The Space:

A rare opportunity to stay in a spacious four-bedroom, two-reception, two-bathroom Georgian townhouse within a Grade II listed terrace on Bow Road. Spanning ~1,748 sq ft over four floors, the home blends elegant period character with modern comfort. Part of Coborn Terrace (1822), it features classic yellow-brick façades and distinctive sash windows, a fine example of early nineteenth-century East London architecture. Inside, you’ll find generous bedrooms, versatile reception rooms, and a large kitchen/dining space opening onto a private garden—perfect for family life and entertaining. The surrounding area is steeped in history, once home to notable houses around Tredegar Square, giving Bow Road its unique heritage. Today, the location offers excellent transport connections and easy access to Victoria Park, Regent’s Canal, local lakes, and Stratford, the City, and Canary Wharf.

If you’re in the mood for something tucked away, try Carmelite Café, a hidden gem behind the Nunnery Gallery, known for its friendly service and excellent coffee from Nude Espresso. Along nearby Roman Road, you’ll find plenty of local favourites — including Mae + Harvey, a much-loved independent brunch spot with a seasonal menu, and Café East, known for hearty breakfasts, vegan options, and a cosy neighbourhood feel.



For a casual bite or a full English breakfast, Café Crème Bow offers generous portions and a welcoming, family-run atmosphere. If you’d prefer something a little different, Ahaba Café at All Hallows Bow is a peaceful spot with homemade meals and pastries, while Little Peculiar Bow and Root/25 both serve great coffee and have a community-minded vibe.



For a scenic break, stroll 15–20 minutes to The Pavilion Café in Victoria Park — a local institution overlooking the lake, perfect for weekend brunches or lazy afternoon coffees. Closer to Mile End, The Coffee Room is another favourite for excellent espresso and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.

For food and drinks nearby, Bow and Mile End have plenty of welcoming options. Just a short stroll away, The Coborn is a beautifully restored Young’s pub serving classic British dishes, Sunday roasts, and craft ales in a relaxed setting. Another excellent local choice is The Morgan Arms, known for its cosy interior, friendly staff, and refined pub menu.



A few minutes’ walk takes you to The Green Goose, a stylish gastropub with a leafy beer garden — perfect for evening drinks or weekend lunches. If you fancy something historic, The Lord Tredegar offers hearty food and a charming old-London atmosphere, while The Crown on the edge of Victoria Park pairs pub classics with a bright, family-friendly vibe.



For something a little different, The Lord Morpeth is a lively local favourite famous for its wood-fired sourdough pizzas and vibrant atmosphere. The Angel of Bow serves great beers and homely pub food, while The Eleanor Arms offers live music and traditional East End character. For a special evening, Darling’s Eatery & Studio nearby serves fresh pasta, wine, and small plates in a stylish, intimate setting.

Getting Around:

Excellent transport connections nearby: Bow Road and Mile End tube stations (5 min walk) for Central Line, District and Circle line and Hammersmith and City Line, as well as Bow Church station for DLR (8 min walk). These provide easy access to Heathrow Airport, City Airport, West End, Central London, Stratford, the City and Canary Wharf….. Stansted airport bus stops opposite Mile End station (5 min walk) which provides easy access to Stansted Airport.
