«No code for check in was sent. we had to ask another guest for a number to contact the property manager as the number given through the website says it's disconnected. Eventually we were able to retrieve keys at nearly 3pm. The driveway upto the property is dirt and in extremely bad condition, not suitable for small hire cars! This was not stated on website! Bathroom didn't accomodate the 3 of us who were staying there with linen and toiletries. The pool/spa was heated beautifully but the spa ...

«The ground floor unit is beneath the main accommodation which is like a big house and so the noise upstairs can be an issue. We were lucky there were no families with children upstairs. The kitchen is well appointed and very clean. The living room space is quite adequate for 2 people. But the bedroom is a let-down - only one bed lamp on the one bedside table. Excellent !! The service is absolutely fantastic:)
"My girlfriend and I, 19 years old from Norway in Australia on a working holiday, had to evacuate from Cairns during cyclone Jasper, and ended up in Thornton, and at this motel. WHAT a happiness! These have to be the most hospitable hosts we have ever met :) The couple who run this are simply the most gracious people, who go out of their way to help. We were given food, late check out, and when the cyclone was over, the brother drove us back to Cairns!! Who would do such a thing :)) This is definitely one place we would recommend to EVERYONE! Clean and nice, good food, and not least the most important: the service here is absolutely impeccable :) RECOMMENDED!!!:)"
