Casa Amaltea er en unik og sjarmerende solfylt leilighet, omgitt av vinduer, smakfullt innredet i venetiansk stil.

Beleilig plassert i sentrum av Venezia (San Polo-området), men likevel et veldig ganske område med og direkte tilgang til vannet på Rio San Polo. Leiligheten ligger få skritt fra den berømte Basilica dei Frari, det berømte Aman Hotel og få minutters gange til Rialtobroen og forskjellige turiststeder. Den virkelige magien i denne leiligheten er dens nærhet til supermarked (ett kvartal unna) og utmerkede restauranter hvor lokalbefolkningen drar for å spise. Det er en 10 minutters spasertur fra jernbanestasjonen og San Marco-plassen.

To soverom, to bad med kjøkkenkrok og sjarmerende stue.
De freske veggene er malt av en kjent lokal kunstner og har nylig blitt restaurert.

Helt nye klimaanlegg på hvert rom i tillegg til italienske sengetøy på sengene. Hvis du leter etter et spesielt opphold i Venezia, er dette det.

Incredible space that made our trip to Venice feel special. The apartment is close to everything but tucked away so that you don’t have to fight through the crowds. There is even a grocery store less than 1 minute away.

Wunderschöne, stilvolle Wohnung. Perfekte, zentrale Lage an einem total ruhigen Platz mit Kanalzugang. Optimal zugeschnitten für 4 Personen – in unserem fall Eltern plus 2 erwachsene Kinder. Sekt zum Empfang und Kaffeekapseln für alle von uns für die 4 Tage. Wir wurden vom Eigentümer persönlich empfangen. Und der konnte uns natürlich einiges zur Geschichte der Wohnung erzählen! Absprachen, Auskünfte... alles sehr kompetent und flexibel.

We loved our stay at this apartment in Venice. It felt so authentic with a mix of old and new world elegance. I would highly recommend taking a private taxi for your arrival or departure since the apartment sits right on a canal and being dropped off by boat, feet away from your place, is a rare treat. The apartment was up 2 flights of stairs that are a bit narrow but we really didn’t have any issues considering we were all 60. The place was clean, well stocked with towels, shampoo and soap/shower gel and coffee pods. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The host, Michele surprised us with a lovely bottle of prosecco, which we enjoyed. Michele was also very responsive and helpful with instructions and information. Our train was delayed by 3 hours, and we arrived quite late at night, but he was there promptly and graciously. The listing says there is a washer available but it is not in the apartment, it’s actually a few blocks away. I would recommend this apartment for adults who want to feel the history and romance of Venice. I would definitely stay here again. We loved arriving by water taxi so much, we booked a water taxi to bring us to the airport for our flight home. It was a bit pricey but the service Michele recommended came right on time and it was very cool being dropped off by boat. It was a wonderful way to end our trip.

We could not be happier with our stay or our host. This apartment was everything you would expect from the pictures. JUst outside the craziness of the tourist, but close enough for easy access to everyplace we wanted to go. From lots of coffee, to classic breakfast snacks, to a small market store on the corner, it was spot on perfect. We loved the blackout shutters as we were able to nap for a few hours when we arrived form America. The dual room Air Conditioners were a HUGE bonus in the Venice Summer.

Beautiful apartment in a quiet location

Our stay was wonderful! The apartment is beautiful and the perfect size for a family of four. The location is quiet, yet easily walkable to all areas of Venice. The highlight of our trip was a boat trip with Derek to the islands. Luigi, the owner of the apartment, recommended Derek, and we loved the private trip to Murano, Torcello, and Burano.

Amazing stay in Venice

Fantastic property and location! Would have been nice to be informed of the 2 set of very step stairs. Also one outdoor door “sticks” and is hard to go in and out. Being informed of that would have been helpful as well.

Perfect location and authentic Venice stay!

We loved every detail of this home. Perfect location easy walk to everything yet out of the hustle bustle. Really get to experience Venice when you stay here. The details are amazing, detail painted walls, beautiful furnishings and every comfort we could want. Grocery store is one block away, water bus 5 min and train 10 min walk or 15-20 min by water bus. Our host Frederica was so welcoming and helpful. She gave us great tips of where to eat and where to go to get the best views and experiences. I will definitely try to stay here again when we return to Venice.

Excellent home base for exploring Venice

In a nutshell: super easy check in, manager was there before we arrived to let us in. Location is truly in the best area, 20 minutes walk from everything including St Marks and the the train station (but give yourself ten extra minutes for every trip out because you will get turned around and lost at some point guaranteed… but that’s half the fun). Safe. Lots of great small bars and restaurants nearby but plenty more 15 minutes away. Price is def fair for the location and the condition of the flat. We weren’t there a lot, mostly to shower and sleep but it had everything you could need. Very pleased and we had an amazing time. Thank you!

Charming apartment

We have been to Venice before but the stay at this apartment was far more charming! The manager communicated very well and was accommodating. We loved the quiet neighborhood with the market down the block. The restaurant on the corner has amazing food! Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return!

A Perfect Month !

I had the opportunity to spend a month in Venice and finding the perfect apartment and location was everything! This apartment was everything it was advertised to be and more ! It was beautifully updated and everything was in perfect working order. I loved the neighborhood and felt very safe. There is a convenient grocery store just a few minutes away and soo many restaurants! You are within walking distance to the train station and also to Saint Mark’s Square. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. My family loved the apartment as much as I did !

The pictures don't lie. Everything was as advertised!

It is always a gamble to depend upon rental platforms when it comes to pictures and descriptions of properties, but in this case we were very happy to see that everything was as described. As we were spending a month in Venice for our 40th anniversary it was important that our lodging was comfortable and met expectations. When booking, Luigi the owner, was prompt in responding to questions and put our minds at ease since we booked 11 months before we came during COVID uncertainty. First, the apartment is beautiful! The antique furnishings, Murano glass pieces, and the hand painted trompe l'oeil plaster walls throughout the apartment set this off as a truly Venetian classic! Second, the air conditioning worked well in both bedrooms which was a concern after reading reviews on other properties that advertised their so called A/C. When we arrived at the end of May we just opened the windows and took advantage of the cross ventilation in each room but as we moved further into June we were very glad to have excellent A/C in both bedrooms. We also used the Venetian shutters depending on where the sun was to help keep things cool. Having a second bedroom and bathroom was useful as our daughter and niece visited for a week. They had their own space and we had ours. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. We usually had breakfast and sometimes an afternoon charcuterie board and wine with provisions purchased at the supermarket conveniently located just down the street. We ate dinner out at a number of superb restaurants in San Polo and neighboring Dorsoduro. In terms of transportation we took a water taxi from the airport which was able to stop literally feet away from the front door of the building which was much better than schlepping luggage over stepped bridges and cobblestone streets! During our stay we used the Vaporetto system with the San Toma' stop a short walk away. Michele, the property manager, met us and gave us the tour and throughout our stay was just a text message away when needed. The Wifi was adequate for both of us to do our work, though slow mid-day when all the day trippers hit the city but this was not really an issue since we were generally out and about. The beds were comfortable, water pressure and hot water adequate, and the entire apartment was spotless! All in all this is 5 stars all the way down the line! Bravissimo Luigi and Michele!

Very nice location. On canal, very easy for water taxi. Very nice, spacious, clean, well stocked property. A true Venetian experience. Communication with Luigi and property manager Michele was excellent. Absolutely no problems. Better than any hotel if you want some extra space and feel like a local.

Convenient Location

The location of the property was quite convenient. One tip: If you take a water taxi from Piazzale Roma, tell them to take you to “Corte Amalthea” as using the property address seems to cause confusion.

Outstanding Apartment

Beautiful place, perfect location

The outstanding stay we had began when Frederika met us outside the building - she was delightful and helpful explaining everything we needed/wanted to know. She was a superb introduction to the property. The apartment is stunning, like a small museum, with its frescoes and the beautiful touches in the decoration. It was as pictured and had everything we could need. The location is very private, overlooks the canal, but is central to all of the sights and activities you will be doing while here. And, as is always important to me, there is a grocery 2 minutes away. This is a special place which is perfect for friends or family.
