I was overall very pleased with my stay at The Palmer. It had many positive aspects, but there were a couple of areas that could use improvement.
The most significant issue was the bed, it was extremely uncomfortable and made a lot of noise with even the slightest movement. This became particularly challenging since we had our toddler sleeping with us. Every time we got in or out of bed, the noise would wake her up. In order to get some rest, I ended up doubling the blankets to use as extra padding. For me, the bed was a major drawback and could influence whether or not I choose to stay here again. I've noticed other guests have mentioned similar concerns in their reviews, so it's surprising that the beds haven’t been addressed yet.
Additionally, while not a major issue, I was a bit disappointed to find there was no frying pan available in the kitchen. I was hoping to prepare a quick breakfast for my toddler, who wakes up early, but was unable to do so. I also noticed that some of the utensils provided weren’t as clean as expected.
Despite these concerns, the overall experience was still positive.
