The room and overall stay were very good. The beach was clean, although there was some seaweed during our visit. We did notice trucks actively working to remove it, which was appreciated.
There was a great selection of swimming pools, all of which were clean with plenty of seating available.
I highly recommend booking restaurant reservations ahead of your stay, as many were already fully booked when we arrived. Transportation between the adjoining resorts was somewhat inconsistent. If you are staying at Colonial or Kantenah, be aware that most of the transportation seemed to prioritize TRS, White Sands, and Family Selection.
The buffets offered a large selection, especially at breakfast. Each room includes a minibar, which was convenient. Most staff members speak both English and Spanish, though Spanish is more commonly spoken.
They offered family-friendly shows suitable for all ages, which was a nice touch. There is some sales pitching on-site; it was not pushy, but it is present.
The resort is about an hour from Cancun Airport, and airport transportation was $225 one way. I would recommend arranging transportation in advance or contacting the hotel to see if they can assist with transfers.
Overall, it was a good stay with a few things to plan ahead for to make the most of your visit.
