«My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age.»

«Very good hotel, however we were disappointed by the amount of dogs that were there including loud barking. I realise that hospitality has had to change especially since Covid but i prefer a time when dogs were not allowed in hotels and catering premises»

«Veldig hyggelig og søtt sted ved landet. Det er et noe eldre anlegg men har abselutt din sjarm. De ansatte var veldig hyggelig og veldig hundevennlig. Helt super atmosphære.»

«Helt ok for kort opphold. Man kan se at det er et gammelt bygg med eldre rom. Vi hadde dessverre dårlig vanntrykk i vasken på rommet vi bodde på. Men ellers var oppholdet helt ok. Helt ok frokost buffé, lite utvalg men god kvalitet. Hyggelige ansatte. :)»

«Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. «Nice old pub building in the centre of the small town. Down stairs arras were very nice with a cosy and traditional atmosphere. On checking in was advised kitchen was closed for 2 of the 3 nights. Breakfast (American pancakes) was very poor. Room was ok but tired around the edges. Very few power points and signs of a long term leak from shower which is always off putting.
