Perfect MV Vacation Home

I recently stayed in this lovely OB home with my family. It was me and 9 other people, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The photos are accurate. The pool was clean and heated. The house is located in a private, wooded area but conveniently located to OB, Edgartown, the airport and beaches. The interior/furniture were so cozy. The house came equipped with enough plates, dishes, pots, pans, utensil, towels, etc. It would be helpful if the house came with a book of instructions, so we'd be able to locate the pool light, operate the grill, etc. I would book this same house again upon return to Oak Bluffs

Our Stay

The property is in a great location. The pool and backyard are lovely and private. The furnishings on the main level are in desparate need of a refresh, especially the chairs and barstools in the kitchen. The dryer isn't functioning properly and needs to be serviced. As well as the icemaker. A few sheet pans in the kitchen would be nice. We would stay again.

OB Pool House that doesn’t work

It worked out well for a the size of our group but the house was in a little rough shape. The kitchen didn’t have paper towels trash bags or many dishes. The pool unfortunately was dirty and and the hot tub was cold. We choose this house hoping to use the pool area. The cable for the tv didn’t work as many people wanted to watch football. Looks like a it has potential to be an awesome house if everything was stocked and worked but for 1000s of dollars to rent you can do better

Could be a dream house...

The first impression of this is house is simply WOW. Tons of bedrooms, bathrooms, a pool, etc. So great. However, after about 2-3 hours there, you start to notice other things. First was the pool - the whole reason I booked this house. When we arrived the water was cold and murky - not even remotely ready for a swim. I had to text the property manager to be instructued on how to turn the filter and heater on. Next, when we arrived, the pump in the basement bathroom had failed and overflowed - GROSS. There was someone there trying to fix it when we arrived, but they weren't able to fix it. The property manager came the next day and then finally a plumber. It took about 24 hours to remedy and the smell was unbelievably bad. We had to keep the basement door shut. When it was fixed, the plumber left an absolute mess that required the cleaning crew to come out and clean. The dishwasher did not work. And the grill is absolutely disgusting - I don't think it's ever been cleaned. Tons of built up grease and sludge - really disgusting. This house could literally be a 12 out of 10 - but these issues make it just OK. Also, this house is not close to downtown Oak Bluffs - it's about a 12 minute drive - just so people know where it's located.

Lovely Home! Great place for a chill vacation!

The only reason why I did not give a 5 star is because the response time was delayed. I would give a 4.5 if I could. I knew if I sent a text on a question or concern, I would not get a response until the next morning around 8. I do understand that they were extremely busy and I was told that urgent responses would be responded to right away and non-urgent the next day. All concerns were responded to by the next day but I do think they need to hire additional staff. I am a clean freak, and I found this house to be quite clean. The refrigerator did work (some of the prior reviews had issues) The house was a perfect size for our group and the pool was additional entertainment for the children as the adults took their time thinking about what we wanted to do for the day. We ate a lot at the house, what I loved about the place is they had every appliance and utensil we needed...I think there was a question on a pizza cutter but not sure if it was ever found. I just know all that I needed was there. There was an issue with the gas grill, I had mentioned prior to my stay that we would be using and was told the tank would be full but we could call if not. The grill had not been cleaned in what seemed to be years! It took us over an hour to clean, by that time we finished we realized there was no gas in the tank and by the time we received a response on where we should go to get the free refill it was too late. We had our food prepped and arrived at the store at 4:29 and they closed at 4:30 so we winded up having to pay $30 for the refill at another location. We made it work, but the grill should have been cleaned and gas in the tank especially since it was mentioned that a guest planned to use prior to their stay. One other issue, there were only three trash cans, definitely not enough for a large group staying at the house for a week. We had a lot of trash! The night before we left I did send a message that they should have someone stop by the next day to remove as our bags did not fit in the containers. Once the outside containers were full we kept the garbage bags in the house. I sent a picture of the outside trash container the day we left so they did not think I was exaggerating! The air flow in the house was a little weird the 3rd floor was freezing. At some point I realized that all of the doors on the second floor needed to remain open to allow the air on the 3rd floor to flow through the house. There were also a few bugs, nothing out of the

Family Lines in the "Vine"

The home and amenities were perfect for hosting 2 families of 4. Due to the pandemic, we have missed family events. This vacation was a nice reunion that allowed us plenty of space to feel safe and allow for down-time after activities. Biking the trails near the home was a daily event. To get to other spots on the island, a car is definitely needed. However, the drives are short. There were a few minor maintenance and cleanliness issues that required multiple follow-up but did not dampen our experience.

Beautiful property!

Our family had a great stay. Beautiful home and very well maintained property. Landscaping was gorgeous, and we loved having coffee on the deck every morning. Well stocked kitchen. A/C worked verify well, as it was warm the week we stayed. A few things in the house were in need of repair (mostly bathroom shelves, hardware), but nothing that impaired our use of anything, and to be expected of a popular rental unit. We would definitely stay again!

Surprising birthday celebration!!!

It was very easy to rent this property online. Didn’t realize the cost of bringing a vehicle over to the vineyard. Really needed the vehicle, so I had to pay the cost. A little disappointed that we didn’t get a chance to use the fireplace. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool after we had to call to have it cleaned and operational. Lost one day of enjoyment with it. Would definitely look into renting again.

Great house with great pool and yard

This house is great, modern decorated and very homey feeling I would highly recommed it The pool is heated and with hot tub attached to it and it’s awesome we were here when the weather was in 60 and we still enjoyed the pool all the day and night only issues was - the controls are not easy and took me a while to figure it out how to work it (maybe a manual by the control panel ) would go along way - when we arrived the hose was still in the pool and some insects and leaves were floating in the pool (I cleaned with the net thingy so no biggie ) - after the first day the water got really oily and more insects and leaves were in the pool I had to clean it every hour and was still a losing battle,the water became a little slimy makes me think the water was not serviced after the previous renting - just 2 lights for the yard the pool area it gets really dark and the pool lights doesn’t work made very creepy stay in the pool at night The house is spacious and great - mattresses are very hard if you like softer bring a Coth or something And the tv hights are too low and the bed are to high , almost impossible to watch tv in bed , how ever all TVs are smart tv and they have great movies channels and they connect to Netflix it was awesome , they provided a lot of towels, they have some bose speakers all over the house, Bluetooth compatible to bring it outside awesome,kitchen is very equiped for all your needs , and the decoration is phenomenal , we did not use it but in the basement has awesome kids friendly room with foosball table tv and double bunks bed if you have kids it’s perfect for them , renter made sure to leave shampoos and bath salts and all the bathroom. They left Fiji water on all the room master bedroom is great with a private deck over looking the reservation land behind the house This house is worth every penny I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again next year But overall again this was a perfect trip
