The spacious two story deck boasts a stunning view of the ridge line and the gentle sound of the trout-filled creek which is only a short hike away. A fly-angler's delight, Fightingtown Creek is home to some of North Georgia's most beautiful rainbow and brown trout. With direct property access, any seasoned or novice fisherman or woman is welcome to immerse themselves in its beauty.

Long weekend at the cabin

We had a great time playing board games and standing in the river. We also enjoyed some passing thunderstorms while sitting on the deck. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room to read and relax.

Cabin getaway

The cabin was super clean and well stocked. We ended up with a lot of rainy days but there were plenty of books and board games for entertainment. Loved the recommended local restaurants both were delicious! The green egg had a broken fire grate and leaky seal which made it a little more difficult to worth with but still useable. Wine fridge seemed to be completely broken and didn't cool to the correct temperature but also not the end of the world. Overall a very nice stay and would plan on returning if we stay in that area again in the future!

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful property on the river in a convenient location between McCaysville and Blue Ridge, GA. The house is beautiful and great for our family. Loved the porch swings and jacuzzi on the deck. Only downside was slow Wi-Fi and we couldn’t get the tv’s to work.

so fantastic to enter in to a real life “Calm” app. …the river flowing ,the rain on the roof, the cabin porch life and more … best therapy around! What a delightful experience we had in this fabulous home ! Every little detail was perfect ! Our 6 year old grandson played Every game and entertained himself with the toys he found … what a sweet surprise 🥰. We made the best memories playing games and having sweet conversations on the back porch that will be cherished for many years to come🥰. Our beds were so comfortable and the kitchen and baths had everything we could possibly need . Everything was so clean and and this home is full of charm.

Excellent Cabin on water

The photos don’t do this cabin justice. The host is excellent and quick to respond. Cabin has everything and more. Easy to get to, plenty of parking and close to town. Cabin is private and you feel completely secluded.

Beautiful Cabin!

We had an amazing stay at the Taylor Cabin! The home was absolutely beautiful, and we were blow away by everything the cabin had to offer. It literally had everything we could have needed, right down to beautiful china we used for our night in. We enjoyed a gorgeous New Years Eve dinner on the patio on the main floor, with soft music playing on the outdoor speaker system and the sound of the river in the background. The views were phenomenal, and the location was perfect. Even though the cabin was very spacious, it was cozy and welcoming throughout. The owners were very responsive and accommodating throughout the process as well. Absolutely recommend this cabin!!!

Wonderful, Relaxing time

This place is amazing! The fireplace and hot tub are great places to gather at the end of a day. We actually caught several trout out of the beautiful river. Robert was super attentive to whatever we needed!

Great birthday weekend!

We chose the Taylor Cabin to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday. Unfortunately, we had to book it somewhat last minute due to cancellations and rearranging so it was more than we’d planned to spend, but once we arrived at the Taylor Cabin we knew we’d made the right choice. It’s beautiful and the river next to it adds something extra special. My fiancé fished it everyday while I enjoyed the hot tub with mimosa in hand! The indoor fireplace worked the best to heat the place up and added an extra cozy feel. Mrs. Dawn even treated Austin to a little birthday gift with a late checkout. We had a great time!

Beautiful cabin on the river!!!

Our family; which included our two sons, and my husband’s parents enjoyed our stay immensely! We came up from South-West Florida to enjoy a week of fall, and this cabin was the perfect setting! We were all able to stretch out between the three floors to retreat when we needed to, but also gather together for meals and games by the fireside every evening. We hosted a family get together with my family that live in the area and the cabin facilitated the event perfectly!! The house was provisioned so well with linens, kitchen utensils, and other small items that made the stay so pleasurable and relaxing. These owners really seem to focus in and anticipate what their guests might want or need to have a wonderful time. We spent a lot of time on the porch listening to the river and enjoying the foliage. It seems like you’re staying in a tree house with the amazing views at eye level. We would love to come back and spend another week, possibly two, at this location.

Adult Weekend

Beautiful cabin!…the listing pictures do this place justice! A few of us decided to have an adult weekend to celebrate our husbands birthdays! This was exactly what we needed. The sound of the river from the gorgeous patio was the best sound to wake up to and go to sleep to! The cabin felt very homey but also a great getaway vibe too. The fully equipped bar in the middle of the living area was so cool - we loved that feature. The family/owners of this place were as amazing as you can get for renters….prompt, polite, accommodating & really caring people. Def recommend this place to all ages of fun!

Perfect Get Away for Friends

This is a great cabin to get away from it all. It had a everything we needed to cook group meals and gather to play games. We enjoyed sitting by the water and relaxing on the wonderful deck overlooking it all. Everything was very clean and there was plenty of extra linens for whatever we might need. While this cabin is tucked away nicely it is also conveniently located to downtown McCaysville. It was nice to hop into town for lunch and a little shopping. There are also two breweries that were very enjoyable. Just keep in mind that the Blue Ridge Railroad unloads in the downtown area during lunch so waits could be longer. We always managed to miss the lunch rush, however, and got some amazing pizza while sitting on a porch on the water. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Amazing vacation cabin!

Our family of 5 loved our stay at the Taylor Cabin! This is our first time staying on a creek and it provided endless fun and activities for our busy crew! The cabin was beautiful, clean, very well stocked and felt like “home” not a rental! We are already talking about returning in the spring.

Beautiful property with gorgeous views!

From check in to check out, a great experience! Robert and Dawn were super helpful, quick to answer any questions and always quick to respond. The house is gorgeous and the view from the upper level is to die for! We enjoyed many meals and games out there just listening to the rushing water and enjoying the scenery! We will be back again!!

Charming & peaceful

We 4 Besties had a fabulous time at the charming & peaceful Taylor Cabin! The creek was an amazing feature that reminded us of being beachfront, minus the rhythmic waves. But the continual sound of the creek was very soothing & peaceful. We were all looking to destress from our overly intense lives! The cabin itself was charming & well-loved. Personal & welcoming touches such as books, games & videos, plenty of towels, tp & other paper products. The Big Green Egg was also wonderful to use! Our favorite part of the cabin was the upper porch. It was so lovely! We had our meals out there & loved reading & just sharing some wonderful conversations! We thought the bugs might be a problem, but not one mosquito bite! At night, the beetles & moths did flock to the lights. But, hey...we just outsmarted them & sat in the dark!🤣 We had one issue with the a/c. And the owner sent someone out at 9:30pm. By midnight, it was fixed. And both the manager and owner checked on us the next day. We honestly loved our stay & would return without hesitation!

Perfect Mountain Home

This place is gorgeous AND so well prepped for guests. We celebrated Fathers Day weekend here and it was amazing. Fishing is awesome, but a little bit of a hike to get to the river. Well worth it though! The back porch swing and view while having wine or coffee is perfection. Within the first few hours of our stay we booked for Christmas!

Perfect vacation

This is a beautiful property with space and privacy. Austin was awesome at making sure we were comfortable and also had helpful advice on floating the river right behind the cabin. This place was better than I had expected. We can’t wait to go back!
