This hotel is run on the bare minimum. In 3 days I only saw 2 people working there, and a third when I checked out. When checking in, the desk attendant seemed to be sleeping in the lobby. The bedding on the king bed were queen size. I don't know what all the wiring and connectors were that were in an open box nex to the TV, but I've never seen anything like it out in the open in a hotel room. Everything looked old and worn. The breakfast was practically non-existent. The apple juice was almost completely water with just a bit of juice mixed in. The lids for coffee cups were not the right size to fit properly so you couldn't even take a cup of coffee to go. I have stayed in AmericInns on a number of occasions and generally the experience has been good. But, I will not be staying at this one on my next trip to the Council Bluffs area. However, I suspect that will not be a decision I will have to make because I can't imagine this place will be open much longer.
