Service was horrendous - felt like a 3* resort AT MOST. Everything was difficult. They couldn’t honor our rooms at check-in. They wanted us to change rooms during our 5 night stay. There were basically no prime dinner reservations the entire length of our stay. All the prime pool chairs were reserved for the entire time. And the worst part is the resort was empty!! Empty restaurants we couldn’t eat in. Empty chairs we couldn’t use.
All the “nice touches” in their list of included amenities - you had to either request or they told you had to pay for.
We complained to Expedia but the hotel insisted all of the above was part of their policies - none of which were listed on the Expedia listing. Expedia tries to work with them, and they insisted they would follow up with us to address the issues - but never did.
Everything we asked for - they offered to us if we went to their timeshare presentation. It’s been a long time since we were aggressively pushed like this.
Just as a final icing on the cake - at check-out they screwed us on the credit we were supposed to receive as part of our booking. They told us we hadn’t used it so to spend in the gift shop. But then they came back with a big bill of other items they hadn’t applied the credit to!! They then told us we had to sign to acknowledge we received the credit - or they wouldn’t give it to us!!
