away. The home itself is very clean and incredibly cozy. High ceilings, skylights and numerous windows give the space a light-filled, airy feel, and the colorful walls and furnishings lend it a fun, southwest vibe. A spacious bathroom and adjoining room allow plenty of space to spread out - a nice feature when you're living out of a suitcase! Initially, we were worried about the lack of air conditioning, but we needn't have been. The ceiling fans kept the place comfortable, and it was a great space to come home to after a long hike. We were extremely satisfied with our stay at Salida Sol, and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely stay in Salida

Lovely one bedroom, smal home, perfect for the two of us. We walked to dinner every evening. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We will stay here again.

Very convenient and comfortable.

We stayed here for 3 nights during the memorial day weekend. We brought our bikes and we enjoyed bike path a lot. House was very clean and stocked everything we needed. Washing machine / dryer were very useful and there were plenty of detergents and papers. We really liked staying here because it’s really close to everything in Salida. We shopped at Safeway and Natural grocer and cooked at home. So many restaurants were in the walking distance too. We will comeback again! Thanks!!

We found this home to be charming and well equally for our stay.

We ready liked the location right on bike path, across from Safeway and close to river and city center. The decks were nice for hanging out at night and inside was spacious for 2 people. It’s a great find and Caleb was very responsive.

Perfection!

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and decided to stay here -what a great decision! This house is located so close to downtown that you can easily walk and enjoy all the fun things that Salida has to offer! It was very clean, well organized and comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

Delightful location

This place was perfect for us! Almost in the heart of Historic Downtown. Deer walked by each evening along the walking trail that leads to the river, and all the shops and restaurants.

Very Comfortable

Great location! Very clean! Charming!

Our family of 4 rented the Salida Sol property for a ski trip to Monarch. It was a great place w all the amenities one could need. We also loved the location, it’s about a block from Downtown Salida. You could not ask for a better location for a trip to the Salida area! Highly recommend!
