Lots of smaller red eye bass to catch The stream water is crystal clear and great for the dogs. Shade in the evening for the enclosed porch. Great internet signal if you can’t leave work behind. The nearby Roaring Run hike is spectacular when open. Nearest real grocery is 30 minutes away so pack well.»

«Very nice cozy cabin, close to AT and trails, 30 minutes to Roanoke. Nicely appointed with kitchen items, seating etc. Driveway is steep and gravel with some concrete for traction at sharp turn and ok after a trip up and down but more of a challenge in the dark. «Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area.»

«As soon as we pulled up to the property, we were taken aback by how beautiful and peaceful it was! The cabin was super clean and cozy, perfect for a getaway. We enjoyed waking up at sunrise and drinking our coffee on the front porch swing and watching the deer and wild turkeys. The property is super close to Moncove Lake so we spent some time kayaking and enjoying the park. We loved the touch of the automatic twinkle lights at dark and had the most relaxing stay!! Would definitely stay again! ...

«We stayed for 4 days and had a wonderful and relaxed time. The location was peaceful, the cabin was beautiful and the overall experience was excellent. The host is wonderful and very quick to respond to questions. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch at dark watching the fireflies. It was a perfect relaxing getaway. We hope to be able to stay again next year.»

«Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again!»

«Pros: Very quiet, comfortable beds, pretty views and sounds from the creek, hospitable and helpful host - con: slight sulfur smell from the water at times (which was disclosed and harmless), but it didn’t last and we didn’t find it bothersome. All in all, this was a well equipped and nicely located cabin which I would recommend.»
