Furthermore, the island Reichenau, a World Heritage Site, is located 38 km or a 29-minute drive away, also close to the picturesque old town centre of Konstanz, which is famous for its centuries-old buildings, charming architecture and the cathedral. The area around Singen offers numerous great hiking and cycling routes through scenic landscapes and along the lakeshores. An extinct volcano, the “Hohentwiel”, is only a 16-minute drive (14 km) away and offers fantastic views over Singen and the scenic landscape after you have hiked up. In winter, you can even go skiing an 18-minute drive (15 km) away or across the nearby Swiss border.
