  • It should be noted that the building has a split-level ground floor which both the flat and main building entrance occupy. There are 22 steps (2 flights) to climb from the main entrance to the flat entrance.

    • Please do not fry or cook foods with strong odours in the apartment.

    • Kindly pay attention to not leave marks on floors and walls throughout your stay and take extra care when moving your suitcases around the apartment.

    • In respect of your privacy, the host and his staff have access to the flat for ordinary maintenance and housekeeping duties.

    • Please take your rubbish out regularly.

    • We leave extra towels and linen inside the apartments as a courtesy in case you need them. Please help our cleaning team and repay the courtesy by washing, and when possible dry any extras 1 day before your departure.

Of all the amenities listed the only one that was in working condition was the air conditioning. So that was good. The washer and dryer had other peoples clothes left in them and both machines were FULL of mold. The was a “coffee machine” a lovely Nespresso. Which had no pods and no way to buy them at store. So absolutely useless to us during our stay. The ironing board cover was ripped and not clean. The carpets are all stained and bad seams. None of the doors to the small terrace opened. The check in process was the most difficult part of the entire trip. I had made the Arcore team aware of my scheduled arrival which was 4pm. There preferred time for checking in. They communicated at 3:45 that I had to pay another 800 on top of my paid in full booking as a damage protection fee. In my paid in full receipt it showed I had already paid the 500 refundable damages protection. I paid them ANOTHER 500 after going around with them. They finally released the check in instructions almost 2 hours after I was to check in. Then the directions to pick up key were difficult to follow and the shop keep that gives you the keys was rude. Over all not the “exquisite flat in Covent Garden” I was expecting. Only pro was proximity to transit and it was quite and cool.

The checkin process was very long (2 hours!) and frustrating with last minute requests for credit card info. We had already put down a 500 deposit when we booked the trip and the host demanded another 800 at checkin. While location was good we were greatly disappointed with the condition of the property. The property was advertised as having air conditioning but the host confirmed that there was no AC when I asked how we can get the temp cooler since the unit was hot. The front bathroom floor and bathroom and kitchen sinks were not clean. The outdoor space off the two bedrooms was filthy and hideous. My husband had to clean the space as best he could as it was an eyesore. The two sinks mentioned were clogged when we arrived. The next day a repairman unclogged the bathroom sink but actually made the kitchen sink worse. We were told not to use the dishwasher because the kitchen sink was not draining. And the stovetop in the kitchen did not work. The repairman said that a repair person would be back the next day- Saturday- to complete the repairs but no one showed and when we contacted the host they said it was the weekend. So for our entire stay we had no working stove top and no working kitchen sink or dishwasher. Hence no meal prep was possible on-site. We believe we should get a partial refund because the kitchen was not usable for meals our entire stay and there was no AC as advertised.
