Everything was good. The place, the pool, the surroundings. The only two things we will write about is the cleanliness and the aircondition. When we arrived the first thing we saw was that it looked like nobody had made a thorough cleaning for weeks. There was a lot of dust in the corners and there was a lot of ants in the kitchen. The floor was also quite dirty, so you could not have anything laying on the floor. The linens looked like they weren’t washed before they got on the beds. The day after our arrival we wrote to the owners, and he said, that he would contact the cleaning lady , but nothing happened. The pool area was clean, so that was good It was not possible to turn on the air conditioning in the living room due to a high electric bill the owner said.

We really enjoyed our stay. Check in process simple. Helen the cleaner was extremely helpful and was just a call or text away if needed. Infact her communication with us was impeccable!! Location nice and quiet and close to the Pueblo, Mijas, Benalmádena centre and Fuengirola via a taxi which were all reasonably priced.. We enjoyed the lovely pool, air conditioning and Netflix. Restaurants we visited were La Perla, La Fuentes, The Lilsc tree, la scorpion. We thoroughly recommend the town house and thank you for a fabulous stay ☺️

Plus que déçus par cette maison

Vaisselle sale, collante Travaux de construction en face des 8h du matin, non indiqués évidemment! Beaucoup de poussière tombe dans la piscine. Liner sale On nous demande de ne pas utiliser les 2 stores banne car ils sont déchirés On nous informe que la clim dans la chambre du bas est coupée car cela coûte trop cher. Très peu d’ustensiles de cuisine, de plus ils sont sales, cafetière minuscule et sale , grille de bbq sale rouillée non nettoyable, four inutilisable car trop sale, grille pain HS et non remplacé. Extérieur sale , table cassée, moisie sous la nappe, eau qui dégouline depuis le plateau. Couverts noircis indétachables , il faut vraiment avoir besoin de manger avec. Beaucoup de poussière partout, sur les têtes de lit, toiles d’araignées, taies d’oreillers tachées Piscine fraîche à notre arrivée 24 degrés pour 28 annoncés. Chauffage piscine cher: 70€ pour 5 jours ou pour la semaine complète, même prix, et qu’il faut payer en cash à Helen directement. De plus il n’y a aucune régulation : eau devenue beaucoup trop chaude, le chauffage tourne en permanence (34 degrés) Literie confortable en bas mais matelas taché En haut pas confortable. Très bonne communication avec Helen pour l’arrivée à la maison. Elle fait de son mieux mais malheureusement avec des proprios qui ne veulent pas faire d’aménagements, elle ne reçoit que les mauvaises remarques. Accueil sympathique : eau, vin blanc et rouge, bières, pain , beurre oeufs nous attendaient.

A pleasant private house to base your holiday in Costa Del Sol from

Firstly, Mike and Norma are excellent hosts and their communication either directly or via their point of contact in Spain, Helen, was excellent. We had issues with the Wi-Fi which was out of their control but they worked hard to resolve. The Villa sits in the hills of Benalmádena, 5 min drive to the gorgeous Pueblo or 10-15 mins drive to the main strip. With 2 young children we didn’t attempt any walking but in our opinion a car is pretty important if you want to do anything based outside of the villa - we had one so wasn’t an issue. Within half hour east or west of the coast we managed to see so much. A trip to Mijas is a must and the bio-park is a fantastic zoo if you are looking for something to do. We were unlucky enough to have 4 days of rain during our week stay, which meant we really had to “live” in the house. Whilst the town house possesses lots of charm it undoubtedly could do with some TLC. Little things such as a very wobbly unstable toilet, all the wall clocks without batteries, and an ancient oven that we could only get to grill just a few examples. The outside dining table is also in a pretty fragile state. In summary, I would recommend the villa for guests to stay. The outside area is really lovely and it’s in a really good location for a base. With a little bit of a refresh it could be really special place. Thank you Mike and Norma for your hospitality.

Definitely not what you expect from the pictures

Disappointed!! And I really hate leaving bad reviews . Without going into too much detail this property needs some real Tlc. Helen the property cleaner was very helpful with our concerns and tried her best for us .

Nice villa, great pool

Lovely villa and welcome from cleaner Helen, she was excellent. But… the air con wasn’t working downstairs, the springs were digging through the mattresses on the single beds which was unbearable and if you sat on the settees you sunk down a few feet! The pool cleaner only came once which isn’t good for a hot dusty climate. Not massive issues but when taken together get a bit irritating - sort those small issues and it would be perfect.

Perfect Stay

The property was perfect. It had everything we needed. On arrival we were met by Helen who explained everything to us and had provided us with essentials. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the beds very comfortable. There was plenty of space to accommodate us as a family of 5. The outdoor space was really nice, with plenty of beds to sunbathe and towels were provided for the pool, which we have never had before. There was also a place to sit and relax outside with canopies overhead if you did not want to be in the sun. The BBQ facilities were great and we made use of these. It is in a quite location but close enough for all amenities. We will be back.

Pros y contras

La casa tiene aspectos positivos, en nuestro caso, destacaría os la zona exterior, piscina y barbacoa. Como aspectos negativos, la no disposición de la agente para comunicarse en español, lo cual generó algunos errores de comprensión, escaso menaje, sobretodo, vasos; y la ubicación de la casa, q o liga a coger coche para todo.

Sin aire cuando más calor hace

La casa esta muy bien pero que no tenga aire wn el salón por no querer la propiedad arreglarlo muy mal. Hace demasiado calor para no arreglarlo, según ellos por que gasta mucho por que los clientes no lo apagan, pero por el precio de la casa debería funcionar. Todo lo demás correcto menaje muy justo.

Uitstekende omgeving en prima woning

De woning is goed gelegen. De indeling van de woning ook wel goed. De keuken had wel wat meer keukenspullen mogen hebben. Wat wij jammer vonden is dat de omgeving van de zwembad niet gehele privacy heeft, terwijl wij hier wel om gevraagd hebben. Voor moslim gezinnen (vrouwen) is deze woning dan niet aan te raden helaas. Als vrouw zijnde moest ik mezelf bedekken om het zwembad in te kunnen. Wanneer je in het zwembad zit, kan niemand je zien. Verder hebben we een fijne vakantie gehad.

Perfect in every way.

Casa Burton is the perfect Spanish retreat for us, set in a beautiful location, just minutes away from Benalmádena Pueblo, which we visited a few times, admiring the gorgeous scenery each time. We can’t fault our stay at this villa at all, perfectly sized for the five of us but could easily sleep six. The pool and outside area is exactly what we needed, providing plenty of sun loungers and a lovely outside dining area. The villa was lovely and clean when we arrived and we were very warmly welcomed. We were contacted weeks before our stay at the villa by Kay the agent, explaining the process for when we arrived and asking if we’d like her to get us some shopping in for when we arrived, with it being a Sunday. We took up this brilliant offer and it was really handy for us as we were delayed arriving and didn’t have to worry about going out to try and hunt some groceries down for the week. Overall this villa was like home from home for us and we’d hugely recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely relaxing stay in Benalmádena. The Webster’s and Abbi 🙂 x

Our stay at Casa Burton December 2019

Stayed at the villa Dec 2019, over Christmas. Booked for 2 weeks but ended up going home early. We didn’t hire a car and found the villa a bit to remote for us. The villa itself is nice we had no issues in a quite residential area, only problem was not a nice smell from the bottom bathroom which was probably the drains . The walk up to Benalmádena paublo was a good uphill climb and took us about 20/25 minutes. It’s worth the walk or a taxi it’s a pretty little village with restaurants and a few hotels .The nearest supermarket is 40 minutes on foot so you realistically need a car or a taxi. Train station is 20 minutes down hill and from there you can access Benalmadena centre ,Malaga Fuengirola, and many more little towns, Which we used Most days and very cheap to . We went to Malaga, to see the Christmas lights what a Beautiful city. There’s plenty to see and do so it a nice quiet base but a bit to much for us the walk back up the hills I would recommend you hire a car .

Super verblijf, bijna alles in orde.

Heel leuk huisje super zwembad echt alles in orde . Juist in één kamer met drie eenpersoons bedden waarvan er twee matrassen aan verandering toe zijn. En toch een onaangename reuk in beide badkamers. Maar wij zouden daar zeker kunnen leven .

Nice property but a little remote.

Nice property, but further out than we thought and with 2 young grandchildren we needed a car to get around I think this would apply to everyone. Spacious apartment, clean and tidy with a lovely pool. The only downsides were the agent left us outside for an hour in the miday sun with 2 young children. Also there was a problem with a faulty air con unit and when reported to the agent we got little response, however the owners responded immediately and arranged an engineer. Overall we had a .lovely stay at the property and would recommend it.

Great stay

Our family of 4 had a wonderful weeks stay at Casa Burton. The villa was ideal for us with great views. The walk up to the village was a little taxing in the midday sun but other than that the location was brilliant. We would certainly recommend the property to family and friends and next time we plan to visit the Benalmádena area we will be in touch. Thank you Regards Gary and Anne

Benalmadena est une ville/village superbe mais malheureusement, les abords sont très sales.

La maison est grande et propre, jolie et entretenue. On a eu un bon accueil de Lydia. En mars, il est nécessaire de faire chauffer la piscine sinon on ne peut pas en profiter. Les points plus négatifs : les 2 salles de bain dégagent une forte odeur d égouts. Il est impossible de prendre une douche à l étage car le débit d eau est un minuscule filet. Il n y a donc qu une salle de bain utilisable, celle avec la baignoire. Mais si l eau du.bain coule, impossible de faire une vaisselle par exemple. Ce qui est dommage aussi, c est qu il y a un grand pilonne électrique dans la rue, juste à côté de la maison. Toutes les chaînes de télévision sont en anglais. Les matelas sont très durs en bas et en haut, on sent fort les ressorts. Nous avons été très surpris de trouver quelqu'un qui nettoyait la piscine en rentrant d une balade. Nous aurions préféré être prévenu.

Good location

Villa Burton was lovely and comfortable. We had great weather for the week. We used ground floor as it had all rooms we needed and I have breathing difficulties. Would not recommend upstairs for anyone with mobility problems as , but ground floor was fine. Well equipped including UK TV which was great so didn't miss my favourite programmes. The bed downstairs was the best I have ever slept in,must have been a memory foam one. Villa great location for getting to most popular places and near big supermarkets. Quiet area with good views..

Quiet residential location - Home from Home

This is a lovely base for a stay close to Benalmádena Pueblo, it's such a pretty village. The villa is exactly like the photos portray on the web site. There were six of us, two couples and two teenagers and it was comfortable for all. The kitchen is well equipped and we used the BBQ a couple of times. As it was late October we requested that the pool be heated and it was like a warm bath. We received a thoughtful welcome pack on arrival which was a nice touch. Our car hire fell through but we managed fine without one, the village is about a 20 min walk up a steep hill and you can get buses from there, alternatively there is a train station a 20 min walk down hill. There are plenty of good restaurants in the village (our favourite was an Italian called Da Cosimo), we did a trip to the marina which was a bit of a contrast. Mijas is also worth a visit. We had a great time at Casa Burton!
