First, parking is $20 per day here, which is not advertised. The hot tub was out of order and sounds like it has been for some time- but this was a big reason for making the reservation here versus another hotel. We walked out to the pool area to check the hot tub because the desk clerk said it was back in service to smooth things over at check in, to find ourselves standing on a sidewalk that was wet, being painted and a half full pan of paint left unattended on the sidewalk. The area is very narrow as it is and difficult to walk through if people are going in and out at the same time. Could have easily been blocked off entirely. Sheets uncomfortable, bed felt similar to sleeping on the floor. Pillows very flat and did nothing. Barely slept the 2 nights I was there. Tried talking to the front desk to see how I might sleep the second night and get washcloths- he told me foam pillows and washcloths would be to the room shortly. Someone arrived who could not speak English with hand towels and the same pillows. Kind, but couldn’t understand. Other miscellaneous things that were also unimpressive- it’s an old building and not super well maintained based on my room and what I saw during my stay. Couldn’t reach Expedia when I wanted to change hotels, and the most the front desk offered me was some snacks or a bottle of water. Doesn’t fix that I can’t enjoy my vacation trip since I had barely any sleep and hurt from sleeping on that bed. Lots of money wasted because of this hotel.
