A memorable and comfortable lakeside vacation is waiting for you and your family at this newly remodeled, second-story house inside of a small, family friendly RV park.

We recently added new appliances, windows, carpets and more! It's all spiffed up and just waiting for you to enjoy. So, why not take advantage of our weekly rental deal of 20% off a seven-night stay? It works out as a free night. That's one more night of enjoyment in a peaceful home by the lake away from all the stressors of life.

Like to fish? Well, stay at this lakeside house and the fun of beautiful Big Lake in Richmond, MN is only a few steps away! A large variety of fish such as walleye, bluegill, catfish, sunfish, bass, northern pike, and bullheads are waiting! A fish cleaning house is also available for your convenience.

Not interested in fishing? That’s OK, because swimming and boating in the clear, zebra mussel free waters of Big Lake awaits! It's an awesome lake to enjoy all year long in many ways.

Hungry or thirsty? Just head downstairs! The bar and restaurant of Hidden Acres RV Park is open from Thursday to Sunday. To respect your comfort, we close down the bar by 11:00 p.m. to maintain a peaceful night for our guests.

Also, take advantage of the opportunity to rent our pontoon or one of our fishing boats. We have half-day and full day rentals. And if you want to bring one of your own boats, the boat launch area is available for your use, and we will find a place to tie up your boat on our brand-new docks.

After a fun day of experiencing the fantastic outdoors, just sit out on the lovely deck and enjoy your favorite beverage as you take in the beautiful sunset and hear the enchanting calls of the loons.

Easy to check in using lock box. House is spacious with three bedrooms and a large kitchen and living room. The house was clean and included everything we needed. Owner is friendly and helpful. We did not use any of the other amenities other than staying at the house as we were there for a family reunion.

Week-Long Homebase

My friend with her girls and mother stayed with me here and we used it for our home base for a week long stay for the Bluegrass Jam Camp and festival in Richmond. It worked so well for us! Because it's over a bar/restaurant the kids could be as loud and jump around as much as they wanted! The unit is well stocked, and when we ran out of towels and TP Pat the property manager washed them all and brought them back quickly. He had the door unlocked and AC on when I arrived, and Gloria helped me carrry all my stuff upstairs to the unit. Great stay - close to festival, Richmond, Cold Sprin, Paynesville - we'd stay there again! Thanks!

Spacious Home

This is our second year staying here. It has a lot of space and it has everything you need for your time there. Check-in is easy. We spent most of our days at my sister's nearby cabin and used this rental as a place for sleeping and breakfasts. It is located above a bar/restaurant, but we did not have any issues with noise. We did not use any of the other amenities so I can not comment on those.

Richmond Gem

Richmond, MN is about a 1 hour drive from Mpls. But once you get there, it's small town Americana. Great places for breakfast and dinner. And just a great small-town vibe. An that's what this property has... It's a 5-star elite rental, tucked into the lake country of Central Minnesota. This property is perfection at its best. Air conditioning, large screen TV's, first class appliances... Comfortable beds and ample space for everyone. What more do you need? And, oh, by the way, how about a clean, crisp lake with great swimming and fishing that's less than 100 yards from your door. Do you want more? How about a great bar/restaurant right next door. A restaurant that has an extensive menu at neighborly prices. Look, we all want value in everything we spend our money on. Consider Hidden Acres for your next get away. And you'll come home with a big smile on your face, and maybe even a few more dollars in your wallet.

Relaxing home away from home

My son and his family and I spent Labor Day Weekend in the cabin over the restaurant. It was exceptionally well equipped! Air fryer, crock pot, cast iron pan, extra everything like towels, linens, toothbrushes, and blankets was at our fingertips. The house was super clean and well decorated. The girls (7 and 4) loved all the games that were there and the adults cooked and relaxed on the deck. It was a great vacation!

Very Nice 3 Bedroom Rental

This upstairs lake house was very nice. It is newly remodeled, clean and had a lot of space. The kitchen was very well supplied with whatever you might need. We stayed with six adults and had plenty of space. We were in the area to visit relatives, so did not use the lake or other amenities. The house is close to the lake so there is easy access. We would stay here again if we are in the area visiting.

Perfect place for our vacation!

Staying in this cabin at Big Lake was perfect for us this year. Usually our extended family comes to Minnesota, but this year it was just my husband, his parents, and me. The cabin was a perfect size to give everyone space but also enjoy time together. It was stocked with all we could need and more. We caught quite a few fish even though it was late in the season to fish. Everyone at the resort was extremely friendly and very responsive to any need or question. My husband and I watched very little TV but I liked the streaming availability on the TVs. It was difficult, though, for my elderly parents-in-law to figure out the streaming TV. That was the only negative. If we have a party of 6 or fewer in the future we will be back!

Family get away

Great family vacation spot!

Our family stayed here for a week and had a fantastic time! The owner Pat was great along with all the people at the RV park. We were spoiled rotten by all! If your looking for 100% seclusion this is not your place, although during the week the place is very very peaceful and quiet. It may be above the local RV park bar but nobody bothers you and are all welcoming if you want company 😊 they also respect the upstairs and we’re never to loud or annoying. We had a great time and definately will stay again - they have everything you need and if they don’t just ask and they will accommodate. We can’t wait to see the improvements that they plan to make! The pontoon and boat worked great we caught a lot of northern, bass, sunnies, and bluegill. Keep up the great work guys can’t wait to visit again!

Nice cabin by the water

This was a cute cabin located pretty close to the water. Our only complaints were that it was located above the bar and right in the middle of the RV community so it was always grand central station right at our spot. We felt a little bit like being in a fish bowl the whole time and we felt rude for not acknowledging all the people sitting right outside our cabin every time we walked by. I don’t fault the owner or anyone for any of this, but we really wished we had more privacy and our own space where we weren’t right next to a bunch of strangers all the time. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but now we know what we’re not comfortable with for our next VRBO.
