This hotel enjoys watching souls break in slow motion.
Check-in was nerve wrecking. We were up at 4 AM for an early flight. We arrived after 2 PM, hoping for a shut-eye, but the room wasn’t ready. According to the receptionist the check-out was 12 PM (and it seems 2 hours are not enough to clean the room). When asked when it would be ready, the receptionist replied, «I don’t want to make any promises». After calling Expedia and speaking with a manager we finally got our room, which was ready all along. At this time it was well beyond 2 PM — almost an hour. They did offer us the option of checking into an uncleaned room, because we were so eager to get checked-in.
We didn’t get compensated. As for their always available snack and beverage selection, let’s just say that disappointment tastes better.
Location: Less “charming Paris” and more urban. No picturesque boulangeries, no coffee worth mentioning.
And dear management — don’t bother writing a cheery apology. I know the reply template by heart. No apology will make up for the heartbreak that was OKKO Rosa Parks. Let’s just agree — I’m not coming back to OKKO, and you’re not winning any awards for hospitality anytime soon.
To the travellers: spend a little bit more and stay at a different place.
