Birthday

We gathered to celebrate my son’s 23rd birthday. We didn’t need 2 areas for cooking but having the extra space was nice. 3 refrigerators was a plus. It rained at some point on most days but had plenty of games or just chill and read a book. We used the paddle boards and played corn hole too. Wonderfully quiet place in a neighborhood with large lots.

The property is in a great location but the property overall is a bit rundown. There were cobwebs everywhere, the grill was inop and the AC doesn’t cool upstairs while the people downstairs freeze(just one unit).The deck upstairs is buckling and Is a tripping hazard. The coffee maker might work or might not. Also there are so many rules. They are posted all over the house plus in your email you receive at check in. The check in is a bit late at 4PM (although you may can get an early check in)and check out is at 10AM.

Beautiful home!

This home is so beautiful and the view of the lake is breath taking. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and have our own space. The beds were so comfortable. The extra oven downstairs came in handy while preparing large meals. Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful Weekend Retreat

This home is a wonderful place for family time! My adult children and grandchildren meet us there for a long weekend. The boys fished from sun up to sundown. The driveway was perfect to set up a pickleball net! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The views from the back porch are stunning! The one word of caution-Smith Lake is not private. I was under that impression and simply failed to ask which was my mistake! The game warden did give my son in law a ticket so get your fishing license!😊 The host is very responsive to any questions that might come up. I loved our time here and highly recommended it!

Perfect Bday Weekend

We had the absolute best weekend here!! Our group had 8 adults. The pictures don’t do this place justice - it’s beautiful! Plenty of space, dock is a short walk, stunning views, lots of privacy, etc. The view coming in from the water by boat is stunning. The provided cornhole boards were much appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Absolutely perfect weekend! Thank you for hosting us!

Beautiful View - Perfect Stay

Very clean, very big perfectly spaced out rooms for privacy. Amazing Views and Gorgeous Lake! The owner was So Accommodating and Great to work with. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had. I don’t think there’s a better place to stay anywhere on this lake. We will stay here again!

Perfect Lake Weekend

Our family had a wonderful long weekend at this lake house! The location of the house on the quiet cove was perfect- very little boat wake and not too long of a walk to the dock. The owners were great at communicating with us when needed, and the house was well stocked with large areas to gather. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Lake Home

We had a wonderful vacation on the lake. The location of this home is perfectly situated on a peaceful cove. We spent many hours sitting on the dock, swimming, kayaking and standup paddle boarding. Our adult kids stayed on the lower level, giving them lots of privacy to sleep in and work remotely. The kitchen is well equipped making meal prep really easy. It was hard to leave the lake and we would gladly stay here again.

Lake Retreat

Beautiful spacious home. Enough room for 8 of us to sleep. There needs to be more lighting in the kitchen and dining area, as the lighting there was not food enough to see the table well after sundown. Also could use handicapped bar in tubs.

Beautiful home and convenient location!

This was a beautiful home for our family vacation! The owner was great…very accessible and made the whole process super easy. We enjoyed the beautiful picturesque view, the quiet cove, the kayaking and paddle boards, and the sunset cruise every night. Thanks for the memories!

Celebrating Friendship

The Frank Lloyd Wright Home is simply beautiful. We had an awesome time and created some wonderful memories with my friend and guests to celebrate her 70th birthday. There were 6 of us instead of 8 which turned out great. Everyone had their own space. We took advantage of the upstairs balcony and the downstairs patio to witness the beauty of nature and the serenity of the lake, along with all the other amenities that our host suggested; the grill, the firepit, the screened porch, the TVs with Netflix, etc. Pictures do not tell the atmospheric story of this home. You must be there to experience and the special moments that the surroundings of this home bring. Our host Kelly was amazing. She was very easy to work with; accommodating, welcoming, and gracious, an example for others to follow. Thanks again, Kelly! See you soon.

Christmas on the lake

This home is beautiful! At first unimpressive on the driveway side when you pull up, but upon walking in the front door, it is a breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding environs. Gorgeous!!! We were there at Christmas, but it was still a wonderful site to be, as we were able to walk the property and head down to the dock. There was a lovely Christmas tree set up for our celebration and it was a comfortable, quiet place to spend time with the ones you love. Lots of space for people to branch out who had not seen one another in a long time and just relax and re-visit!

Awesome lake house

We had a great time with the family at this house! Hosts were super accommodating and the house was beautiful. All the amenities you could hope for. Sprawling back porch with amazing lake views, high ceilings, modern architecture. Very clean, would love to visit again!

Beautiful home and location, but.....

I booked this house almost a year in advance to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary. We stayed here this past July & while we had a great time there were a few issues & for the price paid for the house, I feel like some things were lacking. Communication with the owner was great, however, most of these reviews seem to be from the previous owner. When I rented it was with Jane & when we stayed we were dealing with Kelly. Just throwing that out there. There were some issues with broken/dirty things. The kitchen faucet came off in our hands as soon as we turned it on. We were informed about the broken sound system on the main floor, but it was disappointing that we weren't able to use it, wifi was nonexistent & cell service spotty. You shouldn't advertise wifi if you can't be sure it will work. My daughter had college classes to attend while we were there & we were counting on the wifi, she had to go into town to do her school work. The grill was gross as well as the oven & anytime we cooked it put smoke in the house. The kitchen could be stocked a little better. The sheets on the bed we slept in, the king downstairs were dirty/dingy & had holes in them, I only wish I could post pictures. Not what I would expect in a house like this! Air conditioner vents were disgusting & there was just a feeling that not a thorough cleaning was being done each time, even though you pay a hefty cleaning fee. Needs some outside maintenance as well, cobwebs everywhere, ants on the front porch, dirty furniture. House is noisy & I know that is the design but you can literally hear people in the next room, toilets being flushed, every step made upstairs. Voices travel so make sure you go outside if you want privacy when you are talking. We also had construction going on next door which was not mentioned & while I know it is out of their control it really should have been mentioned. They started fairly early with the construction so no sleeping in & it kinda took away from the peacefulness of the lake. Being on the water was amazing, we rented a boat & parked it at the dock for the week. It was so nice to be able to come & go as needed, especially since we had rain showers off and on all week. And the view was breathtaking. The lake toys were a nice feature just wish they weren't extra $$ and would be nice to have them down at lake level so you don't have to carry them up and down. Overall we had a great time, but the house needs some attention in certain areas.

Nice Place and Location

Well kept property just about 6 miles off I-65. Beatiful all-glass window lake frontage view. Reasonable about of steps to the docks. Plenty of refridgerators for food storage. Overall layout of interior was well planned with open space. Enkoyed our stay.
