We enjoyed the cabin, it was a great layout and the owners were great. We did have some issues with cleanliness. We saw multiple dead roaches and rat poop. We contacted the owner and he sent a cleaner out right away. The cleaner didn’t do a very good job so there was still rat poop. The owner made accommodations with us requiring all this. If they have a new cleaner we would book again.

Celebration of cancer survivirship- 44 years

The house itself is delightful. There were only 4 of us, so a lot of the house was unused. It was adequately equipped, and having everything labeled was great idea! The driveway is the driveway from hell. Even warning that it is steep is most inadequate. It is not suitable for larger vehicles. We had an SUV and a Ram Truck. We parked in the driveway by going past it, turning around and going in straight, but getting out was. Real problem. The truck actually scraped the concrete at the edge of the road when we tried to back out. The next door neighbor who shares the driveway came over and told us to park on the grassy area on the street.. which we did after having the bad experience of trying to back out! He is a permanent resident and parks on the street.The only other defect I encountered was the toilet paper holder in the lower bathroom was broken. With only half of it there. It was that way when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay, but would not choose this property again because of the driveway. We are 85 years hold, one is 81. And the other one tolerates us . The picture of the driveway is certainty deceiving!!

Christmas weekend trip

Alpine Haus is a beautiful cabin located within 10 min from downtown Helen. The cabin was clean, roomy and very cozy. We had everything we needed and more! Beautiful views and lots of outdoor seating. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. We loved that a Christmas tree was already put up and all we had to do was put our gifts under the tree!! The only issue we had was the parking. It wasn’t big enough to accommodate our vehicles. That was the only complaint but the rest of our stay made up for it.

St Helen Cabin at Christmastime

We had short stay mid-December. We were pleasantly surprised to see the cabin was decorated for Christmas, the host was quick to communicate and accommodate our change in length of of stay and everyone was happy with their rooms.

Great, spacious home near downtown Helen

Overall, we had a great experience in our stay at this home! There were some issues with temperature regulation in the upstairs bedrooms where our kids were sleeping (didn't see any vents up there) and the hot water heater wasn't quite powerful enough to handle the showers of nine people within a short time. We would definitely stay here again though!

Great Family Vacation

Absolutely great location, close to everything in Helen, GA. Lots of room for the whole family. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, kitchen was well stocked for making family dinners together and we really enjoyed the grill on the deck too.

Pictures didn’t do it “ justice”

Overall impression - landscaping not kept up . Broken thermostat on main level . Dead bugs indicating a while since housekeeping . Burned out bulbs . Rotting exterior furniture . Broken master shower . Running master toilet . Water leak and vegetation growing in basement bedroom and bathroom . We were very pleased with kitchen , the community , and the surrounding areas . Had been so excited for the house based on the beautiful photos and other reviews but found all of that to not be the case for our stay - house needed some major attention and fixing up to be a rental .

I stayed for one night, and overall, the accommodation experience was quite good. However, I have a few minor comments: 1. The shower in the master bathroom not working. Even though we are notified on the day we arrive, ideally there should be a discount for this. 2. Since they claim the house can accommodate up to 10 people, the power of the water heater should be higher, so that the hot water supply doesn't fall short. 3. The issue with the back door: I believe we are not the first to encounter this problem, and on that day, there were many cars behind us trying to enter the community. Because of this, we were delayed by over an hour on Sunday, which was very unfortunate. This issue might need to be reported to the management company.

Mountain getaway

Perfect spot for our family. We enjoyed the back porch at night utilizing the hot tub and fire pit. The Mountain View’s were refreshing from the porch and the inside of the home. Located close to Helen, without being right in town which we preferred. Close to some amazing hiking trails.

Mountain Getaway

Great Cabin for a quick or extended getaway!

This cabin has it all! My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick getaway to the mountains and this spacious cabin delivered and then some. We had such a good time that we are considering renting the place out for a week to bring out extended families. Plenty of space, perfectly decorated, the owner is super responsive, and the location is perfect. A+

Great Get-away!

Very impressed with the property and the Host! The property is wonderfully sited, with easy access to everything to enjoy in Helen, but with the security and serenity of being in a gated community, out of the high-traffic areas. The cabin has everything you could want, is well-designed and appointed very nicely, right down to binoculars so you can view wildlife in the adjacent wooded areas. Loved the hot tub. Kitchen very-well equipped, and we appreciated the outdoor grill being in great condition and clean! Beds were comfy, loved the snuggly throws on the couches, cabin is filled with welcoming personal touches, but not the klitchsy bear decor that is so prominent in mountain cabins. Had two dogs with us; they loved going out on the decks with us. Walking them as needed didn't pose any problems. Spacious, with lots of room for our family of seven. Host was great at communicating, very responsive but not the least bit obtrusive. We will be back!

Experiencing Helen

This was a great house to rent for our family of 7 while experiencing Helen. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and yet cozy enough for us to gather around for games and meals. The location was perfect! We enjoyed morning walks around the neighborhood. It was so close to Unicoi state Park where we enjoyed many outdoor activities. Restaurants and other activities in Helen were just minutes away. Check in and check out couldn't have been easier! So thankful we found this wonderful home to have our family vacation.

Gorgeous Stay in Helen

Quick getaway with family and friends and it was A1. Looked just like the pictures. Very peaceful and very pretty and clean home. Plenty of room for Framily of 10 and we even brought our fur baby. The host, Marvin was an 11 out of 10 - the perfect host. We thought we had an issue with the air (user error), and the refrigerator took a minute to get cold and Marvin was quick to respond and promptly sent the handyman. I would definitely stay again and recommend. A+++.
