Guests are reminded of the quiet residential setting, with strict enforcement by local law enforcement against noise disturbances and disruptive behavior. Pets and smoking are strictly prohibited throughout the property. No smoking of any kind which includes vaping.

With six bedrooms accommodating up to 14 guests, "Carolina Elegance" provides ample space for unforgettable beach vacations. Enjoy the sports bottom swimming pool, two living rooms, and expansive wrap-around decks with ocean views. House was beautiful … A few things were not in the best working order but we made do. We did leave behind a brand new heavy duty extension cord that we would love to be able to get back! Would return to this property again. Location is great!

Property was not as pictured. Nice house, but not maintained. Tremendous amount of deferred maintenance. Porches were leaning. Basement area had discarded furniture and junk everywhere. Basketballs for game were flat. Hand soap dispensers were empty. Had to buy soap to refill them. No trash bags other than the ones in the can. Expected a nicer property for the cost. Would NOT rent this property again!

Nice near beach property

Very spacious property near the beach, a short walk. House was clean and fully equipped. Pool was clean with lots of kids activities. Large microwave was not working but there was a smaller one as backup. Communication with local agent could be better. Should provide a list of the beach accessories available; we were driving and knowing what was there would have helped out trip planning. Letting us know that the doors were child proofed for the pool would have been appreciated. We were asked to handle a new microwave delivery! The grill is a hazard and needs repaired or replaced; gas supply intermittently cut off and on. Some replacement supplies for the house were limited. The actual cleaning by the cleaning crew definitely needs checked.We paid a very high rent for our week, but our thanks was a small bag of cookies and a small package of coffee. Other friends who are beach renters at other properties are shown more appreciation for their business. Our overall experience was good in this big house, but renters should be shown more for their business.

The house is two blocks from the beach so proximity was nice.The house had stains on carpet, chips in kitchen cabinetry, and large very dark stains on mattress. We were asked to take off sheets and place in hall- tough sight to unsee after sleeping on during stay. Also, the master bedroom bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Overall, I felt for the amount of money we spent, the house didn’t deliver any aesthetics, but it was spacious and had a lot of amenities.

Family reunion

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. Everything worked beautifully and there was plenty to keep us entertained. The “play”room was great for the kids complete with toys, books, stuffed animals, and lots of room. There were games, puzzles, and even a game room for older kids, plus a garage full of activities and supplies. We loved the pool and spent most of our time there. The house is very well maintained and well equipped. Thanks for a great vacation!

Great family house!

We loved our stay at Carolina Elegance! Karen has filled the house with everything you could need for the perfect beach vacation. We truly did not need to bring anything but clothes and food to this house. The large pool was everyone’s favorite, but the beach is a three minute walk away! It is in a quiet area with great restaurants nearby. We would love to return again!

First trip to Isle of Palms

A group of family and friends just finished a wonderful week at Carolina Elegance at Isle of Palms. Our ages ranged from 4 to 75. The house was attractive, well furnished and very comfortable. Bedroom suites were so appreciated. Everyone enjoyed the house’s great pool and outside area with lots of seating. A short walk took us to a beautiful, wide, uncrowded beach. We also found it helpful that we rented golf carts from the house to move chairs and toys to the beach.

Perfect for a few families!

Carolina Elegance was the perfect home away from home for our group of 16! We had 8 adults & 8 kiddos (4 & under) stay here for a week & it was a wonderful time. They have stocked the house full of items & toys for children. (Good toys too! Magnatiles, games, dinosaurs, dolls, books, etc. along with a few pack+plays, baby gate & high chairs) The option to heat the pool was so nice for the kids to swim & renting the golf cart is a must (we used it so much & the kids of course loved it!) Everything was easy from the moment we got there. Highly recommend! We can’t wait to go back!!

Spring Break - Isle of Palms

We just returned from two weeks at Carolina Elegance. Really can't say enough good things about the house and property...and area! The house was more than plenty for our party of 12. The adults took the king bedrooms, and four of the girls took the queen bunk room. For them, that was heaven. The kitchen is huge and well stocked. Karen has labeled the cabinets and drawers, and it makes it easy to find what you need and also know where it goes when emptying the dishwasher. There are TV's everywhere, and you can use them to log on to your favorite streaming sites, like Netflix and Prime. The pool area is fantastic, and the kids loved this part of the house the most. They went in at least once per day. If you are able, rent the six person golf cart from Karen. I think riding in it was my daughters' favorite part of the trip. It's fun to take it down to lunch or dinner. As for beach access, it is really close. Walk north to 2nd Ave and turn towards the beach. You'll see a path next to the pastel blue house. There's also a friendly cat at this house, too. In all, it will take you about three minutes to get to the beach. As for local restaurants that we enjoyed, I would highly recommend Sea Biscuit Cafe. It's a cute little breakfast and lunch place. Good food at good prices. Luke and Ollie's pizza is good but not outstanding. We live in Brooklyn, NY, so the bar for pizza is high! The kids loved the BeardCat on Sullivan's Island for gelato. We had two great meals at Poe's Tavern and The Obstinate Daughter. Bottles in Mt Pleasant has an amazing selection of wine and beer, and the folks working there really know their stuff. Charleston is an easy 25 minutes away, and it's pretty easy to find public parking. If you plan to eat in Charleston, we would suggest you make your plans well in advance. Reservations fill up pretty quickly. Karen, and her husband Mike, were so helpful. Karen and I texted a number of times during our stay, and she was always quick to respond and always helpful. She is a very responsible and conscientious owner. She truly wants her guests to have an amazing experience. In all, we highly recommend a visit to Isle of Palms and enthusiastically support a stay at Carolina Elegance.

Living the Good Life

It was five days of living the good life...a beautiful home located on a barrier island within walking distance of the beach. Who could ask for more? The home was perfect for our extended family of 13 with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, which is always an important consideration for me. The older couples took the 3 bedrooms on the main floor while the young people happily staked out the 3 bedrooms on the top floor. The top floor also included a central sitting area with a flat screen TV. One of the bedrooms up there was furnished with 3 bunk beds with double sized mattresses, perfect for a family with several children. The rooms also had balconies. What was fun was that there was an elevator that went up to the top floor. This was very helpful when we were ready to take the luggage back to the car,. And then there was the kitchen-gorgeous and stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. One night we booked a chef to come and prepare dinner for our group and he had no trouble finding the utensils and pots/pans he needed. The gathering place for our stay ended up being the entertainment area off the dining room. It had a very large flat screen TV and comfortable lazy boy type couches. It was hard getting several members of the family away from the Bowl games that were taking place during our time there.. As mentioned on the website, there were bikes, an air hockey game table, a pool and other items available, as well as a video game area on the top floor. So, what you see on the website is what you get except for the bunk beds. They were new and we were the first guests to use them. If Charleston is your vacation destination, you can not go wrong booking this home. It helped make our stay a special family time with wonderful memories.

Great vacation rental

Carolina Elegance was a perfect house for our family. Plenty of room. Beautifully renovated bathrooms throughout. Our toddler grandchildren loved their own little shower with the shower wand in the bathroom downstairs.The kitchen was fully equipped. The walk to.the beach was a little longer than 3 minutes with wagons and toddlers but we certainly appreciated the beach umbrella, 2 wagons and chairs that were available for our use. We loved the quiet beach location and sea life. We rescued 40+ beached starfish, and enjoyed watching the pelicans and dolphins. Heath was always available and helpful! A great vacation rental experience!

This home was spacious and well equipped! Short walk to beach.....nice pool. Very nice kitchen. A couple of the bathrooms were getting a little shabby, but otherwise a nice rental!

Incredible property with entertainers back yard, pool, and walking distance to beach

Everything about the house was fantastic. The pool with the volley ball was a big hit. The backyard has great landscaping and is perfect for hanging around all day. Two gas grills and charcoal grill can be used for BBQ and chefs kitchen to prepare meals for large groups. The house is also less than 5 minute walk to a nice beach. The whole street and location is very peaceful and relaxing get away. We had a great stay and hope to visit again!

This is a beautiful home that was just perfect for our extended family of 9 and a toddler to celebrate my 60th birthday together. The second floor sitting porch was perfectly delightful and it was a pleasure to cook in the well-provisioned, well laid out kitchen. The beach is a hop, skip, and jump away and there is a great beach wagon complete with beach toys for my granddaughter's first experience with the ocean. There was plenty of group and private space for our varying age/interests group to be together or apart - leading to a quite harmonious experience for all! The pool was not yet finished during our stay and I am sure it will make the property even more enchanting.

Super nice house at Isle of Palms conveniently located to shops and restaurants.

Our family vacation at Isle of Palms was amazing. This house is fantastic and includes everything you need for an enjoyable stay. As this was Thanksgiving week, we did a lot of cooking and really appreciated how well appointed the kitchen was. With two living spaces and 6 bedrooms, there was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. We all loved the upstairs porch and spent a lot of time talking, reading, and relaxing out there… a perfect place for morning coffee and even better watching the sun set with a glass of wine. The beds were comfortable and the house was super clean. Thanks so much for a great stay, we had a great time and hope to return soon.
